I don't have a lot of hope, Rule, but here's a start:

Congress needs to be disconnected from the lobbyists. For my nickel, lobbying should be illegal. Arguements should be done in a public forum. Congress won't pass this type of legislation, so they need to be voted out.

Elections need to be clean. The MSM needs to reprise its role as the fourth estate. Honestly and transparency need to return. Criminals in government need to be prosecuted and banned from public office. Business needs to be severed from government. Etc, etc.

Not likely that one man or a group of men can change this. Therefore, the best thing is to hasten its demise and rebuild from scratch. The longer it is delayed, the worse it's going to be. posted 07/23/2008 at 08:43:21
