I live in the So. Cal. desert, one of the last bastions of true conservatism, with my wife, two dogs and an annoying cat. I have dabbled in Christianity, but I look at the harm that cult has caused around the world and I can't, in good conscience, associate with that club. I am a news junky. I feel that the only way we can hope to be safe and maintain a free and democratic society is to maintain a well educated and informed citizenry. Unfortunately, education is not a priority for our government any longer. It's much more lucrative (for the rich) to focus on prisons. The less educated the populace, the more prisoners and more money for wallets that are already full to bursting. I sincerely hate Bush/Cheney and wish they would both have bags placed over their heads, be sent to an "undisclosed location" in one of our allies countries and be tortured to death. not if) found guilty, join Saddam at the gallows. I believe this is not the same country we are taught in elementary school. However, I also have hope. The people will always have the power, if they have the will.
