Well what can I say, I was a travel agent for 17 years until just before 9/11/01. I quit my job in August 2001 because of the corporate stress of a new boss from hell. After 9/11, the travel business went down the tubes and I never tried to work in that business again. I have taken little part time jobs here and there, selling on ebay, and a couple other websites. I met someone about 5 years ago, we started dating, we moved in together, and finally got married this year.
If I had to do all over again, I would have gone to college to practice law. I have always loved the process of law and politics in the back of my heart. Since President Bush came to office, my concern and attention to such matters has been awakened. Not the kind of awakening I like but one that truly concerns me because of my children and future hope to have grandchildren.
When I was a travel agent, I was so blessed, I got an opportunity to travel to some pretty strange places, from Europe to Pakistan. The one thing I learned, is to learn about the cultures before you go there, when in Rome it is true you have to do as the Romans do. You have to learn to respect the cultures in which you visit.
This has always been another love of mine geography, different cultures, and different religons. I read alot, watch alot of educational television, independent news networks, documentaries, and read foreign newspapers online. Last but not least I am a Democrat. I have registered with several of the candidates online and several organizations online, to keep alert of on current information that effects our Country. One of my favorite shows is Democracy Now with Amy Goodman and Keith Obermann on MSNBC.
