Just a patriot, student of history and someone who is very concerned about the state of the nation right now. My screen name is a tribute to the great Scottish freedom fighter, his love of his country & people, and his fearlessness.
I believe that we should take care of those at home first, and not make it our job to run the world. We've seen that fail so many times and haven't learned yet, I suppose. When we have people living in poverty here while working....and have homeless and starving people on the streets, I find the money being spent overseas absurd.
I believe that the real solutions come from the people themselves and that many of our elected leaders need to re-read their job descriptions weekly.
I'm optimistic about life, but care very much for my country. As such, I tend to speak up :)
