Florida, Michigan cannot save Clinton

Um. what I call losing is having ONE less than the winner.

That's losing. It's not having as much as the winner.

You see, to win, you need MORE. To lose you need LESS than what the WINNER has.

It's like if I had 10 apples and you had 9 apples and we entered a "Who has the most apples" contest. Under this logic of WINNERS and LOSERS, I would be the winner, since I have ONE more apple than you do - since the contest is about who has the MOST apples.

Now, if the contest was held on OPPOSITE DAY, you would be the winner, since having the LEAST AMOUNT of apples between the two of us would qualify you as the WINNER of the "Most Apples Contest Held On Opposite Day."

But it's not - it's about who has the most apples. Or in this case delegates. Or states, Or popular votes. Or any other metric you want.

Exit Polls: Obama Loses To Clinton Among 'Bitter' Low-Income Voters

In every contest Obama has lost, he was MUCH closer in exit polls than he was in actual voting.

Early on, people (the MSM) made up excuses on why the POLLING was so incorrect - do we remember all this?

After all the excuses go away, after the dust has settled, I believe some people - liberal democrats - are lying when they say they will vote for Barack Obama.

The only reason Clinton is still in the race can be explained by the comment she allegedly made to Bill Richardson - "He CAN'T win, Bill".

Hillary believes in her heart that America - her baby-boomer America - will not vote for a man of color for President. She is waiting for the doubt to "creep" into the hearts of Obama-supporters.

And I fear that the MSM believes it as well - as they have kept Hillary "alive" for longer than she would have been had Hillary been running against "Barry Olsen" as opposed to Barack Obama. posted 04/23/2008 at 00:11:01

ABC Hosts Heckled After Debate: "The Crowd Is Turning On Me"

Tavis Smiley Reportedly Quits Radio Show Over Obama Hate

Please enlighten us. Since you arrive on HuffPO last month, almost every one of your posts has been anti-Obama. I would suppose you hang out with like-minded people (as do I an almost everyone else) so I would assume your circle of friends are anti-Obama.

Where, praytell, have you heard anyone called a "race traitor" for supporting Hillary Clinton - have you or any of your friends been called one?

And if so, by whom and when? And where?

You see, I find it quite difficult to believe your statement primarily because it is an anonymous blog post and doesn't meet even the most cursory evidentiary standard. You provide no names, no places - nothing but the statement "i have seen or heard".

By the way, which is it? Have you "seen" or have you "heard". One is done with the ears, the other with the eyes. And if you've "seen" someone called a "race traitor" was it because the person opened their mouth and a little word balloon (like the kind in the funny pages) popped out and have the phrase "race traitor" on it? posted 04/12/2008 at 20:22:23

Obama: No Surprise That Hard-Pressed Pennsylvanians Turn Bitter

I think the third sentence in your post actually proves that the first half of the second sentence is true - at least concerning you.

I really disgusted with the Hillary Campaign and her supporters here on HuffPO. Every Democrat who has ever read "What's the Matter with Kansas?" understands Obama's argument.

The fact that Democrats (or people who should be democrats) vote for corporate-backed candiates, against their own self-interest, clinging to alot of hooey about the Ten Commandments in Schools, Anti-Flag Burning Ammendments, Denying Gays the Right to Wed, and the Right to Bear semi-automatic Weapons, and Building Walls on Borders - you know all the IMPORTANT STUFF - while these corporate-backed candiates make sure the world is safe for profit at the expense of the little guy.

I don't remember ONE SINGLE DEMOCRAT coming out against Thomas Frank's book when it was published. NOT ONE SINGLE PROGRESSIVE LIBERAL DEMOCRAT was anywhere NEAR being against Frank's argument. I listened to Air America, I read DailyKos, I remember seeing Frank on the Daily Show - where the hell were all of you people then?

Where was the outcry from the left when Thomas Frank published his book?

But NOW - Obama is an "elitist" for saying the same thing?

I know it's not going to happen - but I wish every democrat who's bashing Obama now about his statement would take a good hard look at themselves in the mirror and ask why they are bashing him - is it becuase they DON'T believe what he has said is true, or is it someting else?

My money is on the latter. posted 04/12/2008 at 19:49:29

Jon Stewart Awards Obama "Dick Move of the Week"

A Republican giving advice to Democrats. Thanks - I'll file your pro-Hillary post under "doth protest TOO much."

note to self - taking anything a Republican says about Democratic politics at "face value" is a little like asking the Wolf how best to protect the chicken coop. posted 04/10/2008 at 11:32:44
Everyone who posted here complaining about this funny segment or about The Daily Show and Jon Stewart being "in the tank" for Hillary, please take the time to do the following:

1. Step away from the blog
2. Step away from CNN/MSNBC/FOX
3. Step away from the campaign
4. Turn off all electrical appliances that emit any type of radio signal or connect to any type of communication network
5. Pet a Puppy
6. Take a walk
7. Have a cookie

Seriously, if you are an Obama supported and took any type of offense at this bit, you are taking this all a bit too seriously. Being a "bit of a dick" is a necesary trait to posess if you're running for national office. JFK was one - so was FDR - even Lincoln acted like a dick at times and did stuff like suspend habeas corpus.

I would argue all our best Presidents were a bit of a "dick". posted 04/10/2008 at 10:27:36

Who Can Beat McCain?

Alec - I take offense to the first line of your post. I would argue that most of the people here at HuffPo don't hate Hillary because she is a woman - they hate her for the same reason I do: she's a lying, comiving, duplicitous, do-anything-to-win, i-know-better-than-you-so-shut-up, it's-my-way-or-the-highway, if-I-cant-have-it-no-one-can, Mark Penn-hiring, sniper-fire-lying, i-fucked-up-a-great-chance-for-national-health-care-in-1993-and-I-wont-apologize-for-it, i-wont-quit-because-its-my-turn, i-am-only-a-nominee-because-of-my-husband-so-how-can-i-be-the-example-of-empowered-women-everywhere, maybe-if-i-keep-mentioning-Reverend Wright-people-will-listen, i-was-against-NAFTA-even-though-I-was-for-it-at-the-time person.

Hillary Says She 'Misspoke' About Wrestling Bin Laden

I know what a contraction is - and what is is not. Or isn't. Is it? Is not. Burma Shave.

Additionally, if you we're (oops, I mean WERE) to research my post history, you would see I am a virtual font of originality.

Lastly, regarding your "verbal vomit" comment - "Verbal" means to express in spoken rather than written words.

To "verbalize" something is to use one's mouth, lungs, throat and tounge to push air out of the human body in such a manner to make recognizable sounds that form the basis of communication between two or more people. These sounds can be linked together to form neat things, like Presidential Addresses, Church Semons and Oscar-caliber Dialogue from Porno Movies. So you should have updated your insult and called it "textual vomit".

Lastly (I know I said "lastly" in the last paragraph - but as you rightly point out in your comment, I'm lazy - much too lazy to click my mouse button or hit my backspace key - so I'm just gonna keep on typing) in regards to spelling - Mark Twain said the following: "I don't see any use in having a uniform and arbitrary way of spelling words." Now of course he said that when he was piss-drunk off his ass in a San Fran whore-house, but I believe in the spirit of the quotation rather the where it was said.

I'm just lazee that way. posted 03/26/2008 at 01:12:46
This is all BS: I'm sick of people taking Hillary to task for stupid things.

Let's look at the film of what Clinton actually said:

(film of Hillary driving a black Ferrari 365/GTB/4 Daytona Spyder at night on the main strip in Miami.....)

Well I remember,
I remember dont worry (worry worry worry)
How could I ever forget
its the first time,
the last time
we ever met (met met met met met met)

But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, (up up up up)
no you dont fool me
The hurt doesnt show;
but the pain still grows

Its no stranger to you or me

DOOSH DOOSH DOOOSH DOOOSH DO DO DO DO DOOO DOOOOOSH

(end of tape)

Well, looks ok to me. posted 03/25/2008 at 17:34:54
I had an important diplomatic mission in the 90s as well.

You see, the woman on the radio talked about revolution - when it already passed her by. And Bob Dylan didn't have this to sing about "you know it feels good to be alive"

Then I saw the decade in, when it seemed the world could change at the blink of an eye.
And if anything then there was your sign of the times

I was alive and I waited waited
I was alive and I waited for it, but
Right here, right now there is no other place I want to be
Right here, right now, casting my vote for Barack Obameeeeee! posted 03/25/2008 at 17:26:58
