Im a Dad, an American, not a far left liberal, for sure not a conservative. Im guess Im more middle of the road. Is there such a thing as Bi-political? I just agree with much more of the liberal side than the extreme radical conservatives.
I've dwell in the Midwest most of the time, but wish I could live in the tropics because no matter how many times I've lived through it, I hate snow and cold. Im a whimp I guess.
Im worried that our Country has become pillaging grounds for American style capitalist, and our elected government resembles crack whores more than than the peoples representatives. Their crack is money, and American style capitalist are there to oblige .
Up until the last 6 months, I have pretty much supported the democratic party for over 25 years. Now I have no idea who or where to find a party to support as the only difference between democrat and republican politicians, is how its spelled.

Oh, you could be very correct there. I never thought about that. They want to flood the US with Cheap labor they can abuse and take advantage of. It lowers wages, benefits and expectations of what an employer should treat people like for all of us. Its a cheap worker can be replaced if they complain, and so you can treat them like trash, pay them nothing, and make a lot more money . In the end, its not that you make a million dollars a minute profit. Its about pushing it to 2 million a minute, then 3 million and so on. Making a good profit is old school. Now its 10% increase each and every quarter or you are losing money?? If you make profit, you are not losing money. You many not make as much as you would like, but you are not losing. And if your living in a mansion with summer houses and 12 cars, 2 planes and your kids and grandkids are set for life, why do you need to increase your profits that much? I have to admit, I have heard this comment from people I know who own businesses and always hire teens and college kids during the summer. And they usually pay $10+ and hour too. One friend of mine who owns a aircraft detailing company told me that its like these kids expect to be management and have people work for them right off the bat. They think they are to good to use a sponge and a bucket, they think they should be ordering others to do it. Ive actually filled in on some warmer weekends when he is short of help. If these kids would think about it, at $10 bucks and hour, never work nights or in bad weather, your outside , its easy work, and when you hang around airports, you run into and become friends with some pretty impressive people. Not your average Joe or Jane usually owns aircraft these days. Not all jobs are like that, and to tell you the truth, for many they are minimum of minimum wage and

Bush never intended to push for oil production increases. That is the propaganda story to make us feel good about what he is really doing. He signed an agreement to use US forces to protect saudi oil fields, and to supply the saudis with endless supply of US arms, weapons, and solders. And to help them with Nuke plants. Which is really funny, because it really blows his argument that Iran does not need nuke plants as they have oil. I just finally get what he is doing. Its not just about generating power and making more money, but under the law in most states, utilities are required to buy back any excess electricity generated by alternative sources, like wind and solar, and , they usually have to pay the retail rate. It was meant to get homeowners to convert and help support themselves and the grid. But Boone is going to pull an Californian Enron scam! I tried to post before but things here were so slow. You have to be wary of red cross reports and guessitmations. They have in the past falsified and lied about things to get funding. Recent disasters such as Katrina and even 911 are just 2 examples. If you remember at 911 they took millions that they promised to use for 911 , but soon after receiving the funds they changed their minds and used it for non 911 events. Many things promised during Katrina didnt happen, and even more promised after Katrina still has not happened in NO.
I am not saying they are doing it here, but I would approach anything the red cross does with caution. I know during the floods in 93 that some red cross units were actually charging flood victims for water, food. blankets and other items in southern Illinois and Missouri. I was there when that happened.

Wasnt it Elizabeth Dole who was getting 500k a year plus bonuses just for having her name as the Chairman of the Board for the Red Cross 15 years ago? mass transit will reach the point of it even being a feasible alternative in America unless you can change the morals of the American style capitalistic system. Corporations will A: not allow tax money they feel should be theirs to be spent like that and B: corporations who manufacture and supplies, consumables and repairs to the auto industry will fight it tooth and nail.

More fear in the media that is not based on any truth. First of all, the Auto industry killed itself from doing just what American Capitalism and the Ivy League universities the industry leaders were taught. Immediate greed at all cost. The Electric car, 35+mpg cars and other alternative energy cars were not only on the drafting board, but some were already in production. But they saw the huge profits for the SUV, so they pushed billions in advertising on the pigs, and put the cars that may have prevented some of this in the dump.
Then when someone mentioned 35+mpg standards, they screamed it could not be done. But as soon as the gas prices start to slow their profits, their greedy side panics and all of the sudden we are seeing 35+ and alternative autos coming out of the woodwork. They obviously lied because they loved the quick and HUGE profits SUVs brought them. They did not care about the damage it would do to the environment of the economy, they just saw dollar signs and lots of them.
So I hope some of you will think next time you see , say Fords CEO whining on tv about how they care about the environment and are producing cleaner, higher mileage cars now. I think politicians should start doing like sports figures have been doing for years. Wear their sponsorships on their sleeves. They could have it on their campaign buses and corporate supplied jets too. Hillary should have patches on her sleeves of her sponsers, Wal-Mart, Boeing, Lockheed, BlackWater, and so on. Let us at least know what corporations are going to be molding the policies during their presidency if elected. That would give us a better Idea of what the politicians views are than their pandering words. Knowing who actually owns them would really help a lot.

And it sends such a good example for the kids. Who more are growing up having less morals than their cheating parents. Mom and Dad cheats at work, on taxes, steals from work or others, take drugs, drink tons of alcohol, have sex with tons of people. So the kids grow up to not only do this, but add to it. I dont know national statistics, and no real study, not one from a religious or other bias source, that confirms religious couples are more likely to stay married, live longer, or jump higher, whatever, than no religious. If there is a non bias study, I would love to see it. Post it here so I can. but once again, i can only base things off of what I have personally experienced. Sex and money. Those 3 things are the basis of the American Family. Hardly anyone has any dedication to family anymore. Its all about personal fulfillment. How much and how good the sex is. How much money and or material things can one get out of it, Marriage is no longer happening out of love and the want to have a family. From personal experience, many of the women , and even men, I know who have admitted or been caught red handed cheating, were people who claimed to be god fearing Christians and would regularly rant on about God would damn everyone from Gays to Child Molesters and people who cheat on their spouses. 3 I can think of right now use to gaggle on about how they could not believe people could even think of cheating on their spouses, as it was the same as cheating on God. One of the people they were condemning was my now X wife , who at the time was banging any African American man she would be her legs over. Yes, we were still married at the time, and no, I did not know about it until after she had been doing it a while. The point is, at least in my experience, the ones who screamed and condemned others the most , have been the ones who have been unfaithful to their spouses. Granted, my X was in no way religious, so she was the exception to those I know who have cheated on their spouses.

Good god man , the US has been copying the euro designs for years. They even use to use it in to promote themselves in ads. Everyone copies. Its US corporations that expedited the process in China due to their greed. The chinese people are very smart, and very hard working. Even what many Americans would refer to as dumb villagers are usually better educated than most US college grads. I know more Chinese who can name all 50 states and the capitals than I do US college grads. And those are the simple basics here in the US , or use to be. You can run trucks trains and buses on coal oil. The germans did it for year to keep the war going. Its possible, its not that hard to do, and they say we have a couple hundred year supply of coal sitting under our lands. So you could remove a lot of the oil. Its just how you treat change that is the problem. Along with environmental and since most of the oil comes from other countries , we dont care as its not destroying out back yard. Like Iraq, most people are not very upset as they should be, and would be if the same thing was happening here. But as its thousands of miles away and we only see what were allowed to see on TV for 5 minutes each night, we dont really care. Out of sight , out of mind. I would agree with some of what you say. The bible says God gave mankind free will. So you can believe in organized religion out of your personal free will. But that does not give you the right to go against others inherent free will by trying to shove your personal beliefs down everyone elses throats.
