I am an educator, a Democrat, a person who has four children, a spouse, and I'm the caretaker of my elderly parents. I share, for the most part, the views of the Democratic party but I'd vote for people who share my views no matter what party they represent. However, the last Republican I voted for was Ronald Reagan; I trusted him. I am for Obama-Biden all the way and I actively campaign for the ticket. From my measly earnings I have scraped together a few hundred dollars to help Obama, and now Biden, win this election. If they manage to accomplish just one of their promises/goals I will be elated and grateful from the bottom of my heart; the issues they discuss effect me directly: education, insurance, jobs.
I also hold a personal wish. I hope that one day both gender and race and sexual orientation wouldn't become part of a discussion because they all are used to either unfairly disempower or empower human beings. I'd like to be part of a world where we'll all be viewed as individuals with widely varying opinions; isn't that who we are regardless of gender,race or sexual orientation?
