"Firearms WILL NOT Be Allowed In Hall"

There is an irony to this development. Is the NRA afraid of their members?

Are they leasing a building with an anti-gun policy?

Or is it worry about an anti-gun nut with his own insipid irony by trotting in and shooting everyone with his Saturday Night Semi-automatic? Most gun people would (should) advocate responsibility... posted 05/18/2008 at 08:50:34

Bill was pissed because "to play us out" is moronic kiddie slang. His problem, if any, was that he felt the show "Inside Edition" wasn't tabloid trash and deserved more formal language to read.

Ellen Degeneres Announces Plans To Marry Portia De Rossi (VIDEO)

I am technically bisexual, if anyone cares.

In a different, less mature forum, I had no qualms saying that's what I technically am. (Not just because half the people can say I'm a closet gay, with the other half saying I'm incapable of making a choice...) I also told them I made a choice as to how I live, and they were not satisfied with that simple explanation, which I shall repeat below:

I made a choice. I will concentrate my time on a WOMAN who likes me as much as I like her, and work toward a lifelong relationship and marry. Not simply swap fluids, say "thanks", get tested for 20 diseases, and then move on to the next. That is nothing to be proud of, especially if they themselves proclaim "tolerance for all" but then say MY choice is wrong (as it contradicts what they want, which is to be antisocial rabble). I'll snort what they're snorting, maybe then I'll understand their illogic.

Some people claim I hate myself or that I am ashamed. Just how ashamed do I sound, right now? Ashamed of what, might I ask? I have no qualms saying what I am because I will not let feelings control my life. It's my CHOICE to decide what I do with those feelings, I know that whatever I decide some militant goon will get all self-righteous. I've been in that position before (unlike *cough* others). So I have no problems telling my story. posted 05/17/2008 at 22:16:29
Ethnicity is not a choice. We're all human.

Never mind that, after these 'marriage laws' pass, few bother to do it. Those who do, well that show Divorce Court will need new blood to drum up ratings as the cool judge was forced to leave...

There is far more going on than a fringe issue that affects, what, 2% of the population.

I know Democrats who would kill homosexuals. (Back when I was naive, when a friend found out about my lifestyle choice, he made a threat... took the better part of a decade, but I left that lifestyle and speak against it. Even when I was in it, I was one of a very few that actually gave a darn about civil unions. At this point, I couldn't care less and there are far more issues that affect far more Americans. I'd rather concentrate on those, as an American, than piddle with a bunch of radical fringe narcissists. ) posted 05/17/2008 at 09:57:55
That's a load of rubbish. Gays say "None of anyone's business" until they themselves troll into every available avenue and say it's their culture to do it in restrooms... even singers who used to say "Does it matter?" now say "I'm here and queer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Seems a bit conflicting, doesn't it?

And it's not surprising that other people start responding to those self-important people. And none of us likes it when you impose your values of empty morals and diseases into ours either. Especially in those parades, which certainly don't show you're worthy of much. We don't need to see you flashing genitalia or putting up parade floats looking like the same body parts. Pity I stay away from that garbage, otherwise I'd take pictures and videos and denounce it firsthand. Maybe I should, as some wouldn't believe that's what they actually do IN those parades. Pride? How about hubris, selfishness, and arrogance.

Oh, Roseanne was right and should not have to apologize for telling the truth about the narcissism. posted 05/17/2008 at 09:54:50

Why would I want to watch or need to know about it? As gays like to say, it's nobody's business and it shouldn't matter.

Also, "marriage" is a religious concept. "civil union" is a political one, by and of and for the people. Those who run the religion can decide who gets married. The people can decide who qualifies for "civil unions". The more *they* want to mix the two words only shows disrespect to those in the religious community, which is why "civil unions" were thrown into "marriage" amendments and the like. Because *they* are so over the top, militant, and ignorant. posted 05/17/2008 at 09:44:25
It was about selfishness, not rape.

Indeed, Roseanne made an interesting tirade she later apologized for. Having lived and left a community that isn't, I can proudly say she didn't need to apologize.

Yes, some of my beliefs are due to emotion. Others are because I've analyzed the viewpoints and (what's left of) society. For the greater good (notice how the gay issue always seems to pop up during election years), and because many gays (especially males) themselves don't care about it, why should anyone else?

And, yes, I do speak my mind. Because I do care. About everyone else. posted 05/16/2008 at 14:35:52

California Gay Marriage Ban Overturned: Major Updates

I agree - especially as you clearly understand the differences. Civil unions are up for the general public, religious rites can only be decided by the religions and those who represent them.

But having lived in the so-called "community" for a decade, before fully realizing how wrong I was despite fellow gays calling me "unevolved" for wanting a union, I disagree that it should be called a "community". Amongst other various nitpicks (is it pride to show off one's genitalia in public?)

I'm glad some out there actually want relationships, but in reality few do.

The "community" is wrong, and I regret supporting for something that isn't. posted 05/16/2008 at 14:44:36
As does asking forgiveness, on the provision one doesn't keep doing it.

And if "liberals" cared, they'd remove their trollish blinders and look at EVERY side to the story. (they love to tolerate men flashing their body parts and body part shaped parade floats too. If this gay thing was even remotely serious, nobody would tolerate such "outlandishness", for lack of more stern terminology.)

Roseanne was right. posted 05/16/2008 at 14:40:06

How about Reagan's legacy onto Bush? Carter onto Reagan? How far backwards shall we go; or should we work on the future instead?

Regardless, since 9/11 there has not been a successful attack. And for all the tinfoil talk of Bush or Cheney letting a new attack happen so they can seize power and do all sorts of things, how would they convince the American people it's the right thing to do? Step in their shoes. I can't think of any reasons. Can you?

And, yeah, I've seen the clips on youtube when Cheney (1994) says we shouldn't go in and summarily depose. I've seen the clips of Al Gore saying we had to contain or get rid of Saddam too. Ditto for Clinton. The world will eventually be a better place without Saddam and his ungodly offspring, no argument there.

Well, I perceive it like this:

1. McCain is a moderate, and the claim is, he's trying to win back lost Republicans by saying he wants to keep the tax cuts (which are clearly hurting more than helping)... dunno.

2. Obama's ties with violent, racist organizations (e.g. Wright, and the Black Panthers, who had their banner on Obama's site until he was called on it. The Panthers are not a group of unity nor peace. Obama, should he get the nomination, has a LOT of convincing to do.

3. I think Clinton is toast. Pity. At least the 1990s, also under the view of a Clinton, ensured prosperity for Americans while helping the rest of the world. THAT is the America I miss, and we need help right now; this has nothing to do with bootstraps; our future seems at risk. And she's at least been consistent on foreign policy issues... and she extended the hand of "dream team" to Obama, who in turn said this is a race for only one to win.

May Hillary win.

But I digress. Like the flag pin incident, Obama has indeed showed us in action, and thanks to those he has associated with, the underlying truth. Obama, nominally, was on the ball about uniting America, but I'm no longer convinced. So much has come out against him... even keeping his white relatives out of the picture; is there something else going on to deserve that?
