Hillary Agonistes: Why Doesn't She Concede?

I think people should just let her go to the end, because then when the numbers aren't in her favor, her supporters can't complain, they lost, they didn't win over enough others to give her the nomination. Now if somehow she manipulates the system, which she's trying to do, then the Obama supporters will be upset, rightfully upset. How is it that she's behind in everything, trying to use voodoo mathmatics? The media is just feeding into her mantra, by telling her to get out, they should just let her quietly finish these primaries, that I believe would be much better for the party, for Obama. How can her supporters be angry, upset, because they lost fair and square, she ran a lousy campaign and she should have known better, ran a better campaign. posted 05/14/2008 at 12:29:15

Skyrocketing Energy Prices

Thank-you Senator Levin,
If you in public office could bring this issue to the forefront, in a manner that the public can understand, then force the Congress to do something about it, well, it would show me that the Democratic Party still is looking out for the people. I've been posting on as many sites as I can how dispicable I find it that the speculation in the markets have chosen to make money on commodities. The price of food has gone up 80% in the last year, riots in Cairo, can't these traders leave something untouched, is there no decency left in the world. How can traders live with themselves, when they know that what they're doing is perhaps creating the death through hunger or starvation, just so they can buy and extra bottle of champagne. I went on wikepedia a month ago when I heard of the rise in food prices, to better understand commodities trading, this isn't commodities trading this is Vegas gambling. This weekend I was listening to NPR discuss the sub-prime meltdown, the bundled mortgages, what led to that debacle, where was the Congress then. I find it hard to believe that when the bubble bursts, that's when government goes, oh my God, look what happened! posted 05/12/2008 at 20:10:08

Top 10 Reasons Obama Defeated Clinton for the Democratic Nomination

I think we've also had it with family dynasties, that name recognition just doesn't work! I as a woman didn't like the fact that the reason she was given the opportunity was because her husband had been president. Older women may have gone with her, but younger want to vote for a woman who makes it on her own, not on the shoulders of her husband, especially a husband that cheats on you. One thing that she's done is opened the door for a female candidate that can compete, one without baggage, so we have to thank her for that. posted 05/12/2008 at 12:14:05

The Why of Chokingly High Oil Prices: Bush Together with Saudi Arabia Spells Disaster for America

Do you really think that the powers that be will change their behavior? I think the majority of the rise in the cost of a barrel of oil stems from the commodities market, the greed of investors who don't care what that does to the working class, the middle class, as long as they get their Vegas fix. Why is it that food has gone up 80% in the last year, is only food connected to the price of a barrel of oil?How long did it take for the media to explain the sub prime meltdown, how long did it take Congress to do anything about the housing scams? How long will it take and how many deaths will it take because someone in the third world dies of hunger, while someone on Wall street buys another bottle of champagne? posted 05/12/2008 at 13:30:17

Oil surpasses $126 per barrel ahead of US driving season

I will say again and again, that playing the commodities market like you were in Vegas is a crime, these hedge funds and futures are what I believe will come out as to why the prices for a barrel of oil has risen, or should I say, doubled in a year. The past ten years we saw the real estate market act like it was Vegas, you bought a house and two months later it was worth 10,000 dollars more, not because you put any money into it, but because of speculation, well those days are gone, so now the money people are speculating on commodities, like grain and rice and oil, the basics. We may not be buying new dishwashers, but we will always need to eat and fuel our engines. When the price of oil and more countries start demonstrating about the price of food, when the world revolts against those that would starve someone in Africa, in order to buy another bottle of champagne, then we'll see politicians do something. posted 05/10/2008 at 14:07:14

The Firewall: Obama Wins NC primary

It's very sad to hear the msm continue to parse voters into catagories, seperate us, versus unite us. I suppose they're just getting ready for the big show, their strategy to really make this an election based on race, to use race, sad. Hillary ran a lousy campaign, why isn't anybody talking about that, why is a smart woman, a highly educated woman, not connecting with educated voters? Why does she have to resort to gimmicks, to stay alive in this race? I would be insulted to be constantly refered to as white, uneducated blue collar workers, as if that means I don't have common sense, enough to see through the games being played. posted 05/06/2008 at 13:10:24

Black-Issues Group: Price To Pay If Clinton Wins Through Superdelegates

If the Democratic Party goes against the pledged delegate vote, because let's face it, the super delegates are the Democratic Party, then they can watch people leave the party and join the ranks of independants. Now with the internet and it's capacity to raise money, an independant candidate has a chance. Why should people vote in primaries, sign up, if the party grand pooh bahs alter the will? What they also are doing is taking the initiative away for people to get involved, to give to campaigns, because why give your hard earned money to a campaign, if the outcomes don't really matter? Why can't Hillary face the fact, she ran a lousy campaign, she wasn't capable of fulfilling her strategy, whatever that was, how could she fall so far behind? She should have known better, this is her third time involved in a national campaign for the presidency. One never asks just how electable Bill was without Perot taking away votes from the right? posted 05/02/2008 at 13:43:49
Know what today that we didn't know before? That the msm brainwashs the sheep, that they've tried to find every little bit of information they could to discredit him. Why may I ask is it alright that Chrisianity in the south never stood up to segregation, to slavery, why do so called "good Christians" find that acceptable?. That after church on Sundays they held lynchings, the pediaphile problem with the Catholic Church, the other "pastor" problems? If the Democrats continue on with their innane ways, they're going to lose everyone. It's time Hillary were put under a microscope. Let's not forget that Bill has cheated on Hillary since they were married, yet she stayed with him, why? No ones questioning her judgement, I think this election makes it pretty clear why she's stayed with him, to ride his shoulders to the White House again, excuse me, but that's not the kind of woman I want to see as the first female president. posted 05/02/2008 at 13:31:42

How do we get the msm to do some finite research and tell the sheep why gas prices have gone up, while everyone was just sleeping on the job, how we allowed the banks to start risky lending practices, which propped up a failing economy by smoke and mirrors, made buying a house, like playing cards in Vegas? You don't have to be a rocket scientist, just how much is oil and food speculation in the markets, commodity trading, sending the price skyward? Even 25% in my opinion is obscene, people getting rich off of starving others to death? Like the savings and loan scandals of the 80's, there were some good journalists from the Philidelphia Enquirer, who showed how Congress passed bills that layed the groundwork, where are those journalists now. Anyone with half a brain could see that not only did these sub prime mortgages line the pockets of lending institutions, but it kept the economy propped up with people buying to fix their new homes. These global conglomerates don't need us like they used to, they're looking to India and China as their new buying public, as long as there are populations in the world that can afford to buy, who cares what happens, who cares that jobs are no longer competitive. Democrats might not have been able to do a lot, but they most certainly could have spoken out. Clinton: Not Exactly The Great White Hope

It seems that Hillary doesn't care about the outcome of the pledged delegates, the popular vote, that she's trying to get the nomination in some voodoo fashion. How can she ask for contributions for her campaign, when she basically is saying the voters don't know what they're doing, it's the super delegates that count. Speaking of super delegates, I think it's about time they start voting since the majority of the country has voted, how well informed are they, if they don't know who they're going to back at this late stage of the game? posted 04/28/2008 at 02:07:24

Democrats Fear Clinton's Attacks May Cause Racial Backlash

I keep asking the same question, if the Clinton campaign knew some states have caucuses, how the delegates are alloted, if they're so savvy, having been through two other national presidential elections, how is it they did so poorly? If spending all the money that they spent, they couldn't figure out that Obama would get the lions share of the African American vote, why didn't they rally stronger for the lions share of the historic female vote when they knew they weren't getting the African American? I as a woman, never felt she was justified as the first viable female candidate, running on the strength of her husband. As a woman that doesn't make me feel we've come that far, I didn't feel proud, not like I would if she truly ran on her own merits. Now as someone who's step-father is black, who's seen the racial overtones, but not experienced personally, this is an election that can change the world, Obama's nomination! posted 04/26/2008 at 12:14:15
That was a great segment by John Stewart, I just have to shake my head. It does show you how great this country is, when two people from the little state of Arkansas can all of a sudden believe they're destined to rule the world, no matter what. Hillary has been running since Bill left office, this was probably the deal she brokered with him after Monica. They are so angry that Obama decided to run, before they assumed was his turn, didn't he know that Hillary was supposed to be the next president? Slick Willy needs to start using his Coppertone again, he's not as slick as he was, and he's not going to become black with or without it. posted 04/26/2008 at 12:00:13

I wish someone would explain how Hillary plans to win, to convince super delegates that she's the most electable, when and if come June 3rd she has less of the popular vote and less of the delegates, even if Obama's campaign throw in Florida and Michigan. How will she maintain she's the best candidate, how will the super delegates put her over the top, or whatever she has planned for the convention, when she says she's going all the way to the convention. How is it she thinks she can do that much damage and then in a little over two months bring all the democrats together. It'll take at least a month to get people to believe she's the legitimate candidate. Why isn't it that no one asks her that with all the big states she's won, why is it she's still so far behind in the popular vote? posted 04/22/2008 at 15:09:14

I've been very dissapointed in the democratic party and have felt for the past 14 years that we need a change, we need someone to stand up to the corperate structure and show them, they need us, because I think they've forgotten, they're licking their lips looking at China and India, perhaps even Russia, with the world as their oyster, who needs a strong American middle class! How does the Clinton campaign explain away their deficit in the popular vote, while they're constantly chattering about winning the big states. You'd think because they won the big states, they'd be closer in the popular vote? They really are trying to be another Bush, losing the popular vote, talking about having the electeral college vote, trying to get the super delegates, their version of the Supreme Court to put them over the top. Why is her campaign short on money, the Clintons have all this clout within the party, you'd think they'd have more money, what happened there? Clinton Slams Democratic Activists At Private Fundraiser

Poor Hillary, not sounding too presidential, not sounding too confident, having to muster up excuses right and left. If she's so good, ready on day one, knows the system so well, how did she get so far behind, how is it party activists are not going for her? I think Obama really changed her game plan, because she thought she'd get the woman's vote and the black vote, so she's been pissed because she has to sell herself and she doesn't know how to do that, nor do those people who she pays millions of dollars, poor Hillary. I think that's why caucus states, educated voters went for Obama, they've educated themselves on him, read his books, so instead of listening to the pundits, know who he is and like what he has to say. posted 04/19/2008 at 13:55:12

Obama: Clinton Using GOP Playbook

I was listening to the msm and their political strategists, go on and on about Obama's bitter comment! Do these people really care about rural voters, those making $15,000 to $30,000, I mean really? Only in every 2 year increments, when someone has to get re-elected. Do those people know how disengenuous these politicians and political strategists really are, for the most part? I became an Obama supporter when I read his first book, read about his work as a community organizer. I also wonder exactly what people think Hillary's experience is, when they say she's given so much, she was a corperate attorney for 15 years! So I'm sure Obama knows what bitter tastes like, I'm sure he's seen it when he worked as a community organizer. I think he should out the republicans, tell the people how it really is, you can vote for them because you're afraid of losing your guns, because of abortion rights, concerning people you don't even know, gay marriage, when hetro-sexual marriages are lasting only 50% of the time, you can vote for them, but don't complain when your job is outsourced and no ones thinking of how to replace it, because that's not the republicans forte! It's so simular to the anti-smoking initiatives that are happening all over the country, give the people something they can get right up in the faces of others, show their indignation about, make them think there are changes being made for their benefit. posted 04/14/2008 at 22:40:56

Unforced Error: Obama as San Fran Liberal Elitist

Since most people are sheep, since politicians rely on that, just tell them that their neighbor is voting for x candidate and they'll vote for him or her. If people rich or poor, middle class or not, don't open their eyes, well, it'll be their own damn fault. The powers that be, whether they be democratic or republican, are scared to death that the majority will wake up and realize, we're all being sold out. What's going to happen when China and India become the consumers of the world, what elite will be serving them, the Europeans, they're closer, the euro is stronger. I became disallusioned with the democratic party years ago, after Clinton was elected and they couldn't band together to achieve any of the promises they made. I watched a documentary on why the party had changed, because of the cost of winning an election, that they were beholden to big business the same as the republicans, but they had to appear to be for the working class, the middle class. What did Clinton do, Nafta, the banking deregulation, the communications deregulation! Fortunately he had the cover of the republican held congress. Hillary has only been speaking out for 7 to 8 years, her time in the senate, on her own, not for her husband. Hillary did blaze the trail for a new kind of First Lady, that I'll give her, but to make her out to be the trailblazer for women in politics, I think you're doing a disservice to those who forged their own path, not following a husbands path! posted 04/10/2008 at 13:11:13

Well if he doesn't think that if Hillary gets the nod, that Bill's little problem is not going to have to be dealt with, he's certainly not thinking straight. I was just reading about Chelsey being asked about Monica, Hillary will be asked why she stayed with Bill after not just once, twice, three times, but do we know how many times? I think she should just come out and say, I stayed because I was and am ambitious, obviously not to set a good example for my daughter, stay with a man that cheats on you right and left. What kind of an example is that, you'd have thought that they would have resolved their issues after he almost lost the nomination, when he had to be rescued by Hillary on 60 Minutes. If it was that isolated incident, that would be one thing, if she trusted him when he said he had nothing to do with Flowers and I forget who else there was before Monica, no wonder she trusted Bush to not use military force as a first option. If she's not aware that her own husband is lying to her, how is she going to be crediable, have good judgement on other issues? So Mr. Davis, keep the Wright controversy going! Everytime one of Clintons surrogates resorts to petty politics, it just makes her look bad. How Douglas Feith and William Safire Transformed an Elvis Sighting Into a Case for War

I watched him Sunday on 60 Minutes, I hope his book comes and goes, who would buy such a pack of lies. It makes me so sick to see these, pansy like, men, who'd be scared to death to spend a day on patrol in Iraq, lie their way into perpertrating a war. Why can't we court martial or sue some of these men who lied us into a war, how can they get away with killing so many people. I don't know, I guess they have to live with their conscience, if they have one. Most people are so dumb, or so busy in their own little worlds that they can't take the time to go, wait a minute, that doesn't make sense. How can you let a man who supposedly studied and was paid to understand the middle east, get it so wrong, kill so many people? I was listening to Petreaus talk about military strategy, these Generals sit and reconfigure their troops like young boys with their plastic play soldiers, but need to pretend it's high tech. How are we to believe anything that they say. If we are the so called best military system in the world, why can't we train the Iraqi's, because we don't want to, this has been the plan all along. They come and say nothing, but then years down the road they'll be the ones writing books on what went wrong. I was listening to Feith talk about his new book coming out, it almost made me have to run to the bathroom to puke. Thanks Mr. Penn for making Hillary look so pathetic, for taking a strong, inevitiable candidate, into one that every three days finds something new to grasp at. She most certainly has lost her presidential look, it was a great strategy. How can you pay these people that kind of money to make you look so bad. How was it he met with the Colombian ambassador, weeks from the Pennsylvania primary, doing the same thing that someone in the Obama campaign did, that they used to win Ohio. It would be an interesting forum, to discuss what went wrong? Did she think that all she had to do was walk out on stage, what exactly happened in Iowa? I think her strategist thought that by using the Clinton years as a tool would be what she needed, when people really wanted a change, wanted to move ahead, not behind. An Issue of Legitimacy and Democracy

I have a few questions, how do these surrogates get their talking points, it's fascinating to listen to the msm and hear almost verbatum the same things thrown out, who gives them their scripts? Why should we believe that super delegates know more, then the voters, if they know so much, I would think that they look at Iowa, a place that all the candidates go one on one with the voters, that they don't rely on name recognition, gender, race, that it really is the strength of the candidate that matters. So what happened to your candidate, why can't she get across her experience. How do you explain the abysmal campaign she's run, not a smooth campaign by a long shot. I also think that Bill is a little cranky because he hasn't been paid to speak, that he no longer is getting the big bucks. I wonder if Hillary loses this nomination, what that will do for his speaking engagements. If part of the reason he's been paid so much is because everyone knew she'd be running, trying to get back in the White House. posted 04/07/2008 at 14:46:53

I think the democrats have to want to win, if they really wanted to take back this country, to turn things around, neither Hillary or Obama would be where they are today. This country is made up of so many petty, sheep like, politically unsophisticated people, who will educate themselves by listening to the sound bites that are thrown out, sound bites that never answer questions. Years ago I saw a great documentary on campaign finance reform, which showed how the democratic party had changed because of their dependence on big business to get elected. That's when I started shopping around for a viable third party, because I felt the only way we the people could and would send a message was by voting differently, independently. If you remember the savings and loan scandal, there were bills passed that paved the way, as I'm sure we'll discover in regards to the sub-prime meltdown. Even if they tack on Florida and Michigan, which if I heard right, giving Obama the other vote in Michigan would only give her a plus 14, she gets a plus 38 in Florida. Instead of maintaining the high ground she chose to start acting like, I hate to say it, but since I'm a woman, I can, a crazed woman! I would love it if she sticks to the issues, debates the issues, let's the remaining states vote and then acts stateswomanly like and exits with dignity. How she allowed her campaign to miss the mark, who knows, but she did and manipulating won't get her the nomination, it'll just put her in the same light as Bush, someone who stole the election. If she is alright with that, then it says something about her and her motivation, that we don't need. She's had alot more time than Obama to plan for this run and she obviously wasn't in touch with where the American people were and are, she missed the boat. I think if she had stuck with, it took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush and it'll take a Clinton to clean up after the next one, then went on and told us how she was going to do that, she'd have resonated with more people. I would hope that she leaves the race with a little bit more class, shows a little bit more of her savvy in regards to what's going on with the issues. Just repeating, ready on day one, 35 years of experience doesn't bode well in showing that a female can be as astute or more so, then her male counterpart. People say, she's a fighter, she doesn't know when to quit, well Bush is a fighter and doesn't know when to quit, so that necissarily isn't a plus, fighting a losing battle. Hillary's problem has been and is, she's only viable because of her husband, she's yet to honestly stand on her own merits, show her path to the presidency! Enough of this Nader bashing, let's see what the Democratic Party does this time with all the love headed in their direction. Maybe this time they can come together for the good of the people, really accomplish some of their objectives, let's see? I don't care what anyone says, Nader is an honorable man, he talks about the issues, he does't go negative! posted 03/29/2008 at 13:44:57

New Hampshire Paper: Clinton's Are Fair-Weather Friends

I wish someone would outline how she lost control, her ineviatablity status. It's too simplistic to say they didn't have ground troups, they had ground troups in Iowa and New Hampshire, was it they just didn't have the right message that resonated with the voters? Why was she considered the ineviatable nominee, because of her name recognition, the money from the big donors. Did Obama pass her by because he had passionate supporters, where she was like some banana republic name recognition candidate? How do you spend millions and millions, have been part of a successful campaign for this office twice already and do so poorly? posted 03/28/2008 at 17:20:16

Bush: Iraq Violence A Necessary Part Of Development

I pride myself on being relativly informed, but somehow I missed for the longest time, the deal with Muqtada's militia! All you hear is the surge, the surge, the surge is working, but very little analysis on the deal, the money paid to his forces. I would assume he's putting himself in a good position of power, showing what he can do, his control, the cease fire we bought. It also shows what we're really fighting and who. I wish the msm would spend more time on discussing the deal struck with him, instead of just using one word to describe Iraq, surge. posted 03/28/2008 at 14:35:44

AP: Why Wasn't The Truth Good Enough For Hillary?

How is it a smart person, who's been preparing herself for this election since her husband left the White House, how is it, she can perform such an abysmal job of campaigning? She comes across much better in the debates, her grasp of policy shines through, but then she hits the trail and resorts to, ready on day one, 35 years of experience! It is the lies that trouble me, the fact that she doesn't talk about her 15 years of experience at the Rose Law Firm. How can you be a partner in a law firm, be married to the governor, raise a child and be really active in community outreach, you'd have to be superhuman. So padding her resume, I'd call it changing her resume, to what she assumes the public wants. What I liked about Obama, his resume is pretty straight forward, you can see his objective, the fact that he started his career as a grass roots organizer. I think the Clintons expected people to vote for them, out of nostalgia, but the people want to move ahead, not go back. posted 03/26/2008 at 12:35:18
How can you with a straight face say I guess I forgot, that we actually didn't have to run for cover. My other question is where's her staff that should be vetting these speeches she makes, someone exagerated that for her, wrote it into her speech. You'd think that they would have been a little more savvy and realized the potential footage out there, that showed no sniper fire. Exactly how much more has she done than the other First Ladies? Why doesn't she talk about what happened with the health care initiative, what she learned from that? She certainly didn't know what was going on with her husband in the White House, she obviously wasn't that close to him. posted 03/26/2008 at 00:18:52

Pastor Of Clinton's Former Church: Don't Use Wright To Polarize

In thinking of all the energy surrounding pastor Wrights words, what about the ministers, preachers, who actually did something, the Catholic ministers who abused children. The ministers in the south who looked the other way, when the blacks were prejudiced against. Who could preach, segregating their congregation. Oh, that was then, we've gone beyond that, we've resolved that issue! posted 03/26/2008 at 01:25:53

Chelsea Clinton Has Quick Response For Lewinsky Question

I don't think when you're 28 years old, you can still be called a kid, think of those 19 and 20 year old kids fighting in Iraq, going back for two, three, tours, I would say they've been through enough, Hillary didn't even take the time to read the report, before she cast her vote! As to it being fair game, I agree, how is it she says that if she went to Wrights church and listened to him, she'd leave, but she's allowed Bill to have his affairs all through their marriage. She also uses him as part of her experience, if people were to wonder if he were to have another affair and leave her, then they wouldn't be getting this two for one deal. Are you voting for Hillary, or are you voting for Hillary and Bill, Bill helping Hillary. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some other escapades since the White House, that the republicans will bring out! I think it shows how out of touch the Clintons are, I'm very saddened that the first viable female candidate has run such a poor campaign. Ready on day one, 35 years of experience, thanks to my husband! posted 03/26/2008 at 00:58:49

The Fools of Spring Available for Comment: a Snapshot of Impressions of Madness at Dawn

I think I'm going to have a small notebook with me, when I sit and listen to any of these pundits, then send an email with the questions I'd like them to take the time to research, to discuss. For instance, why hasn't any journalist gone and done a program on ministers and what they say, those that are white, black, green, purple? Educate the public, instead of simply using sound bites to stir up the public, dummy down the public! Why isn't anyone asking what went wrong with Hillary's campaign, talking about that, how she ran her campaign, where they went wrong, what their expectations were and why they weren't met? Why don't they have an educated discussion on just what she's done that makes her ready on day one. If I read a book on how the White House operates, would that give me the gravitas to say, I'm ready. Let's discuss the role of First Lady, what she did with the health care reform, how much more she's done than other First Ladies! What about her 15 years with the Rose Law Firm, what about Obama's legislative job, his work in the law firm he worked at. I have alot of questions for these paid "journalists", but not enough answers! posted 03/25/2008 at 17:04:25

Don't Boo The Home Team!

I have been disappointed with the Democratic Party since 1994! As long as I can remember there's always an excuse for why the big ticket items that are drug out of the campaign closet, to rally the voters are never addressed. It's either the fault of the Republican President, or the Republican Congress, always something. If somehow these "super delegates", who can't come together like the republicans can and vote together, if they come together and go against the pledged delegates, I guess I'll have to look at Naders web site. posted 03/24/2008 at 21:19:51

4,000 Souls

This is the fifth anniverary of the war in Iraq. it has gone on longer for Americans than the Second World War. The purpose of this event is not to change the minds of those who wish the war to continue, but to show the other 70% of Americans how they can end the war.
If your protesting helps end the war an hour or two early, you may be personally responsible for saving the life of an American soldier. We all support our military and love the soldiers, and wish to bring them all home as soon as possible.
Remember that the purpose of your protest is not to change the minds of those who support the continuance of the war, but to activate those who oppose it. While protesting, be polite and obey the law. If some shake their heads, give you a thumbs down or give you the finger, do not respond in kind. Either ignore them or give them the thumbs up.
Remember the words of Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
I recieved this from a gentleman who tirelessly has stood on a corner with a sign week after week, updating the casualties. It's time we stand on more corners, it's time that more people join in. He and a woman have been there since August, rain or shine, they've taken an hour out of their week, to protest the war. posted 03/30/2008 at 14:44:32

Cheney On 4,000 Dead Americans: They Volunteered

You'd think after five years he'd have found something better to say, that his speech writers would have given him something that had a little bit of empathy. Then of course, he's the man who allows for political purposes to use gay marriage as a way of bringing out voters, never stood up for his daughter, but was indignant when she was brought into the discussion. That poor grandchild that's coming into the world, with a grandparent who throws her parents under the bus for political purposes. So if he is so insensitive in regards to his own children, why would you expect him to have any sensitivity to others! posted 03/24/2008 at 17:21:01

Clinton Camp Denounces Obama Iowa Supporter for Lewinsky Comments

Haven't we had enough of a president who wouldn't be president if not for the family he came from, 8 years of Bush is enough! Does anybody in their wildest dreams think that Bush could have made it without his family connections, first to buy part of the Texas Rangers, next as Governor of Texas! Hillary would still be at the Rose Law Firm, if not for Bill, if not for Bill and his affair, she'd not have won her seat in New York. I'm sure Silda could run now and be elected. I wouldn't be surprised if they had an arrangement, and this, her running to be the first woman president of the United States, is that arrangement. If Hillary wins the nomination, the republicans are going to stop wearing flag lapel pins and wear blue dress pins! posted 03/26/2008 at 00:37:46

4000 US Soldiers Killed In Iraq

You can't tell me this wasn't the plan all along, five years, 4,000 deaths, how many Iraqi's? Why isn't anyone asking what the Iraqi government is doing towards taking responsibility for their country? Why is it we go along with, oops, we made a mistake, but now we're correcting it, we had no idea dismantling the entire structure of a country would cause this much chaos? The time has come to say, no, not, so, but no, enough is enough, we've had too many lies from this administration. How could Cheney be so flippant, then spend the anniversary on a yacht, fishing, when men and women are dieing, have died, others maimed for life. I'm sorry, I can't believe their bumbling idiocy wasn't by design, look at how much money has been spent and made, not by Iraqi's, oh no, can't train them, because then Blackwater would be out, our soldiers would be out, before we had the opportunity to set up our permanant base. posted 03/24/2008 at 03:36:37

Is Hillary Positioning for 2012?

What I'd like to know is what exactly was their strategy, the Clinton campaign, they've been through this before, they knew the rules, they know their base, what was the game plan? Spending millions and millions a month, asking people for money every three days. I'd also like to know just how supportive she was to Kerry, did she campaign, did Bill campaign, like they know how to campaign, like Claire McCaskil is for Obama? I though don't think she can run again, I think she's blown her chance, that the powers that be, within the democratic party expected alot more out of her, she's got the name recognition, she started out with the bulk of the money, but she didn't have a message, except for, ready on day one. Everyone knew that she was positioning herself to run for the presidency, when she decided to run for the senate seat in New York. I think it's a feeling of ego, why is it she deserves the nomination, the Clinton presidencey lost the congress, she's never been in the legislature on her own, prior to becoming the senator of New York, because she put up with Bill? posted 03/24/2008 at 17:54:56

Newsrooms Revolt!

Thank-you for giving voice to those of us who know how powerful the media is, I've called them the modern day messiah. They can lead the masses in what ever direction they so choose, by brainwashing viewers with repeated sound bites, the sound bite nation! We act indignant towards dictators who would control the media, when we have our own dictator controlling ours, greed! I don't know what to do, except bombard the major news networks with email, on their blog sites, about my disgust in how shallow their reporting has become. I took the day off of work on Wednesday, feeling that was the least I could do, give voice to my desire to end the war. In the city I'm from, the only offering in the daytime was a demonstration in front of a local television station, to protest their abysmal coverage of the war. It was a day well spent, I guess I'll have to find more protests like that! posted 03/22/2008 at 16:41:18

John Edwards Unlikely To Endorse

If I can gather the direction that Edwards supporters are heading in, I'm sure he can too and has seen who his supporters are endorsing now. I've read very few Edwards supporters going for Hillary, most seem to be in the Obama camp. I think democratically speaking, enough time has gone by, where he can endorse one or the other, instead of wait for the outcome, hedge his bets. I never was a fan of his, I was more aligned with Richardson, in the beginning, I liked his gravitas. I see where I made the right choice. posted 03/22/2008 at 13:41:15

Mayhem At Fox News: Anchor Walks Off Set, Wallace Rails Network For "Obama-Bashing"

Thank-you msm journalists who finally have the guts to live up to their very important roles in society, to report the news, not make the news, not be tools in deception. They know what they're doing by repeating over and over and over again, sound bites, that then become the only form of education that most people get. I remember hearing about Pol Pot's brain washing during the time of the Khmer Rouge, well when you run something over and over and over again, that is a form of brain washing. If I were some of these journalists doing this, I'd be disgusted. posted 03/21/2008 at 13:50:42
