Early Indiana turnout heavy in strong Obama counties

I think that obama-Wright have become linked in all our minds. We see Wright, and say---I do not like him, No to Obama.

There should be a non-stop ad from obama--- Hillary--Bill smiling together---Then a clip, i did not have sex with that woman------i did not have sex with that woman posted 05/03/2008 at 01:07:35

Baptist Minister Asks McCain: "Did You Call Your Wife A C**t?" (VIDEO)

This whole story about earmarks being bad , immoral and illegal was an invention of Newt when he was the trying to gain control of congress. Democrats being in power, would take money to their states. i see that as a legimate job of a congressman and senator to get a piece of the pie for his state. That is how he bargains for his or her vote. Otherwise what else can a representative do or ask for. one little vote, means nothing. So stop being brainwashed. Press and expect your representative to bring home some money to your state. posted 05/02/2008 at 19:11:31

On Sexist Media Coverage of Hillary Clinton

Those are the Republicans, sir. Once she eliminates obama, they will eliminate her, by the kind of words and tactics you write about. And unfortunately, and hopefully, the AA, above 50000 income, young and foolish, college educated , women younger then 50, smaller state citizens, western state citizens, caucus states citizens, will remember her nastiness and refuse to go vote for her, so she can win the presidency and defeat the republicans, without the support of the above mentioned ,unnecessary and useless, obamanites. posted 04/28/2008 at 00:32:25
Dear MizJ

I have posted a series of definations, to explain, the race card the clintons are playing. And also about how they are exploiting the sex card.

It unfortunately seems to be working, and the nation that used to be divisible along blue and red states only, now is also breaking along racial, sexual, and income lines.

I will let you read and draw your own conclusions. please go and read the statements made by Bill Clinton, Geraldine ferraro, and Hillary Clinton and judge them based on the official definitions. posted 04/28/2008 at 00:24:15

Some masculist theorists posit that prior to the sexual revolution the idealized male was expected to be virile while the idealized female was expected to be modest. They note that after the sexual revolution, females were given more liberty to express virility while the reverse has not been true for males, who have yet to be given a choice to be non-virile. They argued that the dual identity of hypersexuality and asexuality is a luxury and special status that only exists for females. However, many feminists believe that this dual identity rather allows males to condemn a female for her sexuality for being either modest or virile (see double standard).

Here in lies the problem that all the male commentators face. No matter what they say or do, they will be labelled as SEXIST posted 04/28/2008 at 00:14:14
Race card

In the second context, it refers to someone exploiting prejudice against another race for political or some other advantage. The use of the southern strategy by a political candidate is said by some to be a version of "playing the race card", such as when former Senator Jesse Helms, during his 1990 North Carolina Senate campaign ran an ad showing a black man taking a white man's job, intended as a criticism of the idea of racial quotas. The ad was interpreted by many people as trying to play to racist fears among white voters. posted 04/28/2008 at 00:03:38
Race baiting
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This Source

Race baiting is the term for an act of using racially derisive language, actions or other forms of communication, to anger, intimidate or incite a person or groups of people, or to make those persons behave in ways that are inimical to their personal or group interests. This can also be accomplished by implying that there is an underlying race based motive in the actions of others towards the group baited, where none in fact exists. The term "race" in this context can be construed very broadly to include the social constructs which define race or racial difference, as well as ethnic, religious, gender and economic differences. Thus the use of any language or actions perceived to be for the purpose of exploiting weaknesses in persons who can be identified as members of certain groups, or to reinforce a group's perceived victimhood, can be contained within the concept of "race baiting." Many people who practice race baiting often believe in racism, or have an interest in making the group believe that racism is what motivates the actions of others.
The term "race baiting" is often a critique of anti-racist actions and communications implying that those who criticize apparent racism are themselves guilty of either a form of racism or of simple manipulation. posted 04/27/2008 at 23:59:58
Researchers, including Dean Karlan and Marianne Bertrand, at the MIT and the University of Chicago found in a 2003 study that there was widespread discrimination in the workplace against job applicants whose names were merely perceived as "sounding black". These applicants were 50% less likely than candidates perceived as having "white-sounding names" to receive callbacks for interviews. The researchers view these results as strong evidence of unconscious biases rooted in the United States' long history of discrimination (i.e. Jim Crow laws, etc.) posted 04/27/2008 at 23:47:46
sexism

The belief that one sex (usually the male) is naturally superior to the other and should dominate most important areas of political, economic, and social life. Sexist discrimination in the United States in the past has denied opportunities to women in many spheres of activity. Many allege that it still does. (See also affirmative action, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, glass ceiling, and National Organization for Women.)

Sociological definitions of Racism
Some sociologists have defined racism as a system of group privilege. In Portraits of White Racism David Wellman (1993) has defined racism as "culturally sanctioned beliefs, which, regardless of intentions involved, defend the advantages whites have because of the subordinated position of racial minorities," (Wellman 1993: x). Sociologists Noel Cazenave and Darlene Alvarez Maddern define racism as "...a highly organized system of 'race'-based group privilege that operates at every level of society and is held together by a sophisticated ideology of color/'race' supremacy. Racist systems include, but cannot be reduced to, racial bigotry," (Cazenave and Maddern 1999: 42). posted 04/27/2008 at 23:46:10

Nev. GOP recesses state convention, angering Paul supporters

If one counts the split conservative vote between huckabee and Romnee, add the Ron paul supporters, we have a large number of republicans, ready to jump ship or sit at home. Obama will win without racist low income, uneducated whites. I also do not see the over 50, post menopausal women going for McCain.

So Superdelegates, be confident that obama will win this election. Don't you let the Clinton people scare you. Remember, it is a pattern. And it is a trgedy that it is still selling: Caucauses do not matter, middle america does not matter, small states do not matter, young people do not matter, pople making more then 50000 do not matter, college educated professionals do not matter, AA do not matter and on and on it goes.

The current political spin is : What matters are working class Whites. If some of them do not like obama because of the color of his skin, or because they do not feel comfortable with him in a bar, or the fact that he eats salad, while they are ready to drop dead after a high fat meal, matters not.

Obama can win.

he deserves a chance to prove it. And I will wake up and listen to a great speech::::: They said it can never be done. They said it was not possible, and Thankyou america, today we have made the impossible possible. We have come to pass, and the change, that we seeked, us, has arrived.

i think, you got my point. That is how, we stupid obama cult members feel, after the dirty politics by the Clintons.

And want to say, YOU ARE NOT WORTH THE EFFORT. posted 04/28/2008 at 01:53:30
Point:
obama supporters were put down as Stupid teary eyed, cult members etc

Obama as just words etc etc,

The party was still together.

Race baiting by Bill Clinton. it worked and AA comunity got alienated, and slowly the needed white vote came around to mama.

The kitchen sink politics before Ohio, with mockery etc, further alienated and made the obama supporters BITTER.

Anyway , I am still clueless about how is Hillary crusified ?

So , the anger of obama supporters is justified based on the negative campaign by Sen. Clinton. While the Clinton supporters are complaining because they are sore loosers.

Plus, the AA community, if it reunites behind the clintons, will prove that clintons were right, clever, and knew the crybabies would come home to mama anyway.

This also gives them a once in a life time chance to vote republican, establish their independance and let the republicans feel, hey , these black people can vote for us, we will willingly court them from now on.

So obama supporters have more of areason to vote republican, then Clinton supporters. posted 04/28/2008 at 01:51:15

So these total lies about her being a lesbian and all will get McCain elected, we are all Americans. Mccain, hillary, who cares. Politics: Intrigue or maneuvering within a political unit or group in order to gain control or power.

What is the lesson ? Politics is the way it is, because it has to be. Negative campaigning is the other name for defining your opponent the way you want to. Penn and Rove are top of the line, because they understand somthing about the psycology of humans.

The very tactics, that we hated the republicans for using against her husband, are now her very essence. how can we hate the republican hate machine and love her for the same hate tactics. I bet you , she could have won this without going negative, in Ohio. in P.A. and other states, if she had not turned into a low ball slimy snake. You obviously fail to see the implications of kitchen sink politics. The slimeness in throwing the whole African American community under the bus to gain the 10 percent racist while blue collar votes. We all started the same way. We committed a sin and supported senator obama over her. So we were labelled a cult. If we lived in a Caucus state , we did not matter any more. if we stayed up all night to vote in the caucuses , we became activist bullies, out to win by mob tactics. Senator obama suddenly was no more then a black candidate who was no good. Our hopes and dreams were made fun of in front of millions. Suddenly no one wanted to be labelled a cult member, stupid, and join the stupid dreamy eyed kids. Words were attacked as empty and the inspired called fools. No republican candidate would have had the audacity to attack and laugh at Senator obama's followers. She did. If we, the obama kool aid drinkers , have any self respect, we will actively campaign for Mccain against her. And as far as you are concerned, if you are an uneducated woman , postmenopausal, bitter, and blue collar who despices, educated people, because we do not support a liar, go to hell. if you on the other hand you are a neutral democrat, with no views then why am i wasting my time. posted 04/23/2008 at 03:30:50

To openly ask for white racist votes, the first black American president, has shown himself and his followers to be who they are. Selfish politicians who used Afrian A to win elections and treat them with absolut contempte when found them of no use. The party leadership refused to come and stop them. Anti-US cleric al-Sadr threatens new uprising in Iraq

Someone please correct any misunderstanding i might have:

SUMMARY OF SHIA POLITICS:

Two major school of thoughts: Khomeni ,who belived himself to be the 12th imam all the shia have been waiting for, belived in rule by the clerics in the style of government he created.

Al Sistani school: separation of government and religion.

This is the major political infighting amongst the Shite. khomeni school has a major following around the world, while the Sistani school is also increasingly supported, specially in Iran, where a growing majority of religious leaders see the fallacy of Khomeni style theocretic rule.

The current outbreak in violence is the result of the iraqi prime minister standing up against the khomeni group. The Sistani group might have realized that any hope of asserting control and establishing an alternate model of government in iraq will fade away fast with the departure of the American forces.

In summary, the current outbreak of violence represents a defining conflict between the iranian theocratic school vs the sistani secular school . posted 04/19/2008 at 20:52:41

So my question is this: How will we ever get along if we reject a person, who not only talks about getting along, but shows it. He by the very nature of his behaviour and philosophy, will have a lot of friends and acquantanices who he does not agree with, but can hand out with, for he can find something to like about them. He might even belive, he can change their mind.

This post presents an excellent opprtunity to discuss one of obama premise to bring America together. Let us argue openly if it is possible or not.

Obama believes as outlined in his book, Audacity of Hope, that one way to get along and find a common way forward , is to separate the person from his views.

So his way is like: You disagree with abortion, for you see the fetus as alive and his death as murder. I can see how you could beleive that, and I happen to disagree with you, but how about dinner together? It was great having dinner with you, you are a really nice person, decent, elegent, patriotic and i am glad that we agree on social implications of sending people for minor drug charges to jail as wrong headed. They should be in drug rehab, Please do not forget to read the book i leaft for you about the viablility of a featus, maybe we can agree on fetal viablility as the point beyond which no abortion should be allowed.

The current model of politics calls for the opposite approach. This approach is embodied by the Clintons and Newt. you hate abortion, I hate you. You think I will go to hell for believing in abortion, All that proves is that you are a right wing nut. Go sit in your church, you do not belong in this tent. I hate these republican religious bigots, passing judgement on everyone. posted 04/20/2008 at 00:40:26

Hillary Clinton Slams MoveOn With Karl Rove's Lies

Throughout these posts I keep finding one common theme. Obama is rated ultra liberal and cann ot win. Why do people think it as a 4 letter word after 8 years of conservative agenda has given us nothing but a corrupt government, corporate written legislation, religous fudamenalist represetatives, unwinnable war, a bankrupt government and increasingly homeless populance, unable to declare bancrupcy, forever in servitude, unaffordable college education, a retirement future that is bleak, runaway inflation and a disappearing middle class.

Explain to me, does not a populance that votes against slogans, deserve 8 more years of conservative government.

Or , I dare predict, the american public is wiseing up to the slogan game. In fact in the mold of Reagan, obama is sure to make the word liberal taken of the 4 letter list. posted 04/19/2008 at 00:34:24

You are right. Your response is expected. No man who votes republican, because they stroked his religious and gun fervor will ever admit his own foolishness. You think that if a politician in pakistan says " The religous leaders are making a fool of these young men who blow themselves up, by promising them eternal BJs in heaven", that they will suddenly say: OMG what a fool I am, I will never be fooled now, thankyou for showing me the truth. That politicians will not win their votes, but the one who stands up next day and says " How dare he make fun of our brave boys, who sacrifice their lives for their cause " will win.

Politicians have made fools of people since the beginning of time by manipulating their religious believes. The white blue collars workers are not the first. DO not sweat it. posted 04/15/2008 at 21:47:48
This is the response any person who has been fooled for decades, will come up with. Obama was not schooling you. Even Bill Clinton knew this long time ago. ( trends are always discussed in general terms, by the way, eg a statement like " the muslims in saudi Arabia are conservatives, who do not want their women to be driving cars " . The difference between Obama and Clintons is that he tries to tell it like it is, while they recognize the trend, and capitalize on it. She is smart , she knows people will not admit being fooled by republicans for years, so she is coming out and saying what she is. She is not stupid, her husband knew this 20 years ago, she knew it 20 years ago. But they both know , play the Gun and religion card right, specially in an economically run down state, and go get the presidency. They understand that this is a race, people will vote based on what Obama is pointing out. The Clinton's have wisened up, Obama is learning the hard way. In his next run, he will shoot a gun, have some whiskey, and then maybe he will get a few Reagan democrat vote. This issue also gives cover to the bitter racist pensylvanians their governor has been talking about. They can now say, I voted against him because he made fun of my religosity and hunting expeditions, not because he is black. End of story. posted 04/15/2008 at 21:25:17
What Obama said , is true. And guess what , She gets it . Why do they give in to false republican propaganda about Democrats being Godless, who will take their guns away . Hillary knows this. Mr. Penn must have focus groups showing that this will win her Pennsylvania. Just like atttacking him as nothing but words won her Ohio. She had experience to counter his empty words. This time he is painted as an out of touch elitist, making fun of their Guns and religion, the intellectual basis of their voting for the republicans for decades. ( Remember the Regan democrats. ) In fact how many people in this world have the capacity to admit their own mistakes, specially if they have been made fools of. She gives them a way out. They can now believe they truly loved their guns more then their economic futures.. She is going with it and will win with a wider margin as many a voters will walk into the voting booth and punish him.

In fact if their is a single person out there , reading this post of mine, who calls himself conservative ( which most Americans do by the way ) , who realizes the truth of Obama statement, get up and admit it by a post in response to mine. Does bombing Iran, not put our forces in iraq in extreme danger, in view of the fact that civilian deaths in Iran would inflame hatred in the shia majority though endearing us to the current sunni foes that we removed from the government?
Will we then not have to wipe out the Shiite majority to reinstall Sunni government back in power?
Is there any department of postwar planning operating and looking at the disasterous consequences of a geogrphic confluency for Alquidafrom Pakistan to Iraq. Why Progressives Should Support the Draft and Why Aren't People Protesting McCain's Lack of Patriotism?

I propose that we need to fight our wars with Immigrant labour. Come fight for us and be a citizen. It should continue to be a vehicle for the poor and the middle class for upward mobility. In the tradition of Rome, at the current stage in our evolution as a society, to ask the upper middle class, and the rich to send their kids to fight and die or develop PTSD is insane. This is a duty delegated to the offsrings of people whose family in all likelyhood skipped paying their dues in the past.

What we do need is also prepare a generation of philosophers, intellectuals and well rounded leaders, in the mold of Thomas Jefferson, John Adam and Benjamin Franklin. We need to create a free press like the BBC in Britain and train Journalists, who report, question and engage, and avoid sesationalization the politics of race and refuse to perpetuate divisions for the sake of ratings, at the cost of integrity.

Some might argue that Military leadership training is essential to creation of leadership in the mold of Eisenhover. There might be truth to it , but in that case, isn,t it better if such leadership emerges from the classes represented in the army to begin with? posted 04/10/2008 at 02:35:05

Does Obama Transcend Race?

Part 1

Everytime the discussion of race and gender stops, I fail to see the three candidates as White man, woman and black man. I just begin to see them for who they are. Three candidates, who are trying to be president, presenting their case before me, why do they deserve my vote? I have asked a lot of friends, black and white, they all feel the same.

I think it is the politicians and the media who bring up race in a way as to inject it into the minds of the public. Left alone, all the candidates, would have been judged by their merit, and not their race or gender. HRC is the only candidate that I recall during a debate asking for votes of women voters. Her husband appeared to me in this campaign, to have wanted us to become aware that Obama is black so the whites would somehow find it difficult to vote for him. But above all, I find that it is the likes of Wolf Spitzer, who have done more to inject race into the public's minds. The repeated question they ask is, Does race matter? Will it drown Obama? Can he rise above race ? So on and on and on they go.

If no one was to question, ask, raise, discuss, race from here till the election, most voters would vote without racial or gender prejudice. posted 04/09/2008 at 22:10:46

Part 2
Unfortunately, there is too much money to be made by instigating racial hatred by the media. For ruling elite, the office of the presidency and its power is too important , not to inject racial hatred or any other means to retain it. There is also too much money at stake in every divorce white and black, for gender to be left alone.
.

Both race, to instigate hate, and gender to rally support will remain inalienable and essential tools and components in this race for the white house. And in the end they might prove to be essential ingrediants and tools as envisioned by the likes of Bill Clinton ( a political genius ), and implemented by their lackeys ( the so called independent Journalists of the free world like Wolf ) that will win the all important post with the ability to order 3 am strikes against any in the world, 3 am FBI raids into political enemy homes, 3 am fundraising phone calls, and last but not the least, the speaking fees that come with the title President after leaving office. posted 04/09/2008 at 22:08:13

Petraeus Shifts Sharply On Basra, Aligns With White House Spin

To the best of my understanding, the jews , Early Christians ( till the roman empror insisted on Romanizing christianity ( and Jesus became divine, in the likeness of Zeus ( now do you know who I am ? ) , and Muslims belive him to be a prophet. The muslims ( sunnis ) also believe, that he was raised before he died and is the only living prophet. They belive, he is the saviour who will come down to earth and save humanity. ( The shia's are waiting for their no 12 Imam, who by the way , Khomeni , it is said, believed he was, ) and the Jews are waitng for their last messiah ( which Muhammad claimed to be, and jews refused to recognize him as the one ) . All of this sounds pretty interrelated to me. The origin in Israel, Abraham the father, and the two sons of Abraham, one fathering the Jews and the other Arabs. Both muslims and jews still sacrifice the penile foreskin , while Christians do it to be hygienic. The Christians and muslims fight over the Divinity of Christ, a saviour to both.
A prophet and messenger ,spreading the gospel ,who according to muslims, got crucified after he was raised, for God loved him so much, he could not bear for him to suffer anymore and raised him while still alive, and Divine to the Christians, God and Son. posted 04/10/2008 at 01:52:32

Chelsea Clinton Asked About Monica Lewinsky Yet Again

Shep1900 writes

I can't, either, man. Health-care costs have driven me into near bankruptcy. Which is why I genuinely don't care what tactics Senator Clinton uses, because I think she is the only one among the three candidates who is tough enough, mean enough, and wily enough to be able to force real changes through Congress. We need a pit-bull in the White House next term, in my opinion, and she certainly fits the bill. I don't need to _like_ her; I just want her to be determined and stubborn.

I have thought thru this reasoning. If Senator Obama had not appeared on the sean< I would have agreed with you. But Obama makes it possible to bypass the congress and go directly to the people. He will also get veto proof majority elected to senate in his cotail. Think Reagan. The only current leader that I can think of who is like Obama. He got tax cut passed in a democratic congress, for he had the public palpably behing him. Senator Clinton's politics is so divisive, that this kind of momumental change that you want will be impossible to achieve. Obama brings out the best in people, while HRC, the worst. Paradigm change is possible with inspiration and concensus, and not with meanness and an appeal to the lowest common denominator. posted 04/10/2008 at 01:17:06

I have a problem with the perjury argument in the context of infidelity. A very conservative court in Italy, a roman Catholic Country mind you , has recently issued an opinion, regarding this issue. In their opinion, the perjury accusation in the cases of marital infidelity is not valid, because an admission to the fact results in great disruption in the life of a family, with potential for breakup, harm to children of the family, and stimatization by family and society. To prevent the disintegration of family and social humiliation , it leaves no choice for the accused but to lie. A crime that should not be tried as perjury.

I have paraphrased, you can do your research. But I tend to agree with the High court of italy.

Every time the prosecutor brings a case based on perjury but not about the crime committed, it should all give us pause , to sit and think about the human emotions of guilt, shame, humiliation, that might have been involved in the lie to the police or prosecutor.

Do we truly believe that it is all about the law? In that case Obamas Dad and Mom should have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law when they commited a felony by their interracial marriage, according to laws of more then half of the states at the time. posted 04/09/2008 at 23:46:30
It is interesting, funny and coincidental that you have talked about respect for each other. I have observed that this happens to me too ( Obama supporter ). But unfortunately, when the last few days before an important primary for the Clinton's arrives, and the kitchen sink is thrown at him, an incredible sense of injustice, and betrayal makes me cringe, and reminds me of the reasons why I have slowly developed a disliking of the Clintons. This interestingly enough, is a feeling I find difficult to find, when I listen to HRC speak. I find her very likable and trustworthy. This dichotomy , the impression that she wants to win ( may be that is what politics requires in these days , but Obama proves me wrong and i think no it is not required ) , and the dirty politics turns me off. At such times when the Hillary supporters fail to see the reason for our anger, I feel like voting for her to punish them.( Her policies wil be financilly more beneficial for the Star Bucks class, and his for the Blue collar, less then 50000 crowd ). But then time passes and I see that we the Obama supporters begin to forget the kitchen sink lies that made us hate her candidacy to begin with. posted 04/09/2008 at 23:24:00

If that is true and all your functionality has not returned, please read the book, The mind and the brain by Dr. Shwartz. It is the incredible story of discovery and realization that neurons can regrow and full functionality can be returned even to a massively injured brain. Unfortunately, when you are finished reading it, you will find that your insurance company or medicare will not pay for the treatment, ( it is labour intensive and hence expensive ) because they call it experimental. To the best of my understanding, you can get the treatment at UAB, for there are enough trained people there to deliver it. You would have to raise the money. I think since you are an obama supporter, once you have all the details worked out, we can get together and raise enough money online to pay for your treatment. So doctor, get to work, order the book, read it, ready to be startled at all the advances that have been made, feel angry at the system designed to not provide the care that could get you back to prestroke days, but instead give the CEO of united health care 1.6 billion dollar in compensation, but then be optimistic about the future, where we will spend 500 billion dollars a year on schools and research ( instead of war and destruction ), to enable unimaginable feats. posted 04/09/2008 at 23:05:33

Hooked on Hillary

If you are a democrat , you should be proud of Obama, he is bigger then life, a kennedy, a Regan, FDR, a once in a life time leader. Clinton , just petty. I do not think she started that way, but unfortunately, her whole life has been about fighting the republican hate mongers, starting in Arkansa. She had to become secretive, ( could be a result of her methodist , eastern upbringing ) , and learn to fight back hard. She also is an astute student of politics. Attack is abetter defence. Change the conversation, the topic, and define your enemy. Unfortunately , Obama is bigger then life and a once in a life time leader, and nothing sticks. Also she is who she has become and not who she ought to be, so too bad. She also is postmenopausal, and hence we have to give her a little leevay for being hateful, and condescending. That is just a lack of estrogen. But then again she is who she is, and Obama is once in a generation leader posted 03/30/2008 at 23:40:57
Here is why Hillary supporters should vote for Obama but Obama supporters should never do the same.

THe point is this. Any Obama supporter who votes for Hillary Clinton should be in her camp to begin with. To support a candidate who is clean , honorable and truthful, and then vote for a racial divider, dirty politician, a liar, a believer in abuse of government power, user of IRS and FBI to intimidate political and innocent foes , manipulator, knee capper, media harraser by MOB tactics, and party destroyer, who herslf says that McCain is like her or even better. A vote for her is a betrayal of the very priciple of obama support.

Hillary supporter on the other hand who refuse to support Obama are just sore loosers. He is honest, presidential, a uniter, above dirty politics, an intellectual, an organizer of a phenomenol campaign apparatus, inspirational. money savy, a world leader, truth teller, initiator of a new kind of politics, thoughful, negotiator, calm, constitutional law professor, Harvrd law review editor, who has refusd to play dirty with the Clintons, giving her supporters no excuse not to support him. posted 03/30/2008 at 23:33:38

One reason to support senator Obama is to see America's stature rise in the world. To see us lead , as a peace loving nation, even handed , but firm. With Russia beginning to take a stand , and promising to stand firm againt American dictatorial approach to the world, we cannot afford for the middle east to again fall back into soviet and American blocks. That would be the beginning of a second cold war.

Senator Obama not only offers the best hope for bringing Americans ( republican parents and democratic children ) back to the dinner table after a long separation. He also is the best hope for a renewed dialogue for world piece, which has to start in the middle east. The appearance of israeli favouritism will have to be tempered down to bring all the parties together.

As supporters of Senator Obama, we look forward to see him sitting with our so called foes like the Europeans, Iranians, Cubans. We would also like to see, a strong attempt to bring together different factions in the middle east.

With the muslim population's support for suicide bombing dropping, their understanding of separated sunni, shia and kurd neighborhoods , and the shia resistance to letting the sunnis coming back to their homes in Baghdad, the chance for getting thru to Hammas, Shia backed , Iranian backed, are brighter by the day, with the Palestinians dropping the demand of right to return posted 03/29/2008 at 02:38:11

To misrepresent the situation and Chris mathews as harsh is malicious. What do you expect? Any one walk onto a TV show, and start spreading Right Winged rumors, describing the source as Blagosphere. Here is a link to a jewish Blog, showing Senator Obama's support for Israel.

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/rosnerBlog.jhtml?itemNo=832667&contrassID=25&subContrassID=0&sbSubContrassID=1&listSrc=Y&art=1

Chris Mathews knows that even a false rumor of Anti Israel sentiment is a kiss of death . He in fact should have taken a harder view . He should have pointed out to the guest that HARD BALL IS NOT TO BE THE RUMOR DISSEMINATOR OF RIGHT WING LIES.

I would like to know how would you feel if the same guest reports a rumor that Rachel Sklar and Danny Shea are antisemetic . source Blagospere. A question as to the source would be highly appropriate, what do you think ? posted 03/29/2008 at 01:45:20

Hillary And Bill: We Aren't Going Anywhere

But then again she is who she is, and Obama is once in a generation leader. posted 03/28/2008 at 19:27:46

State Department to Israel: "An American Citizen Is an American Citizen"

Part 1

I support Israel. In fact I feel , we are blessed in America to have so many jewish people. I also believe that till the day the Arabs understand that the diligent, intelligent, artistic, philosophical contributions of the Jews are indispensible in the persuit of cultural, scientific and political advancement. Till Jews are accepted , recognised , and integrated for the value they can bring to the Arab world, there will never achieve their potenential.

That said, I take issue with your line of reasoning. Here is what you said and I quote " the palestinians have brought most, (not all), of the suffering they endure on themselves. it is hard to feel sympathetic for people who kill innocent men, women and children as a matter of course. who use terror as part of their strategy to achieve their objectives. "

How many people from palestine are suicide bombers?
How many common palestinians, with no political power, no say in politics, are responsible for killing innocent people. posted 03/31/2008 at 02:09:22
Part 2

In fact in a dialogue with Socrates, you would end up arguing against the people of Israel, for their government has used bombers, trained army, modern weaponary against defenseless civilians. In fact I consider your rhetoric no different then the concorted reasoning of the killers of 911, who killed innocent Americans, and blamed them for it. These innocent Americans were blamed for the actions of their leaders. Do you truly believe that all Americans are indecent or any and all American soldiers deserve to be beheaded because of the actions of the masterminds of ABUGHRAB atrocities.

In fact , it was a similar line of reasoning that the catholic church, the germans and the europeans thru the mellineum used to justfy for killing jews. The jews have brought this on themselves they said, by practicing Predatory lending , to use a modern phrase.

Your line of thinking is so flawed, that in any civilised society, it would equate to racism, antsemitism, antiarabism or a synonym equally powerful.

If everyone in the world thought like you, eg, All serbians would be justifiably slaughtered for the crimes commited by Misolovitch. Or all Germans should still live in a Ghetto like the Gasa strip, still paying for the crimes of Hitler against humanity.

Need I go on ? And by the way, should we completely ignore the Iranian government, for candle light vigils held there in memory and honor of september 11's innocent victims. posted 03/31/2008 at 02:08:37
Part 3

Or should we hate French fries forever , their government never supported the glorious invasion of Iraq.

Or everytime you leave America, you should be humiliated for Invasion of Iraq, like some I know, in friendly countries, for being Americans.

Here is your full essay: """ the palestinians have brought most, (not all), of the suffering they endure on themselves. it is hard to feel sympathetic for people who kill innocent men, women and children as a matter of course. who use terror as part of their strategy to achieve their objectives. who "elect" terrorist like mr. arafat as their leaders. who are constantly threatening israel's existence. who place such a low value on human life. who dance in the street when 3000 americans are killed on 9/11. who refuse to accept deals that would have given them almost everything they wanted. whose leaders enrich themselves from charitable aid meant for their people. who many think already have a country in jordan. who side with our enemies every chance they get. need i go on?""""" posted 03/31/2008 at 02:07:50

Is Wright Right About Racism?

jade7243.

My question is political : If Hillary is the nominee , why should the black voters not support the republican candidiate ? Benifits of a party switch are numerous and might abolish the racial political atmosphere.
1. The democrats would no longer own AA voters. Their tolerance of racists in their upperranks would drop.
2. Political parties are not static. The realignment to the current status took place with the passage of the civil rights bill , when the AA voters started their support of the democratic party en mass, while the conservative, racial element of the white voters started their support of the republican party.

4. The religious vote and the economic conservative vote is up for grabs while economy downturns.
5. With base voters' loyalty in question, if the republicans suddenly win the black vote, they would abandon the racial politics in a hurry , distacing themselves further from the southern conservative religious zealots, and ebracing the black community.

6. If the democratic establishment did not take the AA vote for granted , the Clinton's would already be out of the game, with their blatant use of the race card.

Your responsr talks about the pre AA republican era. Meaning when AA voters do not vote Republicans and their other constituents are solidly behind them.
Antiblack behavior gets them elected. If the tables were to turn, and the African American vote bacame the way to victory, political ideological shift would follow in a hurry.

I agree. posted 03/29/2008 at 03:28:27
To the black readers of this posts I ask ? After the exposed racism of the Democratic establishment , why not look at the republicans, or are there degrees of racisms ? One huge block vote for the republicans and the democrats will beg thy forgiveness , crying, moaning, and the Clintons will be tolerated no more. The republicans might start fighting for the African American citizens, and the republican party might move back to its roots as the party of Lincoln. They might not need the right wing hate monger votes anymore. Any takers for a healthy discussion on this topic ? Please do not call me names. Just raising a legitimate political question . After all , the democratic party is the party with a racial past and the Clintons have successfully brought out the racist nature of the blue collar white northeners. In fact , the south seems to have integrated the black community more so then the north where black ghettos are the norm. posted 03/28/2008 at 22:55:31
So do you think, the above experience can generate a mistrust of government and a little frustration with the wife of the first black American president , HRC ? A little paranoid view of America? A little skepticism of whites, specially when the likes of Ferraro talk about racism against whites ? posted 03/28/2008 at 22:42:14
