I have experienced many things in my already long life - in June I will be 69. I was a hippie in the 60's and 70's and lived in country communes. My first son was born in one of these. I experienced the Vietnam War, the assassinations of John and Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, the resignation of Dick Nixon, etc. My first political memory is of Harry S. Truman and the end of World War II. Last year I earned an MA in Classics with a specialty in ancient Greek poetry, especially Homer and Greek tragedy.
