Obama cannot win by losing!! His high minded politics will not work! I "hope" that he learned his lesson in PA that Americans love gutter politics and winning is really everything no matter how it is achieved. He allowed himself to be painted by Clinton as weak and a wuss who cannot land a punch!! America has a gladiator mentality and will not go for anyone perceived as week. Don't tell me negative campaigns don't work, don't tell me that tearing down your opponent does not work!! Smear and attacks do work and if Obama wants to change the perception of him now, he has to go nuclear on Clinton. Forget the general election .. that is light years away, focus of Hillary and knock her out first .. she will eventually come to his side even on a stretcher. I am disappointed in Obama!! He allowed her to label him as a wuss weak candidate who cannot land a punch. The republicans already labeled him as unpatriotic with questionable associations. I don't know if from the way he fights he can ever shake off these labels!! Waaay too high minded for American politics!! Most people in this country like to see a blood sports in politics .. that is just the way this culture is. His "Let us not tear each other down but lift each other up" is a JOKE!! This is America for God sake not Utopia .. Americans want a bloody fight and like to see a knock out punch and blood on the winner's hand .. In my family, we realized that we are not true Americans since no one in the house wears flag pins, so my spouse and I immediately went out and bought a box of flag pins and put them in the laundry room, now every time we fold our laundry we stick a flag pin on each piece. But we are still concerned!! Is one pin enough? shouldn't we stick one on the back and another on the front? Also did anyone find a solution to stop these pins from piercing the skin when you wear them on your underwear? These issues are serious and we need a candidate that can address them. :-)

Let us be clear about this since Hillary's campaign is attempting to muddy the waters : There is No comparison whatsoever between what Golsbee, Obama's economic adviser did, and what Mark Penn, Hillary's chief campaign strategist did. The Canadians issued a correction specifically stating that what Golsbee told them was no different from what Obama's campaign public message was. On the other hand, Penn was on the payroll of the Colombian government and they ended up firing him. Penn was basically sold-out to foreign interest and working on behalf of Hillary and as a foreign lobbyist at the same time. Obama Is Right: Words Matter When You Want Your Opponent to Leave the Race

This parsing of words and hypersensitivity to sentence structure is absurd and goes to show how silly this campaign has become. Before reading articles like this one, I understood Obama's statement for what is it : "I am not asking Clinton to drop out, this race can go on as long as she wants." or you can say it in a hundred different ways I suppose .. but we all got the meaning. He could have said "No comment," and still someone will interpret it as dismissive or condescending .. or whatever. Hillary, her staff, and indeed all the Clinton machine is part and parcel of the democratic party, Obama camp is constrained, they cannot hit them below the belt, they cannot stab them in the heart or go for the jugular to get it over with!! They cannot bring up the endless scandals and personal issues of the Clintons they cannot drag people who are lurking in the shadows to put the nails in Clinton's coffins and who the right wing has in the waiting room. The Obama campaign can only do that to republicans, they can do that to McCain himself if it is needed, but they cannot do that to their own democrats who they need so much to be on their side to win in Nov. Because of that, the fight cannot be fair when you are leading like Obama is. Some Hillary supporters and official campaign folks know that and they keep these negative attacks!! These attacks will not help Obama win in Nov, they will not help Hillary's supporters to come to Obama when he needs them the most, they will hardens the positions on both sides and WILL create bitterness and even hate!! posted 03/30/2008 at 12:23:08
