I've always considered myself to be middle of the road. I was born and raised into a military family and have lived among many races and cultures. Never in my life have I experienced anything such as the hate thrown at President Obama. As an adult, I had views I both agreed and disagreed with from both parties and have voted for both in the past.
I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but after the past failed administration, along with the past year's childish, racial-based hatred and disrespect the Republican Party has shown against our new President, I am unable to forgive and forget. I will never vote for anyone affiliated with the GOP ever again. This is one Independent forever turned and proud to be called a liberal.
