Bio
Daughter of crazy, but hot, woman, and famous, cult, porn, auteur (he is also hot!). Raised all over the eastern seaboard by hot parents and father's nuclear family, but not all at the same time. In fact, none at the same time. It's okay because my grandmother and her brother were in movies in the 40's. Her brother was given many a convertible by Betty Hutton. His attentions were elsewhere (Lucky, anyone?). Grandmother remarried a Jewish Republican semi-mobster from Atlantic City. There is such a thing! But I don't know why Tip O'Neill was at the wedding. Had my first sip of a drink playing Rummy 500 with new grandfather and original grandma (at her beckoning) at 9 years of age (screwdriver). Won. New grandpa told stories of "spaghetti and meatballs" in the mouths of snitches (use your imagination), and muldoons (stolen credit cards in the time before computers). Meanwhile, mother was deported from the UK for stalking Prince Charles. Who could blame her? "They" were keeping them apart, and threatening my life in the process! I was all of 13. Schizophrenia is a bitch. It all really unraveled when my mother went after Walter Cronkite, but in a good way. My mom WAS (another story) best friends with Mr. Cronkite's daughter, Nancy. Nancy had a few moments, herself. Mr. Cronkite had become familiar with such episodes, and how to deal with them. So, when my mother fixated on him, he knew what to do. Unfortunately, because of her friendship with Nancy, my mother had all of his addresses and phone numbers. And Mr. Cronkite showed restraint in the face of my mother's perserverance. However, when my mother showed up, declaring their engagement (in spite of his marriage to Betsy, her best friend's mother) at his CBS office, he called the authorities. I was incredibly hopeful once my mother was at the crazy farm. Paranoid schizophrenia is so difficult to deal with, especially as a child, as the parent perceives every expression of concern as a threat. Or, as my mother would say, "(Y)ou are not my friend." I hoped to persuade the doctors to try medication. Anyway, I digress. There is much more to this story, but I will write that book when I am ready. Which seems to be now.
