Hillary's Honorable Future: A History Lesson

This is the silliest piece of writing I have seen in a while. It is reminiscent of Bible thumpers who choose which parts of the Bible to take literally, and which parts to pretend don't exist. Like, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination." (Leviticus 20:13). Translation: Homos are evil and should die. But in the same same chapter, "And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death" (Leviticus 20:10). Translation: Cheaters are bad, but they didn't really mean death, they meant alimony.

Carter would have been a great president. But the combination of a botched rescue attempt and the slick, grandpa-like patriotic orations calling us back to the roots of American greatness sunk his ship¦and look what we got for it: the revitalization of the industrial military complex, rampant government deficits, trading arms for hostages, Bush I and Bush II x 2.

Yeah, great comparison. What a dip. posted 03/28/2008 at 14:05:04

Just Who Do These Rich Clinton Donors Think They Are?

You BO supporters make me laugh. You are all so afraid of Hillary you'll stop at nothing to demonize and smear her and her supporters. All I hear is Yoda: "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."

Your misplaced hatred of Hillary is going to lead to suffering for us all.

More fake facts from a BO supporter with NO EVIDENCE to support them. "I also believe..." is what you say in part of your rant. Well, every one of your points should have begun with that phrase. posted 03/27/2008 at 14:05:57

Everyone hates corporations and special interests...but everyone uses them to their advantage. I could accept your arguments if they weren't always laced with media tag-lines. Try using your own words (seems to be a running problem with BO and his supporters...using their own words). The real difference between BO and HRC is that HRC can control these interests while BO will collapse under the weight of the very real pressure they can apply. He hasn't figured that out yet, having NEVER taken on these so-called special interests in his life. Hillary has taken them on and she has learned valuable lessons from those encounters. BO is just trying to lift her experience as his own, as usual. posted 03/27/2008 at 14:00:32
No matter what she says or how she says it, you'll always be critical. The funny thing is not that Hillary has deep feelings, but that BO can't formulate an independant thought. All his ideas are carbon copied from Hillary's website. posted 03/27/2008 at 13:54:03
I would be saying what I have been saying all along. Pledged delegates, number of states won and popular vote do not nominate a Democratic candidate. You must have 2025 total delegates to win, period. Its not about who comes closest, it is who reaches the target.

Furthermore, insulting Hillary and her supporters is exactly what BO and his supporters have been doing for months now (just like you do here, and elsewhere all over Huff). But they condemn Hillary for doing the same thing. Talk about hypocrisy.

BO will NEVER win the White House in 2008. posted 03/27/2008 at 13:50:07
More useless polls. This one doesn't even tell us what the composition of the polled population is, so how are we to judge its relevance and accuracy.

Quinnipiac did a similar poll in NY, and the results are the EXACT OPPOSIT.

"Clinton tops Sen. McCain 50 - 40 percent, while Obama is ahead 49 - 38 percent."

I'd rather have NY then tiny little CT any day.

Keep dreaming BO. posted 03/27/2008 at 13:45:16
No...the press tries to bury them in BS with seriously flawed polls like this one. posted 03/27/2008 at 13:35:45
These results were not "weighed" in accordance with standard statistical procedures with regard to sampling a population. This poll, as with most from these news organizations lately, is skewed in an effort to manipulate the results in favor of their preferred candidate. What a shocker. posted 03/27/2008 at 13:32:56

Obama & Co. Stop Taking the Bait

Because this is a contest requiring 2025 delegates to win, Mr. Ellis is correct about one thing, "they are getting hitched whether they like it or not."

Ellis also says that in order to win, "Obama need to formulate a broadly populist message aimed squarely at the rust belt." The difficulty here is that Obama has thus far been unable to formulate any idea or policy that wasn't already proposed by Hillary Clinton first.

He just doesn't have the political skill required to win this thing this time. He's going to have to wait.

p.s...I am college educated and I am a white voter still firmly in Hillary's camp. If you want to win over the working class white voters, you might start by talking to them as equals rather than relegating them as, "less educated". These men and women might not have a college degree, but their life experiences can be of much more relevant value to them then the "platitudes" of men cloistered away at Stanford. posted 03/26/2008 at 16:23:11

Smears and Tears: How Obama's National Security Week Turned Into the Mendacity of Hype

Obamabots simply cannot accept the facts...especially if they are delivered in great detail by someone who was there. They will continue to lash out all the way to the convention. That's when they will blow up in to a violent rage and then ignore the rest of the process because this is what Gen-Y types do, isn"t it?

BO is nothing more than an empty-suited used car salesman who will hurl the s*** in the face of his opponent in order to avoid talking about his own policy because most if it was lifted from Hillary"s website.

HRC: Let me explain my plans on the war, social security, environment, housing, jobs, trade, diplomacy, health care, children and education. (Then she gives us details¦ACTUAL DETAILS FROM HER OWN BRAIN)

BO: I, ahhhh, agree, ahhhh, with everything, ahhhh, Hillary just said, but I am the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas with a typical white grandmother.

He"s an empty suit. I am apt to respect the opinion of someone that is paying their own bills, not sitting at home burning up mommy and daddy's electricity by posting endless and meaningless dribble they regurgitate from BOs website without researching the facts for themselves.

Again, you are propagating incorrect information in an effort to support your preferred candidate, BO. Hillary Clinton has released every tax return she has filed over the last 20+ years, with the exception of 2007. Since the deadline for filing is 4/15, why should she release it any sooner? Talk about lies and distortions. Instead of repeating everything you read in the blogs, why don't you do a little research before posting yet another erroneous fact.

I"m glad BO finally released his LAST 6 YEARS of tax returns. Maybe now he"ll release other documents related to his time in government and his business dealings. Hell, why don"t we ask him to release documents about the advice his wife gave him while he was in office. It would only be fair, right? What"s good for the goose¦ posted 03/26/2008 at 14:39:55

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick And Ex-Top Aide Christine Beatty Arraigned On Perjury Charges

What is disturbing here is the propensity of prosecutors to interrogate people/politicians under oath about their sex lives. Then, when finding no other evidence of wrong doing, they roll out the perjury and obstruction charges. I"ve had enough. I don"t give a crap about who any of them are sleeping with. In fact, I"m happy that their getting some, whether from their spouse or otherwise, it is really none of our business. Morning Shows Snipe At Clinton Over Bosnia Remarks

and please, dont respond by correcting my spelling. posted 03/25/2008 at 15:39:41
Ask the same question of Obama. Where are his returns and financial records for the years during the Resko scandle? You are right about one thing...we all have until 4/15 to file our taxes. Why shoud she show you last years taxes before you have to show yours? And keep this in perspective, we are only talking about last year's taxes. Hillary has more than 20 years of returns on the public record. We cannot say the same thing for double-standard Obama.

So, keep searching for something. People a lot smarter than you or I have been digging into the Clintons for decades now and found NOTHING. THEY HAVE FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF WRONG DOING BY HILLARY OR BILL, except that Hillary recalled the Bosnia landing differently and Bill blew a wad on Monica. Obamabots are going to cling to this like it is the holy grail of anti-Hillary gospel.

Is that all you have? Really? posted 03/25/2008 at 15:37:20
This is unfortunate. However, have any of you ever been in an aircraft that's made a fast cork-screw landing, then put into a bullet proof vest in the middle of a war zone? It was a war zone, no one can deny that. And there was the potential of sniper fire, and I am sure she was briefed on it (whether Sinbad was brief or not). She was still there doing good work for America. So it isn't a stretch to me that she remembered it somewhat differently. Obamabots are going to cling to this like it is the holy grail of anti-Hillary gospel. posted 03/25/2008 at 15:24:51

The Clinton Credibility Gap: More Nixon than Gore

Making up fake dialogue doesn"t prove that Hillary Clinton is a liar. You"re just being foolish with this kind of playground dogging. Yeah, she screwed this up, but it by no means now that you can honestly say that everything she has ever said or done is a lie. Ignorance, simple plain hatred and ignorance. I mean Nixon? Seriously? Where does Huff get these whack-job writers?

I guess the Obamaggots finally have something they can turn to when they question the patriotic and historic work Hillary Clinton has done for all Americans in her life time. They finally have something they can bash her with. Something more than the passing on of the lies the right wing has so systematically been able to sear into their uninformed little minds. Talk about trash. posted 03/25/2008 at 15:52:35

"Obama's Test" or Ours?

Blah, Blah, Blah. The race isn't over yet. We'll see whose whining when its all over. I'm not angry at all. Don't feel entitled. Hell, I'm energized. 2025. It takes 2025 delegates to win the nomination. Not the most states, not the most delegates, not the most votes. An exact number: 2025. Neither is going to reach that goal. So when it goes down, and Hillary wins a brokered convention, I'll keep a hanky ready for ya kiddo. posted 03/25/2008 at 14:30:30
Is it at all possible that "we" the people have been talking about these issues in our homes, churches and pubs? With our friends, family and co-workers? My friends and I (gay and straight, male and female, black and white, young and old) have touch on these EXACT sentiments for years. The only difference between BO and us...we weren't looking to score political points. We have just been trying to understand each other. He doesn't even mention that women of all colors have been downtrodden for far longer than any man of any race. But WE have.

"We preach freedom around the world, and we mean it, and we cherish our freedom here at home, but are we to say to the world, and much more importantly, to each other that this is the land of the free except for the Negroes...Now the time has come for this Nation to fulfill its promise. "- Kennedy, 1968

And to name a few others (throughout history) to satisfy you: Adams, Jefferson, King, Kennedy, BILL CLINTON, the civil rights participants of Greensboro, Montgomery, Selma, Haley, SNCC, CORE, Lawson, Gandhi, get the point.

Don't ask me to define American history for you. Figure it out for yourself. posted 03/25/2008 at 14:20:35
I'm not talking about abandoning my ideals. What are you going to do when you finally face a moment in your life where you are at risk of losing that pie in the great, big, blue Colorado sky attitude? When you realize that humans are in it for their own self-interests? When you realize that you have lost a fight to which you've pinned all your hopes and dreams? What next? Give up, or keep fighting?

BO supporters are going to give up in droves when their man losses. Their attention will be lost and the cynicism will begin to set in. posted 03/25/2008 at 13:57:09
