I am a 53 year old Registered Nurse who has had an interesting background, professionally I have been involved in mental health and hold both graduate and undergraduate dgrees in the field. I was brought up early in a service fmily to be politically astute with a liberal viwpoint and spent the first 7 years of my life in post-war Europe, then transferred to South Carolina where my parent were "secret members"/ supporters of the NAACP during the Civil Rights movement. I dropped out of school at the age of 16 and enlisted and served 14 months,2 weeks, 3 days in Vietnam. I view myself as a liberal though free to depart from common views of liberals (i.e. immigration) my wife is Peruvian, and I have 3 wonderful children 2 of which are adopted. I have been very lucky/blessed and am agnostic. I write under the blog pen name of "constitutionalist" and am the author of idealthoughts @ http://constitutionalist-idealthoughts.blogspot.com.
