I grew up in Canton, Michigan. I'm the daughter of an elementary school teacher and a truckdriver. I wear my middle-class roots with pride. I consider myself a liberal, but not a democrat. Given that I'm likely to never see liberal ideas in the Republican party, however, you'll never see me voting for a republican. I myself am a receptionist/accounts payable clerk at a small manufacturing business in Westland.
My most important issues are currently the economy and our foreign policy, or rather our dire need to change our foreign and economic policies. When our country isn't in political turmoil, you can usually count on the environment, human rights, religious freedom (and the separation of religion from state), and better education being my primary concerns.
I am not close-minded in my views. I encourage you to debate with me, but keep the nastiness out of it if you want a response from me. We should all be able to hear each other's points of view without slinging mud.
