Obama Has Clear Money Advantage

$30,000,010. I'm giving another $10 just to celebrate. If you spend much time on the Obama site you will notice that people continually challenge each other to contribute. A lot of it comes in small contributions. We play a little game where we contribute in the name of trolls. It is infectious and one of the reasons that Obama continues to out pace Clinton in fund raising. If my calculations are correct, by observing the number of contributers, I believe that this month will be even better than last month. This will bode well for the general. I believe that Obama will have to turn down the public financing, since we will need a huge amount of money to counter the negative ads that will come from the right. This will take a lot of creative and educational ads. This will be expensive but ultimately successful. It's too bad that it will cost a quarter billion dollars to counter the false perceptions created by 15 seconds of sermons taking largely out of context. posted 03/21/2008 at 21:24:58
