My radio station in the car is set to the local station which broadcasts the baseball game. It is also called Talk Radio so the lineup includes the usual lineup of misfit, miscreants, and drug addicts. On my fifteen minute trip to the post office I heard three calls to Hannity. . As I heard a commentator say last night, Hillary will have to be vetted before she can be placed on the ticket. This may seem counterintuitive given the fact she is running for president and VP is a lesser position, it really isn't. What have Hillary and Bill been doing for the past 8 years? Obama has not brought it up because it is not his style. Republicans have not brought it up because they are jonesing to run against a Clinton in the GE. The MSM has not brought it up because, because, because it is the MSM. The dealings of both Hillary and Bill would need to be scrutinized before she could join the ticket. I started to write that your assertion that the poor make more money off of welfare programs than from working is utter bullshit. And, for the most part, I still believe it is utter bullshit if you consider cash income alone. However, factoring in health care, food stamps and housing assistance, you are probably correct. Rather than an indictment of the individuals involved, it is an indictment of the system. Why can't a person willing to work 40 hours a week be able to afford food, clothing, shelter, and health care? Everyone runs down to Walmart to buy cheap goods but wonders why their taxes keep going up. Of course Walmart's corporate policy of shifting the cost of health care to local authorities might have something to do with it.
