Did the Limbaugh Effect Also Flip Michigan?

At the time of the election in Michigan, the media and Obama campaign declared that democrats were voting for the republican candidates, because many democratic contenders had taken their names off the ballot. It's just another theory that has no merit. posted 05/13/2008 at 08:12:02

An Issue of Legitimacy and Democracy

Obama supporters need to see the light. Read the Detroit News article April 7, 2008, Michigan may vote for McCain in the Fall due to this debacle. (Michigan has not gone for a republican president for 20 years.) Obama may win the democratic primary by refusing to give Florida and Michigan a chance to be heard, but that decision could lose him the general election. You need to look at the long view. posted 04/07/2008 at 07:28:54

Clinton Vows To Stay In Race Until Convention

NBC, MS-NBC, etc. are with the Obama supporters in asking Hillary Clinton to get out of the democratic primary because "she cannot win" without the super delegates. Neither can Obama reach the number of delegates needed to win without super-delegates. Tim Russert, one of Obama's media c0-chairmen (along with Chris Matthews), says Obama won the nomination "fair and square," and if Clinton does not get out of the race, she will hurt the democratic party.

In Michigan, the thing that has hurt the democratic party is Obama's resistence to a June 3 revote. So much for "fair and square." Many Michigan voters cannot get past the fact that Obama would prefer to disenfrancise us, than risk losing another state. That tells us a lot about his character and the type of politician he is, and president he would be.

The fact is Clinton won Michigan fair and square. (Obama "chose" to take his name off the ballot.) Even if all the votes that "uncommitted" and other candidates won were added together, she still won.

Without counting Michigan's vote, McCain benefits most. Sad. posted 03/30/2008 at 08:27:26

Michigan January 15 Primary Ruled Unconstitutional, But No Re-vote Ordered

In the courtroom, there was agreement that Edmunds' ruling did not invalidate the election itself. "Nothing I'm going to do or say" changes the results of the Jan. 15 voting, Edmunds said.

The above quote from the judge indicates that the election could stand, but the idea that only the republican and democratic parties could have access to which ballot voters chose was ruled unconstituional. posted 03/29/2008 at 08:30:20

Hillary's Approval Rating Plummets In NBC/WSJ Poll

MISSJABEZ, you need to get your facts straight about Michigan's primary. You must watch MS-NBC and believe everything Chris Matthews tells you. Read a newspaper. posted 03/27/2008 at 07:43:31
The media picked both the republican and democratic nominees early and then did everything they could to make sure they got the coverage they needed to make up the voters minds. It worked. posted 03/27/2008 at 07:40:48
Seems to me there is a lot of dividing going on -- on all sides. Too bad. McCain wins. posted 03/27/2008 at 07:37:24

Michigan, Florida, and the L-word

Part of that pledge was not to campaign in Michigan, but Obama's supporters DID campaign. posted 03/24/2008 at 17:38:29
Obama's supporters DID make sure there was no revote in Michigan. ANd that is a fact. posted 03/24/2008 at 17:35:55
Check out the facts--check out the language used by Obama supporters to block Michigan's revote. Read any Michigan newspaper and you will see--Obama's supporters in the legislature blocked the legislation allowing for a June 3 revote. posted 03/24/2008 at 11:03:02
The "rules" said there was to be no campaigning in Michigan, but Obama's supporters called and wrote telling Michigan voters to vote "uncommitted." His campaign did not follow the rules.

Obama took his name off the Michigan ballot (not Clinton). That fact seems to get overlooked.

Check out the facts: Obama's Michigan campaign manager (in the legislature too) and other Obama supporters in the legislature blocked the revote.
