Way to go Iowa, Vermont, and D.C.!
I am hoping that the Republicans try and fight D.C. city council's decision to recognize gay marriages from any state in our country. I am hoping that this opens a discussion about gay marriage, DOMA, and DADT on the floor of the House and Senate THIS YEAR.

Word to Obama:
I didn't survive it well, and am still suffering from the aftermath of hate and ignorance that was encouraged through BUSH propaganda.
I am still waiting for Obama to shine his light my way. After years of harassment, let my (gay) people join in the dream too.
-Repeal D.O.M.A.
-Come out for the repeal of Prop 8.
-Make it legal for gays to serve in military and end prosecutions, dismissal, and harassment of gay soldiers.
-Make hate crime prevention a priority. A hate crime occurs against a gay person every 6 hours in the U.S.
-Start counseling and sensitivity training for schools and students because gay teens are 6 times more likely to commit suicide.
-Add Transgendered(Fact note: Remember scientifically ALL males are transgendered, we all start out female in the womb) and Intersexed to the hate crimes bill. 1 in 100 people are intersexed (not 100% male or female). They should have protection.
-Add a gay person to your cabinet. New Cabinet position for GLBT and HIV issues.
