Tennessee GOP Attacks Michelle Obama, Obama Camp Hits Back

Admit the Republican party has played a major role in bankrupting this country - You must be in the top 2% of income earners who still support the pathetic leadership of Bush and Cheney? Or perhaps you are looking forward to the rapture or apocolypse? Or are you blind to a failed pre-emptive war, devalued dollar, mortgage crisis, energy crisis, gas prices, credit crisis, environmental crisis - the list goes on. Our leadership has failed most Americans. Are you better off than you were 8 years ago DesertLight? We have had 8 years of profoundly ignorant leadership - the results are evident. posted 05/16/2008 at 12:55:15
I am confident that Michelle Obama will be one of this nation's finest first ladies. She is brilliant, articulate, passionate, genuine, compassionate, authentic and strong. Compare to Cindy McCain - living off an empire of alcohol distribution. The Obama's represent the future, and a hopeful one at that... How dare the Republicans criticize Michelle Obama - they should be ashamed of their failings of the last 8 years and take responsibility for the misery they created in this world. posted 05/16/2008 at 12:33:13

Lieberman Parrots Obama Hamas Smear

I get the same impression, Lieberman is a voice for the Israelli lobby. He is the voice of another generation, does not represent our future. How did Gore ever select this man as a running mate? He was known as a conservative democrat, middle of the road, religious, and ethical. Now he seems like a prostitute for the Republican party - mainly because of his support of the invasion of Iraq. He deserves to join the Republican hall of shame - how did he get elected this last time around? What were the people of Connecticut thinking? They must have lost their bearings... posted 05/12/2008 at 18:10:29

Obama In Kentucky And West Virginia: Why Will He Lose?

Humans are hierarchical like most creatures in nature. Even a homogeneous group of humans will create hierarchy - it is in our DNA. Why will most uneducated whites not vote for a person of color? It would denegrate their delusion of superiority, or someone who they percieve as 'below' their status in society. If we weren't hierarchical by nature - would we have a president or government? It takes a spiritual consciousness to rise above color, caste, and creed. It is heartening to know that a majority of Americans have risen above these narrow and devisive restratints. Senator Obama will prevail over an older white male - my opinion - even with some of the poor uneducated white dems voting for McCain. posted 05/12/2008 at 12:56:14

Obama Suggests Offer Maybe Clinton Can't Refuse

Nobody bailed Mitt Romney out after he invested 20 million (approximation) of his own money in an unsuccessful bid for the republican nomination. The Clinton's should be fully responsible for the campaign they have chosen, and personal money invested. I have sent more money to Senator Obama than any other political candidate in my entire life - largely to fight the Clinton machine. I would have preferred that money spent to win the presidency. I do not want to see any of my hard earned money going to the Clintons ever... posted 05/11/2008 at 03:33:22

McCain and Me: Hero Worship Dies Hard (But When It Does...)

Yes, I wonder what Senator McCain's 23 bombing runs over Vietnam accomplished? How many innocent men, women and children were killed as a result? Does this make him a hero? His courage as a prisoner of war is not in dispute. I agree with Arianna - John McCain has abandoned his principles with ease. He is comfortable in doing whatever is politically expedient - despite his previous beliefs and positions. This is certainly not the type of leader I want in the White House.. At least Senator McCain had the sense not to vote for Bush, for that I can give him credit. posted 05/07/2008 at 01:49:16

McCain is a Lousy Candidate: He Will Be Clobbered in November

You may be right about McCain, he doesn't stand a chance against either Senator Obama or Senator Clinton. It wouldn't surprise me in the least, however, if he isn't the Republican on the ballot in Novemeber - he does have a history of cancer which is very serious, plus he will be 72 years old soon. He is the kind of guy that will take the fall if it serves the party... The Question of Hillary Clinton's Guilt-By-Association Tactics

'A feminist form of George Bush' - wow, that is a scathing commentary on Hillary Clinton. She is certainly mirroring the Rovian smear tactics. Use FEAR, liberally and repeatedly. Go after your opponents strengths and denigrate their character so people will be forced to vote against the opponent rather than for her. Our reptillian brain centers prevent reason while under the sway of fear. I hope that a majority of Americans in November will be using reason and intelligence in their choice of leadership - wouldn't that be remarkable a change? posted 05/03/2008 at 12:26:21

I want a President who has a keen sense of humor - how else can we survive the next 4 years? There are so many problems that have developed under the Bush reign that we better learn to laugh or else we will become ill. Dear Lois: I am a Ventura County constituent very happy to hear of your endorsement of Senator Obama! I agree with your reasons wholeheartedly! How about helping rid Ventura County of Republican congressman Gallegly? We could use a progressive democrat down here! Dear Harry - sounds like you had a rough, unstable, and painful childhood. Amazing how you ascended to one of the highest political offices in the country. The HuffPro bloggers are not very happy with your leadership - from reading the comments! The new democratic congressional majority hasn't been effective at shifting policies and addressing our multitude problems. Senator Reid represents the gentle, dignifiied, and respectful democrat. Perhaps a little too much like Mr. Rogers? The dems are tired of feckless and powerless leadership. Senator Clinton's ressurection has come partly because of her willing to fight hard - even if it is manipulative, deceitful, and cunning. Many Americans want a fighter to lead. Gore and Kerry are examples of what didn't work (too dignified and intellectual). Senator Obama needs to let the fire out of his belly - and soon! posted 04/30/2008 at 11:51:19

America May Owe Reverend Wright a Debt of Gratitude

I enjoyed Rev. Wright's interview by Bill Moyer - thoughtful, outside the box, genuine, interesting. I found his sermon about "Difference" does not mean "Deficient" to the NAACP intriguing - most agree that we should respect other cultures and religious traditions. However, I do not feel that Rev. Wright has treated Senator Obama with the dignity and respect he deserves. He seems to denigrate those who seek political office - as if they are not relevant. Perhaps Rev. Wright prefers the Clinton candidacy? One thing is crystal clear - the republican machine strongly prefers to run against Hillary Clinton despite Rev. Wright's activities. The Republican National Committee & it's media outlet (Fox News) is spending time, resources, and energy to destroy Senator Obama's candidacy. I hope to 'god' that we can move past Rev. Wright soon! We need to get behind a strong candidate who can address the multitude of severe problems we face now and in the future. I continue to fully support Senator Obama despite this dilemma and controversy. posted 04/29/2008 at 11:59:09

Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Media Blitz Forces Barack Obama to Face the Angry Black Man Test -- Again

I enjoyed Rev. Wright's interview with Bill Moyer. There was a thoughtful, genuine, and authentic exchange of ideas. Reverend Wright is an impassioned and articulate preacher. He may scare off more secular voters who may not want to be reminded of Christianity. I also listened to Rev. Wright's extended speech with the NAACP on CNN. Rev. Wright thinks outside the box and shares a unique perspective on history and spirituality. His theme was 'DIFFERENCE' does not mean 'DEFICIENT' - suggesting a broad acceptance of other faiths and ways of being without judgment... seeing the good in each other. Jesus did preach the golden rule afterall - love thy neighbor as thyself. The idea that African descent children learn dominantly with their right brain is a bit controversial. I am sure each child of every background has their own learning style despite heritage. It is possible that there may be a dominance of learning styles within different cultures? He appeared eccentric, humorus, passionate, and brilliant - and yes, controversial! Reverend Wright doesn't hold back and appears to care little about the judgment of men. I can understand his appeal to the many who attend his church in Chicago. I prefer that Senator Obama had this type of counsel - a pastor who questions authority and reveals the underbelly of history. posted 04/28/2008 at 12:35:11

Inspiration Versus Degradation

I finally agree with Erica this time. I found the interview with Reverend Wright brilliant, inspirational, and authentic. It is clear why anyone with an independent mind would be impressed by Reverend Wright's understanding of the bible and history. He speaks his truth with clarity, passion, and wisdom. He is not so concerned with the judgement of men. I see a bit of the revolutionary in Senator Obama's eyes on rare occassion - it doesn't trouble me, we need a non-violent revolution, and soon. posted 04/28/2008 at 01:03:09

Sunday Roundup

Off the cuff, if you believe in pre-emptive war without end, disastrous economic policies, denial of scientific truth, disastrous environmental policies, taxation of the poor and middle class, tax benefits to the rich and corporate powers, creating a Christian nation and government, permitting automatic and armor piercing weapons, criminalizing abortion, criminalizing stem cell research - you will vote with lonerangerides who must be a neo-con. With these position, you will have to write in Huckabee in November.. posted 04/27/2008 at 14:46:15
Infidelity, smear, deceipt, manipulation, coverup, fear mongering - welcome to the Clinton circus. Senator Obama has addressed all questions concerning Reverend Wright, Ayers, and Rezko in detail. Reverend Wright was openly interviewed by Bill Moyer last week on PBS - he revealed who he is at heart - a brilliant, truthful, compassionate, and provocative pastor doing his job. He also understands that actions of individuals and governments have consequences - what one sows so shall one reap. He has the courage to speak out against the atrocities our government has perpetrated rather than view things in a delusional way. The Clinton's ushered in the Bush era - and helped bring forth a majority Republican congress that has remained power for 14 years - only in 2006 did that power begin eroding. Clintonian tactics divide the electorate just like Bush/Cheney/Rove and neuter the democratic party. Support the Clinton's if you want more of the same. posted 04/27/2008 at 14:34:45

No Laughing Matter: Obama Has Real Problems With Voters He Needs in November

AC500 - I agree wholeheartedly. The future of the democratic party will benefit profoundly by a Senator Obama victory. The Clinton presidency weakened and wounded the democratic party delivering George Bush into the presidency which helped sustain a republican dominated congress. The democratic party needs to develop a strong a unified foundation for a very difficult future. The coalition that Senator Obama has brought together is just what the democratic party needs for a successful and sustained future. posted 04/26/2008 at 13:53:58
Ask yourself why the republican party is investing money in advertising to slam Senator Obama so he may be defeated by Hillary Clinton??? The republican party hopes and prays to run against Senator Clinton for any hope of prevailing in November. Senator Obama's positives outweigh the negatives. Senator Obama has prevailed in most polls pitting him against Senator McCain, Hillary has not. The democrats have had at least double the turnout in the primaries compared to the republicans. Much of the country is suffering moderately to severely due to republican leadership over the past 16 years (the republicans had the majority in congress during the Clintonian presidency). We are desperate for CHANGE. Do not FEAR an Obama victory. After winning the nomination, Senator Obama will 'FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY, AND STING LIKE A BEE' when running against McCain. I am confident that Senator Obama will win decisively. posted 04/26/2008 at 13:39:35

Pennsylvania Observations

One thing that is crytal clear - the Republican party prefers Hillary Rodham Clinton to run against in November. Have no doubt - watch Fox News commentators like Hannity and Colmes... you will find extensive Senator Obama bashing. Why, the Republican party knows it has a much better chance of prevailing against HRC. If this doesn't say something about Senator Obama's appeal and chances of success, what does? David Brooks - Republican conservative New York Times political writer who is frequently seen on PBS Newhour with Jim Leher - has confirmed this fact repeatedly. The Republicans want Hillary to be the nominee. It is also a given that the Republicans are under the radar doing what they can to assist HRC's success in the primaries. posted 04/24/2008 at 11:55:35
Senator Obama has a real challenge on his hands: maintain respect, dignity, and integrity - or truly go negative against Senator Clinton. As Michele Obama rallied against fear mongering in Iowa - she said that fear stupifies the mind and deters reason (my interpretation). Senator Clinton is using fear unabashedly, and making every attempt to denigrate Senator Obama's character. In the short run, it is keeping Hillary in the game and working for her. There are plenty of genuine negatives that Obama could utilize against Clinton to finish off her sinking ship. At this point, I think the Obama campaign should take off the gloves and fire back with accurate representations of the Clinton's many negatives. posted 04/24/2008 at 11:43:00

Even though I support Senator Obama - I enjoyed hearing Senator Clinton's views on religion and spirituality. She did a fine job of communicating her beliefs. Senator Obama was outstanding at communicating his beliefs and experience regarding religion. He reiterated the need for people of all faiths to find common ground, including atheists. I think General Wesley Clark would be a great choice. However, he has shown up, repeatedly, standing behind Senator Clinton during the few primaries she won. Other than not choosing to support the candidate I prefer - he is a solid force in the democratic party. His clear, rational, and intelligent communication style can only help. Misogyny, Momism and Militarism

Erica just doesn't get it... many voters are looking for authenticity, integrity, dignity, intelligence, honesty, wisdom, and character. Even many of her own supporters have grown weary... This is not about misogyny - it is about authenticity, honesty, integrity, and character. Clinton Says Obama Wants to Stop Votes

As I see it, the real problem is our campaign donations are being used against the other democrat rather than against the Republican forces of darkness. Some senior supporters of the democratic party see this clearly - not wrapping up the nomination process soon will weaken the flow of cash when it counts - the general election. I cannot afford to send any more money to my favorite candidate and it sickens me that it was used against another democrat. As the economy continues to deteriorate - money will only become tighter for those of us non-corporate donors. Let's hope this nomination process is over soon! Hooked on Hillary

I always wondered what type of woman stays with a serial philanderer and is this type of woman equipped to be president? I was open to it at the beginning of the primaries, not for long. In fact, it is Bill Clinton that has been Senator Obama's greatest supporter - unintentionally. I believe Bill Clinton also paved the way for the Republican congress and presidency, unintentionally. Nora helps me to understand why HRC has become a skillful fabricator. "I think she was once a truthful person and her lying skills were forged in the early years of her marriage, forged in the crucible of Bill's infidelities and in her role as point person in dealing with them. This is what happens when you marry a narcissist: he spills the milk, you clean it up and your love grows. And then you end up a liar, just like him." It sounds homeopathic - like creates like, or like cures like. The real problem is that we have been funding two democrates fighting each other rather than opposing the NeoCon machinery. It is also abundantly clear that this same neocon machine has wanted to run against Hillary knowing it had a better chance of dividing the country and pirating the election once again. The Republican conservative political writer, columnist, and commentator David Brooks, has said the conservative Republicans from the start had hoped to run against Hillary... you can draw your own conclusions. posted 03/30/2008 at 20:43:15

The Fear Factor

There you have it - what will stop the Clinton supporters going to McCain, you ask? If this is the sentiment, then it is true - Clinton and McCain are closer together on issues than Obama. It is abundantly clear that Senator Obama has the pledged delegates and more superdelagates coming his way to secure his leadership position. Why? He is running an effective campaign that speaks to millions of Americans. He earned his success the old fashioned way - he earned it with dignity, honesty, and integrity. The same cannot be said for Senator Clinton and company if you are paying attention to reality. The real problem is that supporters of both Clinton and Obama are funding the infighting for the nomination. I have given all I can and will unlikely be able to send more monetary support once Senator Obama is nominated. It is a shame at this late stage that many small donors have spent money on the fight between the democrats instead of against the Corporate Theocracy party which McCain represents. posted 03/29/2008 at 19:25:22

Don't cross the Scorpion (HRC's sun sign) - or you will be stung. When Dick Cheney was confronted by an ABC interviewer about two thirds of the American public being against the war in Iraq he said: "SO". When Senator Clinton was finally called on the carpet for the contrived heroic fantasy about her trip to Bosnia she said: "I mis-spoke - I am human, to some that is a revalation". If this doesn't speak to both Cheney and Clinton's character - what does? Either Senator Clinton is a pathological liar - or, delusional. How can anyone overlook this fantasy? Bill Clinton has proven to be dishonest repeatedly - largely responsible for bringing forth the Republican congress and presidency. Yes, Hillary is very bright, articulate, intelligent, and ambitious. Do we really want another vindictive, manipulative, secretive, deceitful leader in the White House? He knows the Clinton's all too well - his silence this election cycle is unfortunate. His silence certainly - to my mind - is a position against Senator Clinton. After all, he spent 8 years in intimate contact with Bill & Hillary. He may not yet have confidence to endorse Obama either... Why would Gore want to be put through the hell of becoming President again - he is free and enjoying his life. Who would want to step into the almost insurmountable mess created by the Bush Corporate Theocracy? What will surprise me less than an Al Gore candidacy - is someone other than John McCain becoming the Republican nominee for health or senility issues. This would could pose real challenges for the Dems if they are facing a more electable Republican candidate in November. The Clinton's have employed a Nuclear campaign strategy as their ship is sinking - Mutually Assured Destruction. I hope that Al Gore has the courage to stand up and be counted soon - before it is too late for the Democratic party. posted 03/27/2008 at 13:16:08

Smears and Tears: How Obama's National Security Week Turned Into the Mendacity of Hype

I agree - what is in this for you Joe? Let's be honest about the Bosnia story - Senator Clinton created a heroic fantasy to embellish her foreign policy experience. Exaggeration is one thing - a totally made up story is bazaar. I don't believe Hillary is delusional - perhaps cunning, manipulative, and deceitful. How much longer will we be deceived by our leaders? How can you support poltical leaders who obfuscate, manipulate, cover up, and deceive? Doesn't dignity, honesty, and character count Joe? Isn't this what the current adminstration has been doing from day one - this same administration who outted your wife as a CIA operative? How can you support the Clinton's when they have repeatedly shown such severe flaws in character? Why do you truly feel that Senator Obama is inept, incapable, and off the mark? The Clinton's have dug their own grave - Bill Clinton being Senator Obama's most successful unintended supporter. Can you not envision Senator Obama's potential? Do you believe all the leaders you question have poor judgment or lack intelligence: Senator Kerry, Gov. Richardson, Zbignew Brzezinski, Air Force General McPeak??? Bill Clinton also helped bring forth at least 14 years of Republican domination, unintentionally, but true. Were you not once a registered Republican, Joe? O.K., you previously stated that the Clinton's were there to support you and your wife during her outing by Cheney, and Obama was not there. No one has been held accountable and Libby will certainly never serve any time. posted 03/26/2008 at 14:38:30

AP: Why Wasn't The Truth Good Enough For Hillary?

Whichchange - give me a break! It is crystal clear and transparent that Senator Clinton created a heroic fantasy to embellish her foreign policy credentials. She only admitted her mistake when there were several eye witnesses that came forward and video footage. To err is human, to deceive is less than noble. She has been overcompensating in her run up to the White House, beginning with her authorization of the Iraqi preemptive war without even reading the security reports. The only other option is she is delusional - do you want someone delusional answering the phone at 3 AM? I don't think Senator Clinton is delusional - cunning, manipulative, calculating, deceitful - I will grant both of the Clinton's these qualities. They believe the ends justify the means. I know that there are also two sides to every coin - and the Clinton's also have fine qualities. I think we have had enough of lies, deception and coverup the last 16 years. It is clear that there is a CHARACTER issue with both Clinton's that will not go away. posted 03/26/2008 at 12:20:22

Blab It, Grab It: Why Evangelicals are Finally as Mad as Hell

Anderkoo - you make an interesting point. If we can mutually respect each other, we can get much more accomplished. It is difficult when one has a belief that is absolutist. The evangelical 'political' leadership, for the most part, has been 'intolerant' - not the happiest bedfellows. Let's hope this will soon change... posted 03/26/2008 at 14:08:24

Hillary: That "I'm Human" Is A Revelation To Some People

Degjack - why not speak to the issue in the above video clip? Senator Clinton created a heroic fantasy in order to enhance her credentials on foreign policy. She manipulated and deceived the public for her own ends - now she says it was a mistake and she's human. Is this the type of 'human' you want leading this country? What will prevent her from obfuscating, manipulating, and deceiving once elected? We have had about 16 years of lies and cover up - Mr. Clinton is part of this. We need ethics, dignity, intelligence, and HONESTY back in the White House, otherwise, I am afraid we are going down quickly like the Roman Empire. Degjack - if you applied for a job and made up a story on your resume about your worthiness and qualifications - and the potential employer found out it was not true - do you think you would ever have a chance of being hired? Manipulation, deceit, cunning, and fantasy are not the 'media's' fault. The Clinton's themselves have provided this in full measure. Of course this isn't all of who they are, but it clearly speaks to CHARACTER! posted 03/26/2008 at 11:57:59
I don't believe deception, manipulation, obfuscation, and fantasy make us human - these qualities reveal the shadow side of humanity. We don't need another leader who believes the ends justify the means. What type of person has to create a heroic fantasy in order to be deemed worthy? What type of person stays partnered to someone who obfuscates and deceives others knowingly? This speaks to character - and we don't need this type of character leading the country now or ever! She did at least admit her mistake, once there were multiple witnesses and video footage of what actually happened... otherwise, this manipulative fantasy would have lived on as the truth. posted 03/26/2008 at 10:51:03

"Obama's Test" or Ours?

I considered Hillary before the California primaries - but changed my mind Stellaa. You 'want reality, Hillary is reality'. When Hillary lost her grasp on reality, I shifted my support. 'Collective delusion' - how bout individual delusion? Contrived heroic fantasies do not represent reality. What do you think of the HRC Bosnia fabrication? Oops, 'I mis-spoke, to some it is a revalation that I am human'. This speaks directly to a character that is deeply flawed. I want truthfulness, transparency, intelligence, dignity, wisdom, vision, and compassion. Maybe I am delusional? posted 03/30/2008 at 03:03:39

A McCain Moment: Do You Want Four More Years of This?

K-Dog76 - You are right in pointing out it is easy to gripe, but difficult to find solutions. I am of the opinion that we need a highly intelligent, articulate, ethical, dignified, reasoned, and wise leadership. This doesn't only include the presidency - but leaders in congress, and leaders of state. I actually have ideas that are very conservative, and ones that you might consider liberal. Let's agree to disagree - however, this simplistic idea of Conservative Vs. Liberal is absurd. We are all a mix of ideas and beliefs. K-Dog76 - take a close look at 7.5 years of 'Conservative' Republican leadership??? Are you better off today? Is the country better off on any level? And you want to continue the same policies with John McCain? Perhaps you have served the military and are loyal to McCain - I can understand this. Good luck, however, if he wins and there is a continuation of the Bush policies... I am of the opinion that Senator Obama has the most potential to change the misguided direction of this country, bring back dignity and ethics into the white - and rapidly improve our standing in the world. The key will be who he surrounds himself with as president - so far, I have been impressed by his keen intelligence, articulate communication, detailed understanding of issues, and ability to inspire others. Obama has enormous potential - we shall see... posted 03/25/2008 at 20:46:35
It is very possible by November, the Republicans will have replaced John McCain for health reasons or senility. This wouldn't surprise me at all. Does 23 bombing missions over Vietnam make one a hero? How many innocent lives is Senator McCain responsible for destroying? Our 'right to life' leaders have little concern for 'life after birth'. Certainly, being shot down and remaining alive in prison for many years reveal dogged tenacity and character - he was heroic in this respect. John McCain comes from a long line of warriors - it is in his DNA. I don't think he will be creating a department of peace anytime soon. Senator McCain reminds me of the archetypal Vice Principal of a high school - at least at the time I was going to school. The Principal has to maintain dignity, respect, and be above the fray. The V.P. has to be scary and carry out punishment and discipline directly. At least when I went to school, the V.P. was always the enforcer - the one most feared, not respected. It is clear that Senator McCain is just what we don't need - a punitive, patriarchal, authoritarian, and volatile leader. posted 03/25/2008 at 16:40:01

China Blasts Dalai Lama, Pelosi on Tibet

Way to go Nancy Pelosi!!! Finally, someone in congress who has the courage to stand up to the largest repressive regime in the world, CHINA! One billion people who do not have the freedom to speak their mind, practice religion openly, or move freely. The Bush/Cheney double standard has completely squandered our 'moral' authority in this world. They cavort with Monarchs and Communists - and try to spread democracy in Iraq??? This is schizophrenic policy. It is so transparent! NANCY PELOSI HAS REAL COURAGE!!! - standing up to the largest nation in the world - who took Tibet by force and has occupied since 1959. They lie about the Dalai Lama with impunity - and hate buddhist spirituality and all religion. The Chinese have destroyed Tibet and brutally repressed the Tibetan people. The olympics will shine the light on CHINA - who will censor every word and monitor every video camera. What a weird world we live in... posted 03/24/2008 at 10:40:29

Why Am I So Afraid

Don't take Erica too seriously! Where is your sense of humor? She is using freudian psychology here: Penis vs. Vagina (stallion is a breeding horse and beaver - we all know what this references). Don't get swept away by Erica's focus on genitalia - she means well. This post may be the least offenseive towards Obama yet. Perhaps Erica is ready to embrace the Stallion? She will probably have no choice, hopefully, soon... Additionally, beavers are bad for the environment: they destroy trees, dam up perfectly healthy streams, and are territorial... posted 03/22/2008 at 16:08:08
You may be surprised to know - ULTIMATELY - we are all related! Doh! Hi Cousin! posted 03/22/2008 at 14:48:11
Interesting post! I am sure Stallion Obama is as hard working as Beaver Clinton! Stallions are unfixed horses usually used for breeding? Is this some type of Freudian concept for Ms. Jong? Senator Obama is outrunning (more delegates, more popular votes) beaver Clinton. Beaver also has Freudian connotations??? Beavers care for their own, chop down trees, build dams, and pursue food. This may not be good for the environment? By the way, why are Beavers referenced as vaginas? Can anybody answer that? posted 03/22/2008 at 12:21:58

Another Bill Clinton Moment On The Campaign Trail

Bill lost his dignity, honesty, and integrity long ago. Even though his words have been offensive and disrespectful, he unintendedly helped Senator Obama more than anyone else - my opinion. Remember South Carolina? He belittled Senator Obama, and continues to do so. Look what happened - outrage, indignation, and endorsements for Senator Obama! Thank you Bill! As Jon Stewart alluded to on Larry King Live - President Bill Clinton may have an unconscious penchant for destroying his wife... Think about it? posted 03/22/2008 at 12:05:15

What Barack Obama Could Not (and Should Not) Say

OK, you nailed me. I spoke, therefore I do not know. Buddhism has many threads, systems, demoninations, and beliefs - like all other religions. Buddha like Jesus did not write anything, as far as I know. Therefore, all information regarding these mystics is second hand... I did not state, 'what is my purpose', I stated: "Do you really know where you came from or where you are going?" These questions are meaningless to you (an atheist - ok, I can accept that... posted 03/23/2008 at 02:48:14
Oh Samuel - you speak of one who KNOWS the TRUTH? Do you really know where you came from or where you are going? Can you say unequivically that all religions ideas, ideals, and possibilities are false? The saying goes: Those who speak do not know, and those who know do not speak. There are some Buddhist teachers who ask mainly one question of seekers: Do you believe in reincarnation? The idea is that unless we have some idea of a continuation after death - humans only live for the moment without responsibility. Fatalism usually doesn't work out for the best. However, there is a silver lining about this weeks turn of events for Senator Obama - No one can claim him to be muslim ever again. The bad news is that ONLY a CHRISTIAN can ever hope to become president of the USA. posted 03/22/2008 at 14:41:32

Obama, Clinton And McCain's Passports Breached: Two State Dept Officials Fired, Investigation Underway

"As far as we can tell, in each of the three cases, it was imprudent curiosity," Mr. McCormack told The Washington Times. ... Three high risk breaches imprudent curiosity??? Obtaining Senator Barack Obama's social security number plus personal information and sharing it sounds like more than curiosity. It smells of Republican dirty tricks...

Bill O'Reilly Needs to Enroll in "Understanding the Internet 101"

Arianna - I love your website. It keeps me informed with thoughful, timely, and intelligent op eds. It allows me to participate in our democracy. What novel thing, participation... B.O. feeds on negativity, divisiveness, and opposition. In oriental philosophy, what we go against, we strengthen. Better to put our energy into what we are for - my opinion. Perhaps B.O. is helping The Huffington Post in this way??? posted 03/21/2008 at 01:24:30
