I grew up on a farm in the mid-west and had basically nothing. I milked cows and plowed fields.
I went to a state university which was a first for my family. I worked weekends to pay my tuition. I had no debt upon graduation and have none today. Public education is important to me because I know without it I would be making minimum wage somewhere.
I have worked in R&D groups in various high tech companies since graduation. Success is a combination of determination, intelligence and a little luck. I am a fan of anyone who conquers adversity and believes in success and self reliance.
