Obama In Kentucky And West Virginia: Why Will He Lose?

Maybe. But he was talking about states where he had campaigned and he said he had been to 57 of them and he still has one to go. There are more 57 contests in the Democratic primary/caucus process and he has not been to all of them. ( and by his statement still has two States to visit). If Clinton had said this she would be catching flack of a very serious nature.

p.s. I think it takes more than 1 question to constitute a tirade or make one a raving bigot. Take a look at the interview and let me know what you really think. posted 05/13/2008 at 13:01:12
Don't worry, Obama won't need W Va and KY. He has 57 states to work with. That's what he said (57 states.) Is the man stupid or on dope. There are 57 Islamic States in the UN. Maybe that is what he is talking about. posted 05/13/2008 at 11:19:49

Reading The Pictures: Preparing For The Second Coming (Of Obama-Mania)

Sure we will give it a break. For two months I've followed the HUFFPOST comments and heard nothing but distain for Clinton supporters; but we are on the same page now. I've yet to hear anything positive from you Obama people. I guess there is only one choice. Ralph Nader for president 2008. posted 05/10/2008 at 13:54:28

Exit Polls: Limbaugh Effect Seems To Rear Its Head

I really don't have a dog in this fight - BUT! No one has to declare who they vote for in the general election. For years the Democrat party in Alabama, Georgia and other deep south states have been able to convince the black population that they had to vote a straight party ticket; they even went into the booth to help them mark their ballot.

This time honored practice may be how this silly notion started. But just look at your ballot when you go to the polls. ALL the candidates will be on the ballot and you can vote for ONE candidate for each office from president to dog catcher. And if you don't like the choices provided by the parties - you can always write in your choice. posted 05/10/2008 at 14:26:35

Spinning? Fine. Spinning AND Lying? Not Cool.

Well, sad to say they won't because most politicians are basicly cowards. Before they take a position in front of the pack, they must know for sure which way the pack is headed.
I don't see how either candidate will go to the convention with the number of votes needed to assure the nomination. Without a sure winner the Super Deligates will make the choice. But, if the "Party Bosses" get to select the nominee I would not be at all surprised to see them select a third party rather than anger the supporters of either candidate. I think that is why Al Gore has been so quiet. posted 05/05/2008 at 17:42:16

Pennsylvania Primary Results: HuffPost Bloggers Weigh In

I've heard two of these "Operation Chaos Agents" on the Rush Limbaugh program who claim they participated in the Caucus system in Texas and were selected as delegates to the state convention. Rush claims the purpose of "Operation Chaos" is to keep the Democratic nominating process going so people can see who the candidates are, and what mean spirited bigots the Democrats really are. posted 04/23/2008 at 17:57:54

Earth Day Resolution: No Biofuel from Food Crops

Cars can run on ethanol, and ethanol can be made from a wide variety of organic feedstocks. But, there are a several big problems with ethanol that must be solved before it will replace oil (gasoline) as a major source of energy. Perhaps the main problem is this.

Gas and water don't mix - so water from rain or from humidity in the air migrate to the bottom of the tank and don't foul up the fuel mixture till the storage tank starts to run dry. But, ethanol, no mater what it's made from, mixes completely with water. No wonder oil companies are eager to mix ethanol with your gas at the station? posted 04/22/2008 at 16:16:05

White Men

If you care to check Alabama ( at least where I live ) is nothing like central PA. We do love our guns and our churches, but the races get along reasonably well. A lot of those good jobs, building cars, planes, boats and steel that folks talk about being shipped overseas are actually moving FROM Korea, Japan, France and Germany and winding up here in Alabama (not central PA or Detroit because of a better work ethic here.) The jobs pay well for whites and blacks alike.
Homes are still being built, and mortgage money is available if you have a down payment and the ability to repay that is consistent with the home you want to buy. (and $150,000 will buy a 3 bedroom 2 bath home on a 3/4 acre lot in a mixed race neighborhood) But please stay where you are, we are trying to purge the bigots from our midst. posted 04/21/2008 at 12:24:32

Karl Rove Offers Mind-Bending Take On 'Flag Lapel Pin' Issue

It seems to me that Senator Obama has to field a lot of questions because he has so little real history to speak for him. He is a little like a kid coming out of Pop Warner Football wanting to play quarterback for the Giants. Maybe he can, maybe he can't, people would just like to know before we sign him up. I know he was a neighborhood organizer in Chicago - but I don't know what he was organizing and who was paying him to do it. I do know there are a lot of pretty evil political figures who have come out of Chichago ( as well as some pretty fine ones ). Which is Senator Obama? How can I be sure. ? It dosen't help him reach new (old) voters when his supporters on HuffPo tear into Hillary Clinton - not long ago the Clintons were saints. posted 04/20/2008 at 18:56:31

My Recollection of Hillary Clinton at the 1995 Camp David Meeting

So, Ms Skocpol, you've known how coldhearted she was since 1995, but as long as it suited your purpose you and the other Clinton salons and intellectuals were able to keep quiet. You should be ashamed. posted 04/19/2008 at 18:40:05

ABC Debate: High Ratings, Critics Give Broadcast Poor Reviews

Playing Blacks like a drum is not a Clinton thing. It is a Democratic Party thing going back way before either of us was born. The Republican Party even went to War (Between the States) to free us from our Democratic Masters! The Republicans won, and gave us the right to vote. So for a long time Blacks were Republicans. But when Democratics came back to power they passed Jim Crow laws to keep Blacks in their place. People like KKK Robert Byrd (D-West VA), and the FBI under Democrat Bobby Kennedy were set up as enforcers. Then MLK made an unholy agreement with the Democrat Party. Blacks will vote Democrat - the government will give us what we need.

But if a Black ever gets uppity - watch out! posted 04/19/2008 at 12:19:09

The Very Serious Debate, Starring The Very Serious George & Charlie

Look, I realize the Democrat party is currently split into two warring and vocal camps.
For Obama we have:
a) professional students, socialist professors and other hopeful losers, posting on HuffPo and sponging off their hated Uncle Sam;
b) fellow Ivy Leaguers, who we know have had particularly difficult lives;
c) school teachers; who pass their days trying to impress their tiny troupes, and protecting their Union rights;
d) hyphenated racists living on the public dole, or mainstreamed through affirmative action;
e) women lacking self control, but afraid of being "punished with a child", and the gutless men who abandon them;
f) guilt ridden liberal elites, who love all people, except conservative Christians, and gun clinging ignorant white men;
g) greens, preferring to freeze in the dark waiting for global warming, rather than building nuclear power plants or drilling off the Florida coast (where Cuba, China, and their other socialist friends are currently drilling);
h) others who have never worked in their life, and have the audacity to hope they never have to;
i) Oprah and Friends;
j) The Main Stream Media (except Charlie and George)
And on Clinton"s side:
a) United Auto Workers, crying in their Toyotas , while their "jobs are shipped overseas";
b) Bowlers, barflies, duck hunters, and stretchers of the truth;
c) Elton John;
d) Rush and Ann;
e) Charlie and George.
But hey, when the party comes together; what an awesome team! posted 04/18/2008 at 19:37:11

Pa. Voters Divided Over Obama Remarks

Questions? Have any of you ever conducted a poll? Do you know how the people are selected to be polled? How many of you check your cell phone before answering, and reject "unknown" numbers? Have you ever noticed how the polls predict a blowout, two months out and a nail-biter as the day arrives; but people still believe them?

How many will vote for someone based on who the polls say is going to win? posted 04/15/2008 at 19:04:52

Compassion Forum On CNN: Clinton, Obama Square Off

Let's open our eyes people. Every candidate in the race for president is a member of the most elite club in America; the United States Senate. They are all millionalres. They all come from elite schools, and their education was paid for by someone else; none are particularly intelligent. But one of them will be president, and we had better not put ourselves in a position that 49% of the population hates him/her. posted 04/14/2008 at 17:02:35

Obama: No Surprise That Hard-Pressed Pennsylvanians Turn Bitter

People, wake up. Detroit is dead! UAW's don't buy American cars. Toyota is taking over NASCAR. And there is no president who can change these facts. The good people of Detroit have to roll up their sleeves again and get off the dole and find something to do that can't be done better in China. Too many people promise too many things they know they can't deliver. And too many people lap it up because it is easier to whine than it is to work. posted 04/15/2008 at 11:40:07

Obama's "Big Tent" Campaign Cuts Out The Little People In California

It is not likely that either of the two leaders will have enough deligates to secure a 1st ballot nomination. So unless one of them drops out the professionals will take over the process. This post was started because one man was dissapointed for not being selected after giving $100 and some time to the Obama campaign. Others (e.g.George Soros) have invested millions in the party - why don't you think they will get their choice of candidate? posted 04/11/2008 at 14:55:45
Get ready for another eye opener. Once the deligates get to Denver they are only expected to vote for their pledged candidate on the 1st ballot. Then the professionals take over. (It's really kind of exciting and it has always been so! ) That is why Ms Clinton will not drop out. posted 04/10/2008 at 20:54:17

I've been following politics and have voted in every primary and every election since JFK. Every candidate from the party out of power always runs on CHANGE. But look and you will see, the folks who ADVISE i.e. run the campaigns are the same from candidate to candidate. The candidates CHANGE, the pupit masters remain the same.
