Worked as a broadcast journalist from 1968 through 1980. Served as a Vietnam war correspondent 1968-69, gaining invaluable experience while covering a number of combat operations with American forces in Southeast Asia.
Managed news departments and hosted radio and television news programs, talk shows and award winning documentaries in medium and major markets across the United States.
A freelance writer since 1980, David has written, produced, narrated and on-camera hosted hundreds of video and film scripts for diverse companies, non-profit organizations and individuals. His daughter and son-in-law work for two different Portland non-profit organizations.
In 1993, David founded Personal Saga, a personal, family and business biography writing and publication service. His writings include 10 privately published biographies and as-told-to autobiographies. He has developed a singular skill in building bonds of trust with his biographical subjects, and is an accomplished interviewer and project manager.
David lives with his wife, daughter, son-in-law and two Persian cats.
