McCain Predicts The Iraq War Will Be "Won" By 2013

MISSION TO BE ACCOMPLISHED. It's hard to control someone on the other side of the planet who has a resource we want on this side of the planet. We want OUR oil from under YOUR territory. And we shouldn't have to pay a high price for it! There's no good reason to be occupying a far off foreign country who has never intended to invade our own country. This is so far from the reality of the World Wars of the past it's ridiculous. Now let's get back to criticizing Obama for using the word "Sweetie," the hot topic of the day. posted 05/15/2008 at 19:45:53

California Gay Marriage Ban Overturned: Major Updates

Heterosexuals worried about the downfall of marriage due to inclusive gay marriage should spend more time worrying about that 40-60% divorce rate. Marriage works well when it's convenient to THEIR needs. posted 05/15/2008 at 15:42:36
This needs to be a Federal issue. It's great if you can get married in one state, but it doesn't cover a lot of important issues that would involve other states or other countries. Essentially, whatever happens in CA stays in CA. You can't relocate anywhere else and keep it binding. All immigration rights are denied. In other words, if my partner is from Canada, I wouldn't get the same immigration rights as a heterosexual couple. They wouldn't be able to move to this country because these are Federal issues. The second I drive out of CA, I lose my marriage rights. If I'm on a trip to Vegas from CA, and my partner is hospitalized, I'm not guaranteed visitation rights. There are a host of issues this doesn't cover because all rights end at the state line. posted 05/15/2008 at 15:40:28

India Blames Fat Americans For High Food Costs

What's up with HuffPo suddenly making NYTimes stories their own? Just because Drudge does it, it's ok? So we click the story listed on your "news" site, and we come to the NYTimes website. There we have to "log in" to view the story. Wouldn't it be easier if we just skipped HuffPo altogether and just read our news at the source? This site is all about bringing up news put together by the real news media, then attaching a lot of ego driven opinion articles slanted towards Obama and against Hillary. Then we throw in tons of banner ads promoting Arianna's latest book. And you're all such good liberals? India is right, we eat too much food here and waste it. However, they need to take a hard look at how much food is necessary to support their own population. You can't act like a bunch of rabbits, then complain because you don't have enough resources. posted 05/15/2008 at 13:50:22

Bush: I Gave Up Golf For The Troops

He gave up golf because Michael Moore's "documentary" portrayed him as a golfing bafoon who was sending the boys off to die while he was enjoying the good life. Hillary's Gift to Women

Let's face it, Hillary didn't come THIS close to snagging the Democratic nomination had it not been for the fact 49% of the voters cast a vote in her favor. Insulting Hillary is insulting to those 49% of Democratic voters who may, or may not, cast their vote for Obama in the general election. His candidacy depends on it. You'd think Hillary was a Republican judging from the mudslinging. The good thing about having virtually no experience is that you haven't accrued negatives. I've never seen anyone in politics who didn't sooner or later earn a certain amount of hatred from a large percent of the population. We're mostly just passing the time waiting for the negatives to surface. If in fact Hillary is the monster you suggest she is, Obama should be hardened up and ready to wage war against the Republican party this fall. posted 05/14/2008 at 23:12:38

"Hillary Democrats" Could Be Up For Grabs

Hopefully people will realize that electing someone with no experience doesn't necessarily mean the world will be a better place. At least when Bush was elected, he had been a moderately successful governor of Texas. Obama has nothing but "image." Slamming Hillary only makes her supporters hate Obama's supporters even more. Obama will NOT be the next president without every last Hillary supporter casting their vote for him. The conservatives are loving every second of this Democratic party cannibalism. McCain doesn't have to do any of the dirty work, he can kick back and watch us do it to ourselves. posted 05/10/2008 at 16:43:19

Obama Suggests Offer Maybe Clinton Can't Refuse

I'm confused. How did this story ever get started? When has Hillary EVER said she wanted her opponent to pay off her debts? Who cares if she loaned herself money she made herself? I noticed how much Obama has raised, yet he BARELY beat Hillary. And technically he still hasn't been handed the nomination. Anyone who insults Hillary doesn't realize her 49% of the Democratic voters are going to be the votes that will help Obama beat McCain. Without every single one of Hillary's supporters voting for Obama, he'll LOSE. Slamming Hillary is like sticking an exacto knife in your forehead. Are all you Obamaniacs that dumb that you can't see the bigger picture? Getting the Democratic nomination will be a first, not because he's the first half black man to win the nomination, but it will be the first "accomplishment" his supporters could actually name. posted 05/10/2008 at 05:04:35

Starbucks Labeled "Slutbucks" By Christian Group Due To New Logo

So the religious group wives DIDN'T spread their legs? Does the coffee come with a shot of milk? The only thing this press release will do is to give Starbuck's a counterculture feel, instead of a corporate chain feel. Which will lead to increased sales. Clinton's Open Letter To Obama On MI and FL

All of those newly signed up Obama supporters/voters weren't Democrats to begin with, and when Obama is out, they're not sticking around to support the party. Fair weather Democrats. Florida and Michigan need to be accurately counted because these voters will in fact be voting in the general election. We need to know which candidate will win the presidency. We don't want to select Obama just because Florida isn't counted and we don't want to upset the African American voters who essentially all voted for one of their own (even though Obama is half white). Being super liberal is fine by me and the Democratic party. But just like Kerry and Gore, a snooty intellectual type turns off mainstream voters. I guess I'd rather be a Hillary supporter saying "I told you so" when McCain wins the presidency, than an ardent Obama supporter who gets all the way to the Superbowl and can't close the deal. The faster the rise to the top, the faster the crash and burn. posted 05/10/2008 at 15:47:48

Obama On O'Reilly: "Looking Forward" To Going On The Factor

Hillary's appearance on his show was a home run. A lot of Democrats are starting to watch more of the "conservative" news shows because they're tired of watching news constantly slanted towards Obama. As a result, Obama is now feeling the pressure to go on this news show to help chip away at Hillary's gain. Hillary knows the election is all about winning in November. It's not about appealing to that 25% of the population that are currently helping him nudge about 1% ahead of Hillary. That's why Hillary would statistically beat McCain in the election, and Obama would lose to him. O'Reilly isn't going to go for the jugular if Obama goes on the show. But I do get the feeling O'Reilly would rather have Hillary as president than ultra-liberal Obama. posted 05/05/2008 at 13:21:38

Early Indiana turnout heavy in strong Obama counties

Black people are all voting for Obama. How is that thinking for themselves? (Ok, so 10% are not voting for him.) If everyone else was "thinking for themselves" all along, Obama would have won by a landslide months ago. He has more spending money and is barely squeaking by. He has no "history." And you know he's going to do a great job running the country because? He gives a good speech? (I think he's overrated as a speaker. He has the right "look." Like Mariah or Whitney or Prince or Tiger, or other "mixed" celebrities. Maybe he should put out a cd?) At least when George Bush was running for president, he had some solid experience as the governor of Texas (and look how that turned out). Imagine someone with even LESS experience. Hillary Clinton To Face Bill O'Reilly On "The Factor"

I've listened to Bill O'Reilly talk about Hillary, and it's not as hateful as one might think. Currently the conservative right is going crazy over the Obama scandal. I think this will definitely help Hillary and hurt Obama. I almost get the impression O'Reilly admires how the Clintons move to the center, rather than move to the extreme left like Obama. I personally prefer the extreme liberal, though if you're appealing to a country of moderates to conservatives, it may not pan out well for Obama in the November general election. posted 04/29/2008 at 14:29:07

Media Jump Ship From Obama To Clinton

Like I've been saying for months. All that cash, all that fervor, all that inexperience - and he can't close the deal. I say to the super delegates, give it to Hillary. She's been implying all along that she'd bring Obama on as a VP. This would unite both sides. Both would likely eventually be a president. And everyone would be equally unhappy, to the benefit of the Democratic party. To do anything else would cause an "outrage" between this divided party and they'd lose to McCain. The Republicans would make Hillary seem like an amateur when they start mud slinging, if he were to be the Democratic candidate. At least Hillary is an old tested bird, and we've seen all of her dirty laundry (and Bill's). Then Obama comes out in 8 years as the president, experience under his belt, and the Obamaniacs get 16 full years of glory. posted 04/26/2008 at 01:30:37

A Bad Week For Body Image

Take a look at a National Geographic magazine. Compared to many tribal communities, what the "modern" woman does to herself is right in line with what has always been done. If "natural" people are tattooing their entire bodies, lengthening their necks with discs, and stretching their earlobes beyond belief, how is a breast implant (or two) using modern plastic surgery any worse? Gays are a big Democratic party base that goes out and supports the team with their vote. If you want a group that will teeter the votes a few percentage points in your direction, talk directly to them. I would assume anyone who wants to exclude gays from the same rights as everyone else, wouldn't be voting for that candidate anyhow. Obama is half black. Hillary is all woman. I'd say the bigger accomplishment is a woman breaking through the all boys club glass ceiling. (And I'm a guy.) Obama would be taken as seriously as Jesse Jackson if he were 100% black. To bring down Obama, you have to bring down people around him. It's politically incorrect to throw a barb at a "black" guy if you're white. So everything Hillary says will be taken as "she's a monster" attacking the poor black guy. The fact Hillary is giving him a good run for the money operating on a shoestring budget attests to the fact many people see through this media lovefest. It's not so much a lovefest as a fear of being seen as a racist by members of the media. This will ultimately turn on Obama when we move out of Democrat territory and into general election turf. The country isn't split between Hillary and Obama, the country is split between Democrats and Republicans. Hillary or Obama each only have a quarter, and the Republicans have a half. In my mind, the only way the Democrats will win the general election is for Hillary to take the top slot and Obama to take the VP slot. Therefore, no tip necessary. You work at Starbuck's, and it's like you're just a valuable member of society who is paying the bills to get through college. Therefore, you deserve to get more money because you're in "transition." In other words, white collar people doing blue collar jobs get "tipped." You're a waiter, you get tipped. I go to McDonald's for my $2 ice coffee that's as delicious as Starbuck's (actually, more delicious), and it's not acceptable to leave a tip. Having all the money in the world doesn't mean you can buy the presidency. It just shows your half (or narrowly over half by some accounts, even though the race isn't over) of the voters are more desperate to get you in office. With all of this money Obama is generating, you'd think he'd have shaken Hillary's support weeks ago and have a huge lead. Remember, a lot of Democratic voters went out and placed a vote for Hillary. It isn't some underhanded tactic on her part. In a multimillion dollar campaign, $25,000 is chump change. I hardly think she's out to screw over the little guy. At least she's over in the Middle East where this whole war nightmare is going down. Spending a weekend in say the Virgin Islands isn't quite the same. posted 03/26/2008 at 00:08:46

Obama Vacation Photo

About as interesting as watching grass growing. At least get him out on the beach so we can see his man-boobies. posted 03/24/2008 at 22:51:10

Priscilla Presley Treated By Phony Cosmetic Doctor

I really don't think she looks that bad. Especially considering her age (like a hundred). She isn't even close to the complete dysfunction of what's going on with her former son-in-law Michael Jackson. posted 03/24/2008 at 22:59:36

Obama Staff Silent On Tiffany's Purchase

What kind of cheapskate goes to Tiffany's and only spends $600? That's the real scandal. posted 03/24/2008 at 23:13:23

4000 US Soldiers Killed In Iraq

Top 10 Most Useless Items of Crapola

Apparently you haven't seen a Sears catalog from the 1950s. There have always been plenty of bad gadgets to go around. posted 03/24/2008 at 22:54:12

Carville Compares Richardson Endorsement To Biblical Betrayal

The big problem I have with Richardson is that his state voted for Hillary over Obama. So much for voting for the will of the people. I hope more superdelegates follow his lead and vote for what they want, rather than what the constituencies vote. Obama would make a great Vice President. posted 03/23/2008 at 14:14:21

Obama Has Clear Money Advantage

You'd think Obama would be doing a LOT better than Hillary considering the amount of money he's blowing on the campaign. Hillary is arguably keeping up, or not much behind, and working on a shoestring budget. Goes to show you, it takes more than just a lot of money to win an election. posted 03/22/2008 at 00:38:42

Another Bill Clinton Moment On The Campaign Trail

Interesting how everyone was accusing the Hillary campaign of being behind the improper passport allegations. Now the story is the lead on CNN.com about how an Obama supporter and campaign contributer was actually behind it. Now HuffPo is hairsplitting some lame Bill Clinton story to try and continue the "Hillary is a Monster" rhetoric, and the hot negative Obama news story of the day is getting no coverage. Why don't you just set the default HuffPo link to www.obamaforpresident.com, fire the editors and save Ariana some money? posted 03/22/2008 at 17:34:28

Obama Endorsed By Bill Richardson

Interesting how all the Obama fans are all about ignoring the superdelegate votes, and paying attention to the voting public. Then they get this guy to endose him, when his own state's voters selected Hillary as the winner. I think we should follow Obama's lead in this one and just have all the superdelegates vote for who they want, rather than paying attention to the popular vote. posted 03/22/2008 at 01:53:37

Obama, Clinton And McCain's Passports Breached: Two State Dept Officials Fired, Investigation Underway

Because your candidate doesn't have a commanding enough lead, this has something to do with Hillary? People voting for Hillary are the reason she's giving him a good fight. She can't exactly go out and vote a couple million times herself. Blame this on the idiot who was going places he wasn't supposed to be. Obama is outspending Hillary 2 go 1 in many places and still can't beat her. And this week goes to show you, the glorious facade can and will melt away. posted 03/20/2008 at 21:25:30

Punished for Being Pregnant

The problem is that many jobs require a big commitment from a person, and having a child becomes the new No. 1 priority in your life. Completely understandable of course. If I'm hiring an employee it's because I need a tough job taken care of. This means you can't stay late a few hours as needed, you'll be taking more personal days to deal with child illnesses and everything else that children demand, and there is always the lingering thought that you could just up and quit to stay at home. From the standpoint of a mother, they're trying to make it and have a demanding family life. From the employer's standing, they're trying to get a job done well in a competitive environment. If they think you could become a weak link, they're going to move you out of the position to hurt the company. Imagine you're the lead accountant and everyone needs to get paid. You disappear a couple weeks for maternity leave. You can't stay late because the kids need to be picked up, etc. etc. (Yes, I know you can hire a babysitter.) But from an employer's standpoint this is risky and a bigger issue than just you as an employee. posted 03/23/2008 at 20:35:18
