Reeling From Polls -- Obama Strikes Back

McSame supports the war in Iraq. How is that a fatal blunder since he's closed the gap and is now even with Obama. McSame is moving up and Obama is sliding down in the polls. posted 07/16/2008 at 19:51:17
Playing to the righteous righties has never gotten a democrat elected. We'll see how it works out for Obama. posted 07/16/2008 at 19:43:26
Obama, rushing to the right, has passed McSame, rushing to the center, like two trains in the night. It's interesting to note that Obama's approximately 15% lead over McSame has completely vanished with his rightward move. Democrats seem to think that the way to defeat repubs in to be more like them. It's never worked and it won't work this time. Obama has said "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result." In view of his recognition of this fact it's hard to comprehend his doing the same thing that has cost dems numerous elections in the past. posted 07/16/2008 at 18:51:55

Democrats May Kick Out Joe Lieberman If He Addresses The Republican National Convention

Don't expect the size of the majority to prevent the dems fro rolling over and surrendering to the repubs on every single issue. posted 07/13/2008 at 07:15:50

Senate Passes FISA Bill, Gives Telecoms Immunity

By voting for this bill Obama removed an reason to believe he is a better candidate than McSame. I've been a supporter but am so disillusioned now that I don't think the difference between the two is sufficient to justify the high priced gas necessary to get to the polls. Why do so many dems when faced with an opportunity to do the right thing fold like a cheap lawn chair. Many say but there are so many other issues that are important like the supreme court. True, of course, but how do we know he won't surrender to the repub on that as well. posted 07/10/2008 at 07:28:13

Will Obama Feel the Sting of Social Networking?

You point is well taken, but what assurance do we have that Obama and the dems won't roll over on all these important issues. posted 06/27/2008 at 09:34:54

Obama On FISA: Security Trumps Suing Phone Companies

I am disappointed not only with Obama but the democrat party as a whole. I will still vote for him but will do so unenthusiastically, expecting nothing more than his continually rolling over for corporate America at the expense of the people and the constitution. posted 06/26/2008 at 10:02:01

Obama Backs Bill Giving Immunity To Telecoms

Expect this bill to pass easily with telecom immunity intact. The most distinguishing characteristic of the democrats is their testicular inadequateness. Bush says jump they say how high. posted 06/22/2008 at 06:37:29
Might want to see how he votes on the FISA bill. That will answer the corporate candidate question. posted 06/20/2008 at 20:33:47

Obama Opts Out Of Public Financing, Reformers Back Decision

I don't see what the big deal is with this campaign finance issue. Obama has simply changed his mind. I see nothing wrong with his changing his mind when faced with a changing reality. We've already seen the results over the past seven plus years with a stubborn potus who will not change his mind to better accommodate a changing paradigm.

McSame is perfect willing to accept a socialized campaign system which benefits him, but is against socialized medicine which would benefit everyone. Shame on him. posted 06/19/2008 at 20:35:11

Dems Not Backing Obama? Rahm Will Deal With It

Democrats are progressive. Republicans are regressive. A cursory glance at the past 7 plus years with the crushing of the middle class, jobs shipped out of country to cheap labor markets, gas prices out of sight and rising, housing foreclosures at depression levels, wars and rumors of war, etc. should present a clear picture for voters to make their choice. If you like this misery and want more, vote republican. If you want a chance for a better future, vote democratic. It's that simple. posted 06/13/2008 at 19:35:07
This attitude is pervasive through the deep south. He will not carry a single southern state. Might as well concentrate his energy and efforts in those states he can win. Hopefully, there are enough with sufficient electoral votes to win the election for him. posted 06/13/2008 at 19:19:10

$4 A Gallon: National Gas Price Average Reaches Record

The key to lower gas prices is to vote these republicans out of office. Their policies and the Iraq war are the direct causes of these insane gas prices. Oil was $24.00 a barrel when bush launched his war. In everything there is a cause and effect. Never has the truism been more succinctly demonstrated. posted 06/09/2008 at 06:45:23

Pastor Of Clinton's Former Church: Don't Use Wright To Polarize

You raise an interesting question. Throughout the last several decades of prevasive pedophelia by catholic priests, the media has never devoted as much cumulative coverage to this repulsive scandal as it has to Rev Wright's one seemingly controversial comment. Why is this? Me thinks it might be a racial thing. posted 03/26/2008 at 03:10:22

Is "Success" Of Iraq Surge About To Unravel?

A huge American army in the middle of Arabia is the cause of all the violence. Remove the American military presence and the violence will stop. It's very simple, really.
