John Edwards Endorses Obama... GOP Prospects "Worst Since Watergate"

I'd give my left nut to get these two on the ticket together, but my gut tells me that the dems wouldn't want Edwards on the ticket again. Who knows though... They sure do have a special chemistry together though don't you guys think? posted 05/15/2008 at 01:58:02

The reality of this election speaks for itself. A year ago Obama was unknown. Now he has more states, votes, delegates, sprdelegates, and supporters. He did all this on his own, based on his own actions or inactions. More people have come forward to donate money to his campaign (nearly 2 million people strong) and if you don't think that says something about the man, then I guess we don't think alike.
Hillary is by all means a good person. I think that with all that we know about her history, we can say with little doubt that she is. However, why so many people are so eager to jump in her boat is beyond me. She has defined herself as the status quo this campaign and it almost makes me sad. But the real irony of this election is that Obama supporters, as obnoxious as you and others may find some of them, seem to be of more sound mind. When hearing that Hillary's supporters aren't even willing to vote for the other candidate whom is nearly identical on the issues I couldn't help but think I've made the right choice in Obama. Selfishness attracts selfishness. Status quo attracts status quo and most supporters of Obama, right or wrong in the end, are no longer willing to entertain the politics of yesterday. posted 05/15/2008 at 01:49:39

Obama-Webb 2008

Nice idea Mr. Palermo but I'm afraid that combination would open up a whole can of worms for the republicans to throw at the Democrats. Take a closer look at Webb's history and you'll see he wrote some pretty crazy stuff in books that the Republicans could really rally around. Also worthy of attention would be his article on women in the Navy. "Five women graduates of the United States Naval Academy held a press conference, decrying a 1979 article by Webb, titled "Women Can't Fight". The women said Webb's article contributed to an atmosphere of hostility and harassment towards women at the academy." Don't get me wrong, I think he is a pretty good guy and I appreciate his service, but the GOP would have a field day with this guy. Just take a closer look at his past with his books and articles and you'll see what I mean.

CNN Gets Graphic In Myanmar With Footage Of Dead Bodies (GRAPHIC)

Yeah, interesting video, now show some video about what Americans really care about, Cheap Gas!

Real media doesn't exist. Because to be real, you have to show what you know and you don't see a single dead body on cnn when they're reporting on Iraq. That's how the number one concern of Americans today is not how many more children's bodies are found bloodied in the streets of Baghdad, but when the cost of gas is going to drop so they can continue to drive their fuck you mobiles through the streets of W. Virginia!

American media, what a joke. Just as filtered as the media in communist states we love to hate. posted 05/13/2008 at 07:16:37

Claire McCaskill would secure a win for him. She's a class act and extremely likable woman with great experience not so different than Obama's. She's perfect as far as I can tell. ...unless you're referring to Edwards Deming. He hardly could be considered a "hero" and his contributions to Japanese manufacturing lie purely in the steel industry. The fact of matter is, Japan makes quality goods and have always taken a great deal of pride in the goods they produce dating back to the days of the samurai sword. Trust me when I say a single American did not change an entire nations way of manufacturing.
China's real problem is much more complicated than most Americans are willing to give their attention to. When you consider a nation that's been taken advantage of by the United States for as long as they have, the last thing on most of their manufacturers minds is quality control. Do people really expect some 17 year old girl getting paid 2 dollars a day gives a rats ass about possible lead in some kids GI Joe? Give me a break. Most Chinese working in the industrial sector are worried about putting food on the table to make it to next week, much less the quality of the goods they are making at some factory owned by some rich prick overseas.
I gotta say, the more I travel, the more I realize that the largest percent of all America's problems, start right in America. Agreed. I think this story is a good one. It really highlights how humans can change, and shouldn't be judged by those whom find them not up to speed. I strongly disagreed with her mothers charge that she couldn't cross the line of inter-racial marriage, but if I really think about it hey, that's better than what her father had taught her. If we think along the lines Barack mentioned in his race speech, then it's important to keep in mind that movement and change is happening no matter how incremental, and that we must focus on that rather than the change that's not happening or perhaps the frustration of some that it's not happening fast enough. posted 04/17/2008 at 01:11:39

For example, Fox News regularly shows Hillary as having a substantially larger percentage than the other polls on a regular basis. Americans don't read anymore. So much information is available on all the candidates if one's willing to do a little reading. Obama: Put Olympics Opening Ceremony Boycott On The Table

This is kind of stupid if you ask me. Bush boycott the Olympic games? To show what exactly? That he's against human rights abuses? Ha! What a joke. If America wants to make a statement, the athletes must boycott. But hey, to them, the Olympics is all about sports and nothing else. To them attending the games has nothing to do with the host country and what they do outside the Olympic confines. But for Bush to boycott something to show America's position is senseless. As far as I'm concerned, Bush no longer represents America and never did represent the America I believe in. Why Women Like Me Support Hillary (One Story from the "High-Heeled Militia")

I almost don't know where to start with this response. I know autism is a vital modern health issue and I'm fully aware of the consequences if we are to leave the issue off the table. But this story sounds more like a case of being star struck than anything else. Mrs/Ms Nelson, I'm assuming you wrote this article in an attempt to get people on board the Hillary bus. Perhaps you wrote it to make us all calm down about what kind of person Hillary is. Or, perhaps you just wanted to tell us, as stated in the title, why you will vote for her. Nevertheless, I fail to see how your single experience of getting a response from her would influence anyone else to vote for her. I'm an avid Obama supporter, and if he is to lose in the primaries, I will become an avid Hillary supporter, but I don't think your experience with Hillary is enough to change my or anyone else's mind. And this may be a bit over the top, but if your main concern is the health and well being of children, just think of the thousands of Iraq children whom have lost their lives and limbs as a result of Hillary wanting to go with the mainstream opinion on the war in Iraq. In the end, it's those kind of judgments that will have the most profound effect on the health of children and people of all ages. posted 04/01/2008 at 03:36:38

Lou Dobbs Says Anti-Clinton Media Bias "Worsening"

Is it a "bias" when the facts are simply stated? Is it a "bias" report to say that Clinton has no mathematical chance of winning this election? Is it a "bias" opinion to say that she "mis-spoke" about a past event? Is it "bias" to show clips of her saying "Shame on you Barack Obama!", only to contrast those clips with video of Obama saying things like, "Senator Clinton is running a great campaign"? These are not biases, but rather the facts. I just think that the facts are easier for some to swallow than others. The fact of the matter is, when the surrogates aren't speaking, the media turns it's attention to the actual candidates and this ends up revealing quite a contrast between the two and whether or not this makes Hillary look good or bad is up to her. posted 03/31/2008 at 22:54:55

Hillary's Bosnia Boast -- Not a Big Deal

Mr. Eisele

With all due respect, the reason it IS such a big deal to so many, is the fact that Hillary's based her entire campaign on the theme that she has the experience that Barack does not. When you base an argument on some premise that is found to be a lie, the opposing party will always find it to be a "Big Deal". It's not so much that she warped the truth beyond recognition as it is the fact that she's been using this warped truth as the backbone of her candidacy. There are times when I would agree that lying, bending the truth, or "mis-speaking" may indeed not be a big deal. But when you are doing it to the premise that your campaign is built upon or doing it to say a huge issue that the American people are manically concerned about like the difference between terrorists and Alkaida training in Iran, it tends to turn some heads. posted 03/28/2008 at 02:02:13

Hillary's Diversionary Tactic Is Feeding The GOP Noise Machine

One related point I can also see as a possible problem for the Dems is that once Barack is the Democratic nominee, Hillary will have bashed him for so long, that it will be very difficult for her to come back and support him. This wouldn't be quite the problem if the opposite were to happen. Barack could more easily support a Hillary as he could site the many times where he said publicly that he thought "she would be a fine leader" and "I have no doubt that Hillary would be a monumental improvement over the current administration". Unfortunately you don't hear these kind of words coming out of her mouth, which leaves her with very little wiggle room if Barack is the nominee. This year, I'm going to vote for the candidate whom represents the party and not just him/herself. I just wish Hillary would wake up and realize there is a chance she will lose. Currently I think it's somewhere around 85% chance she will lose. posted 03/26/2008 at 00:06:08

Please make a clear case on how Obama's campaign has prohibited Michigan and Florida to engage in a re-vote. I simply don't see it. This idea that Obama has somehow prohibited it from happening is simply absolute nonsense. He has said on a number of occasions, that if they found a way to have another election, that was fair to both sides he'd be all for it. They (state officials and the democratic party) never came to any agreement on a re-vote situation that satisfied the two parties, hence, Obama's campaign was never even asked whether or not he would be willing to abide by any new set of rules. Give me one grain of evidence that Obama's campaign has held these elections back. This insinuation is absolute non-truth perpetuated by the Hillary campaign to try and woo voters to the other side.
