How Happy Is Your Home? 5 Tips On How To Win An Argument

I like to follow the rule "If I wouldn't argue with a friend about it, why would I argue with my partner?" rule.

Saves a lot of stress. posted 07/22/2008 at 16:46:29

Why All Mommies Are Beautiful

"Is this simply a useful tool for mothers who want to explain plastic surgery to their children, or is this an evil doctor who is trying to capitalize even more on women's insecurities and is perpetuating the same insecurities in the next generation as a result?"

Yes and No to everything said here. It's a useful tool for women trying to explain the surgery, and he might have written it to be helpful, BUT...

The title he chose just capitalizes on insecurities and perpetuates them into the next generation.

I have never been attracted to a woman who has had plastic surgery. This is a good thing though, since I look nothing like the guys that women think are "hot". posted 07/20/2008 at 02:56:28

Why Touching Sometimes Trumps Sex

Why are all of the "Living" coupling articles "Man wants sex, woman doesn't want sex - let's blame the guy" stories? Where's the "people living as partners accepting each others needs" articles? posted 07/18/2008 at 17:16:41

Rush Limbaugh Launches Second Phase Of "Operation Chaos"

For all his touted numbers, less than 5% of America bothers to tune him in. I tried listening to him once, but he was too ridiculous to spend time on. posted 07/10/2008 at 09:19:21

Rush Limbaugh On His New Deal: "I'm Not Retiring Until Every American Agrees With Me"

They have to pay him 400 million, he and his ilk are why 400 million is worth a lot less than it was before bushco went into office.

I think it would be more fun to just never agree with him - other people get to retire, relax and enjoy their lives. Let's keep Limbaugh addicted, stressed out and whiny, it's the least he deserves for "carrying the water" of the Republican party. posted 07/03/2008 at 11:33:59

Jon Stewart Mocks Media's Coverage Of Flood: "Human Dipsticks"

I have been mocking the MSM for hopping in the water too. Although I haven't been laughing at them, I've been yelling "Get out of the water!" every time I see one of them in it.

With all the warnings that the water is a mix of herbicides, pesticides, sewage and fertilizer you would think that they would be smarter than that. What they hell are they thinking? posted 06/20/2008 at 01:40:36

NRA's Political Clout Is Waning

The funniest part of this years NRA convention was when they outlawed bringing guns into the main convention hall.

As a lifelong liberal with a gun collection, I support all the amendments, not just the second. I once belonged to the NRA but quit when I received the info and realized it was just a bunch of conservative agenda crap masquerading as gun info. posted 06/15/2008 at 03:27:17

Should Hillary Leave Him Now?

Whatever she and Bill decide is their own business. Hopefully the rest of the world will butt out for a while and in the interests of 'feminism' and 'equality' allow those two adults to make their own decisions without a lot of outside whining and invasion of privacy.

There are actual issues like the economy, health care, people's rights and responsibilities, climate change and energy use that we would be better discussing, as they will be more important to our lives and the lives of our family members for years to come.

And, as far as Chelsea saying "It's none of your business.", she is correct. How Chelsea felt about it during and after the Monica Lewinsky thing is none of your business. posted 06/14/2008 at 02:06:04

McCain Supporter Fiorina Deserves The Same Scrutiny As Obama Veep Vetter

Anyone who advocates sending jobs overseas is Un-American. It's people like her who have driven the US economy into the ground. posted 06/13/2008 at 02:28:58
I'll vote for Obama because he will be good for this country. I have no clue why you would be worried because he was hiring her. posted 06/13/2008 at 02:26:23

Obama v. Fox v. Murdoch

Contact Fox's advertisers and explain that you are putting Fox news on parental block or whatever your blocking technology is because of the soft-core porn "special reports". posted 06/13/2008 at 01:48:40

The Rapture: You've Been Left Behind - Now What?

The rush to 'Rapture' is because supposedly the raptured will get to go to heaven without having to endure Judgment. Being 'true Christians', they will just float up to heaven and bypass anyone looking at how they lived their lives.

The dead and 'not so perfect' Christians will have to go through being judged worthy enough to go to heaven. posted 06/15/2008 at 06:21:19

Maria Bartiromo Warns That Obama Will Hike Taxes, Says Someone Earning $200K/Year Is "Not Rich"

Rich people in America need to start paying their way. They've gotten rich on the backs of the rest of America by offshoring, outsourcing and downsizing, it's time they started paying their fair share of taxes. If they are too un-American to do that, we should nationalize their businesses and incomes and send them to join other un-american types. posted 06/10/2008 at 23:53:51

Obama's Family, Kenyans Celebrate His Victory (VIDEO)

I'm betting 'throne' is what Kenyan's think all leaders sit on; just as they probably think the first thing all politicians do is help their families.

The stupidest argument in the world has to be that some of Obama's extended family is Muslim so he must be too. Some of my extended family are Muslim, Mormon, Evangelical Christian, Jehovah's Witness, Pentecostal and Buddhist. That doesn't make me any of those religions. posted 06/10/2008 at 02:33:20

A Good Case for Universal Healthcare

My best friend didn't have health insurance because it wasn't affordable. He followed the author's "emergency room?" pattern. He died a few years ago; the cancer was all through his system.

Another man I know, his entire family has x number of dollars of dental care their insurance provides. In order to make sure there is enough care for his wife & kids, he pulls his own teeth with pliers when they finally go numb. He chews aspirin the rest of the time.

We need Universal Health Care. posted 06/08/2008 at 23:40:33

Letter to a Clinton Supporter

If you want:

1. More soldiers and money wasted in Iraq.
2. Roe vs Wade overturned
3. A neo-con right-wing supreme court deciding how your children are treated.
4. More invasive prying into your and your children's lives.
5. Overturned domestic partnership benefits.
6. more out-sourcing of US jobs.
7. An even bigger government deficit
8. Even less people with health insurance
9. The US to turn into a third-world nation
10. Everyone's standard of living to tank

Then by all means, vote for McCain. Cut your nose off to spite your face, make sure that your children and your children's children get to deal with your spiteful decision today for the rest of their lives, however short they may be. That'll punish everyone for not doing what you wanted, won't it.

Then you can tell your grandkids "Well, if they had nominated Hillary like I wanted, I wouldn't have had to punish everyone by voting for McCain. Too bad your life sucks, but that's the price people pay for not doing what I want." posted 06/04/2008 at 12:15:44

Daily Show's Stewart 'Quietly Visiting' Ailing Iraq Soldiers

So, Jon Stewart wins a Merit Award from Joint Chiefs vice-chair General James Cartwright because he has been visiting wounded soldiers since 2004 and some Huffpo want to give him grief for it? Why?

Because the award was publicly given? That's the only reason anyone found out about it. If you must spew bile, do it at someone that deserves it. posted 03/27/2008 at 17:21:37

Top 10 Most Useless Items of Crapola

I agree with you on everything except the auto-adjusting wrench. The wrench has been a lifesaver for me. I had a couple of accidents that have made it nearly impossible for me to work an adjustable wrench with one hand; working the little wheel with the thumb on my wrench hand is just not possible anymore.

Grab an auto adjuster and I am back to repairing the stuff around my house and building stuff. I love it. posted 03/25/2008 at 12:57:49
