I Am Not a Bargaining Chip, I Am a Democrat

Dear Hillary Rosen,

Throughout this campaign and as an Obama Supporter I have disagreed with you frequently. Your blog is staggering and precise. Not because you now support Obama, but because I was one, previously dead-set against HRC as VP, but had begun to change my mind - until she completed her speech last night.

I was so appalled and yes, angry, that one would demand respect while refusing to give it. I was appalled that she believes she "owns" the votes of 17 + Million people and that it was hers with which to bargain. I was appalled that our nation has shown itself to have risen above ALL Western Nations, and validated the efforts of many to reach a point in which an African-American would be nominated for President of the United States by a Major Party.

I was simply appalled.

I know that I am not alone and can't help but wonder how many were changing their minds too?

Thanks for your note. We ARE Democrats and we must bond together to ensure victory in November. No one person or powerful family should be allowed to stand in the way of our success.

Sincerely,

I continue to be amazed at how low-brow, ignorant, and gullible the press (and often the Clintons) think voters are!

There will ALWAYS be ONE person of ANY race who will not vote for another based on their ethnicity. People like Pat Buchanan, Joe Scarborough, Marcus Dalby, and Robert Byrd work had to perpetuate these views among the few that will listen to them.

Still, most Americans of ALL races are intelligent enough to see past these very basic tactics and look to the issues and the integrity of each Candidate. While none are perfect, Obama definitely leads the way. posted 04/01/2008 at 13:58:29

Hillary Clinton, who espouses being for the "Little Guy", has stiffed some of her most ardent Supporters - Ohio Businesses! This truly is shameful

We ALL know what will happen from this point: Clinton will utilize every base angle she can claiming people are being sexist, unfair, and that she is a victim in an effort to drum up donations.

With her campaign having CONSISTENTLY been in financial trouble, what indications are their that she can manage an enormous Federal Budget? No double-talk, claims of hate-mongering, or flat out lies can refute these facts.

Worse, Clinton has clearly broken her word by not immediately paying these poor Small Business Vendors. Another example of Clinton's being "Users for the Moment". Setting aside the Bosnia, Ireland, and other first-hand lies, how can she be believed to be a person of her word if she injures HER OWN Supporters?

What sets the Womens movement back is NOT giving Women enough credit for having the intelligence to form an opinion regarding what is best for the country based on distant and recent historical facts.

Unfortunately, the latter three attributes foil Hillary Clinton as indicated by White Water, Bonsia, Ireland, and her non-payment of monies owed the "Little Guys" who put their business on the line to help her in Ohio and Iowa. The damage the Clintons are doing to the Democratic Party is far worse than many believe, not that they care at all. Still, let's assume, for a moment that they did. Who can reliably poll the affect their actions have had on Younger Voters, the African-American Community, and Voters who are a part of neither of these two groups, but have become disenchanted from watching a powerful family literally attempt to circumvent the agreed-upon rules?

Make ANY discussion of Wright and/or other sensitive issues a part of his unflappable, straightforward demeanor. THIS is what unnerved his competitors, especially the Clintons, in the past.

Stick to the issues that are important; avoid getting into the weeds; hit back ONLY if necessary, however, if doing so is inevitable, hit back HARD. Obama will be in shape and at his "fighting weight" by the time he faces McCain.

Further, she has told the students at the beginning of each campus session, "You can ask me anything. Nothing is off limits". Therefore, let's hope students pose the following to Miss Clinton:
