Bio
Born 1959 in NYC, grew up in the Washington DC area,a product of the 'burbs and liberal-intellectual parents with doctoral-level educations. I got my GED in 1979, having left the public school system after 2 weeks of 8th grade, and all schooling by the age of 16. I rapidly became a typical story of downwardly mobile suburban youth drug/dropout culture, associating with various left-anarchist 60s-relic factions and not doing much other than working for low wages, drinking and getting high, and having sex whenever possible with whomever happened to be available.
I got in trouble for what ended up being a misdemeanor assault conviction, and left DC in 1985. I moved to Colorado, was accepted to, and dropped out of Boulder's Naropa U (Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics). I got married, had a kid, got divorced, and continued my pattern of downward mobility and antisocial behavior until 1995, when I went to prison(multiple drug convictions and robberies involving a BB-gun). After my release on parole in 2002, I was again accepted to Naropa U, undeclared, and dropped out again after a couple more years, with no degree but with enough psych credits for a minor in psychology. I remarried, this time to a woman I'd met in DC in 1983. I currently do janitorial work for 7.02 an hour. I'm a skeptical and reluctant left-leaning member of the Libertarian Party, for the simple reason that if civil liberties and individual rights complete their vanishing act, all other non-totalitarian political agendas -liberal,conservative,or moderate-will cease to even be possibilities.
I publish obscure and politically ambivalent rants on Associated Content, and usually get paid absurdly small amounts of money for them. I currently have several works in progress, including a prison memoir.

I think Arianna Huffington is the most honest and courageous liberal on the scene today.
