progressive atheist that is huge animal lover, huge fan of MMA (mixed martial arts), and musician, that also loves to workout and do backpacking/any outdoor stuff.
Also would like to climb any of the 8000 meter peaks (Everest, Cho Oyu, etc) someday.
Believe in following, "do unto others as they would do unto you"/Golden Rule philosophy (it didn't originate from Christianity either!)
Was huge Obama Supporter but because of the watering down of health care and not prosecuting the Bush Admin for torture, I'm starting to lose "faith."
I wasn't brought up religious and never believed in a higher being, but really didn't care about religion one way or another until I moved to the south.
There I became somewhat of a militant atheist because of the ignorance and hypocracy of the majority of the people there.
Now that I've moved to CO, I'm back to my somewhat non-aggressive atheism (unless I read some crazy religious post, usually having to do with creationism/evolution).
In favor of:
gay marriage
pot legalization (or any drug for that matter)
repeal of DADT
prosecution of the Bush Admin for torture, etc
single payer healthcare
withdrawal from Iraq/Afganistan
stiffer animal cruelty punishment
buying local food (grassfed beef/dairy, etc)
campaign reform (this legalized bribery is getting ridiculous!)
better media news reporting!! (Sarah Palin posting on Facebook is newsworthy? really?)
