Our first auction for drop in the bucket raised enough to buy water pump for school in uganda that now serves 1,200 kids with clean water!

The mission of designers4africa
is to make a positive impact by facilitating donations from
designers to charity auctions helping African countries.

We aim to achieve this by simply asking designers, businesses and authors to donate 4 items min. yearly to non profits that we will list here & as a group have big impact helping these non profits raise much needed funds!

As a group we can make a huge difference for non profits lThese organizations are both 501(c) registered non profits & will issue tax receipt for donations.

When we got started with Drop in the Bucket, none of us had any experience with charity work, but we knew that there was a desperate situation and somebody needed to do something. That same passion inspired April Davis to start Designers 4 Africa. There is obviously so much care, passion and love that went into getting this project off the ground and its starting to bear fruit. Please support Designers 4 Africa, we at Drop in the Bucket wholeheartedly do.

Last year April Star Davis succeeded in getting 5 additional jewelry designers
to donate jewelry for an auction benefitting The Galilee School in Kenya.
She then decided to do it every year with more organizations and more designers.

I am a small designer and have been donating jewelry to non profits for 10 years. Its an honor to be asked and it means so much to me because although I may not always have more money to donate I always have extra samples that I can donate to non profits for auction!

-April Star Davis, founder, Designers 4 Africa

D4A will list any designer, business, even authors. We currently have two inspirational authors on board: Judy A Bernstein They Poured Fire On

Us From The Sky (story of Lost Boys of Sudan)

Designers4Africa:

We are a group of designers, businesses and authors
that want to do more in the fight to end global poverty.
We aim to do this by donating( 4 items min. yearly )to non profits .
we will help non profits raise much needed funds...most of us here
are involved in charitable giving however we all know in our industry there are loads of samples & extras , this is a way to put them to the best use possible!

John Travis from Drop in the Bucket has refereed to it as artistic recycling!
