I came here from England 16 years ago and proudly became a US citizen soon after. I yearn for the changes that will move this nation forward into the 21st century, so that the future generations will experience all that is wonderful about the USA. I am so very proud of our President and his fine family.
I fear the rise of extremists right-wing activism. both here and in the UK. The 24-hour news cycle, with its pundits reaping millions and caring not a jot for the people and their hardships, bears sham e and much of the blame for what ails us. I pray for Obama, his safety and success and I hope his supporters allow him the time he needs to make a dent in what he has on his plate.
