New York Times On McCain Economics: No You Can't

Where does AP bag these superficials? Do they even try to find real reporters to speak on Economics? Or do they accept the first resume that flatters the reader? posted 07/08/2008 at 23:35:56
Hey, it's much easier to bypass those complicated formulas of economics and embrace basic fascism.

Call it trickle down. I call it fascism. It's that stratum that moderately bright folks can embrace and make work and sell to the lessers. It makes money, but it does not by any means understand cause and effect mechanisms of complicated systems. It actually takes thinking, Mr. McCain. Fascism is a cop out.

Mr. McCain: Numb nuts Greenspan coulda, shoulda said "no" to financing the expense of invasion, particularly when practically everyone in the universe knew it was a criminal act and put America in a hole.

Less printing would have shut down the war machine, not accommodated and encouraged it.

Former Secretaries Of State: Scrap War Powers Resolution

We are headed towards a second War of Independence, and these two former Secretary's of State know it.

When the government is no longer responsive to the will of the People, the People must take it back directly and reform from scratch. Congress should have declared war on the Bush dictatorship, but it refused. The junta's crimes against both the Constitution and the world community have placed the People in an untenable position. And our representatives don't seem to appreciate the growing rage against a dysfunctional system that has descended into uselessness.

It's time to hit F5.

I think Philadelphia would be an appropriate place to hold the Constitutional Convention. Would one million armed citizens surrounding the proceedings be sufficient for protection?

Security is the most important element of organized crime. It would have been foolish for the Bushists not to have a strong security apparatus in place in preparation for the 9/11 attack and their Neo Con-engineered response.

What is clear is that the timing of events taken on their own merits alone, go to something other than preventive protection. Security was put in place precisely the same any dictatorship or organized crime syndicate would.

Remember, the first Trade Center attackers were successfully apprehended and prosecuted using existing police/prosecutorial methods. The Bushists wanted far more and, as expected, produced few prosecutions outside of illegal tribunal but plenty of fear- that essential ingredient that drives their military industrial, nationalist socialist machine.

Only a fool or an ideologue would willfully and consistently avoid connecting the dots. Meet the Mob:

Obama must realize that on matters such as Bushist criminal activity and prosectution, there can be no mollification, only justice. As 2009 nears, the People will expect not only indictments to be served but far more than short prison sentences.

There is a reason for the Second Amendment and it is primarily to be used for armed militias protecting the rights of the People against abuses of government. I think you know where this is headed if Obama and his AG play the Mukasey game. If the Bushists avoid prosecution by our elected leaders, then this country must assume matters have degenerated to 1774-5 levels. A new Constitutional Congress can and will be formed.

Allowing Bushists to skate does not make our nation stronger but will destroy it's foundation.

Indict and prosecute or face a million + citizen militia. The last this nation needs is lawlessness set forth from the top. I'm a bit troubled by the reluctance of so many citizens to face this very real possibility. The refrain is deafening, when it should be the clarion call of any true democracy.

The roots of Neo Conservatism:

http://www.light-to-dark.com/lenin_trotsky_strauss_and_kristol.html

and more to the point:

http://www.light-to-dark.com/pox_americana.html

Neo Con ideology is derivative of both right and left extremes. That the Republican Party both hosts and profits from the Leninist/Straussian ideological symbiosis only goes to their unique, blended nature. Remember, the Neo Cons first attempted to invade the Democratic Party and were rejected by Clinton. What is happening today is the realization that the Republican Party has been hijacked.

The Republican Party finds itself in an ideological quagmire that has cleansed over 1.2 million innocents, attacked every pillar of American democracy, and ruined our nation's infrastructure. These truths stand on their own merit and don't need anything but an objective and willing intellect to recognize and appreciate it. posted 07/05/2008 at 12:32:35

Never since the War of Independence has anything been so clear. The criminal acts of the British were as clear then as the criminal acts of the Bush Administration today. We assemble here in much the same way our Founders did in Philadelphia. How dissimilar would it be to the political conditions today where government is actually not by and for the People? Some truths need not be presented in a court of law, only communicated and understood by the People.

Under British rule, the People were not in control of their lives by a government not sympathetic, not tolerant, not democratic, not fair, and not legitimate on it's face...just as it is today, Michale...

It may simply be that some have not placed our country's problems in a historical context. If we the people cannot drag the offenders into court, then we are faced with the same untenable circumstances that faced Franklin, Jefferson, Washington, and Adams.

I respect your position, Michale..., on the nature of the venue where fact finders and verdicts are presented in a functional democracy, but I also feel that you are not appreciating what it was in the 1770's that drove this country to revolution-that the liberty or death state of mind built up over time in response to British criminality was nearly identical to the forces used against us today.

Think before you reply. Timing is everything in a rational, law-based society.

There are too many lines of evidence to support TRex86 comment, and I think you know it. You seem to exist here to stir things up and offer little legitimate argument.

Of course, the entire junta is guilty of acting like war criminals. Only a deaf, dumb, and blind mind would take the alternate position. From outing a CIA agent to relentlessly attacking the Constitution to preparing the fraud-based lethal preemption (with more than topical similarities to the Nazi's Poland invasion) of a country~known to be innocent at the time of attack~one conclusion, and only one conclusion, can be drawn. I will not hold your hand: You must draw your own conclusion.

If you are so naive as to believe the Bush Administration is not acting with willful, malicious disregard for the law and the Constitution, then please, by all means, make a damn fool out of yourself.

It matters not which direction-left or right-that the bullet that kills you came from.

Today's totalitarianism is a two-headed beast. That this is realized in the present day neo conservative movement, goes directly to it's hybridized composition. It is only part Conservative. It's the mongrelized worst case from both worlds, right and left. That seems to be why so many people can't quite define it.

The tendencies and work product are nearly identical, whether created by an authoritarian politburo or an authoritarian imperial dictatorship: The People are enslaved and stripped of their rights.

I am awed by the similarities of present day Jewish nationalist socialist mindsets, like Goldberg's, that recall the old National Socialist Party's lock step mentality of the Nazi era. That the two are even close in their modus operandi is scary to the extreme suggests the lessons of "Never Again" have not been learned by those who would proclaim it the loudest.

Today's neoCons and their sympathizers are attempting to model the American social formulae into a totalitarian state of obedience. Naturally, individuality, reasoned discourse, and propensity for healthy change are sacrificed for the will of the authoritarian state via the group-think concepts inspired by Lenin, Marx, and of course, Hitler.

The one word that comes to mind with respect to Goldberg, is betrayal. Six million innocent Jews died because people of his ilk took over democracy like a cancer, eliminating individuality and creating legions of goose-stepping, rights-crushing tools acting on key and on time. The result, whether it be realized in America or Germany, is precisely the same. So, what is true patriotism by example? What it is not, is clearly defined by those in power today.

All of McCain's Base Belongs to Us: Why It Won't Even Be Close

McCain, Iran, and the Jewish Vote

McCain represents the most radical extension of the military industrial complex. That is nationalist socialism of the purest, most ideological and dangerous form. It is the thing that is attacking the pillars of American democracy. As it grows in strength, individual rights and freedoms weaken as there is a global shift in the wealth distribution curve that favors the Corporation. Today, that Corporation has infiltrated Congress with tentacles reaching deep into McCain's politic.

He now longer represents the individual, which should be of great concern to citizens of Arizona and every citizen in the nation who considers representative government at the heart of our democracy.

McCain modus operandi takes the form of the Likud because it is profitable to do so. His Corporate ties do not prefer negotiated settlements but bottom lines; preemption over peace. Were he to take the position of statesman, he would reflect the wishes of the majority-whether Israeli or American. But then that would diminish profit and allow peace to grow. Corporate would never endorse that. They, not the People of Arizona, call the shots.

Powell Met With McCain And Obama

Colin Powell already left the far right. After watching it commit treason and create a fraudulent preemption, it was a no-brainer. McBush is more of the same lethal Likud/Corporate game play and anyone in their right mind wouldn't give him the time of day.

For his own sake, I hope Powell turned states evidence and would appear wherever trials for war crimes and crimes against the U.S. take place. I hope he still has the right stuff and recalls his oath of office.

None of us knows the truth. What intellectual would dare say they've not vacillated?

It is a Conservative tendency to lock in and lock step, and think, not as individuals, but as robots. Looking at all aspects and constantly appreciating nuance is a Liberal tendency. It is guaranteed that Keith Olbermann will change again and for that, I say he's not a hypocrite but very, very smart.

People like Roger Ailes, Bill O'Reilly, and Rupert Murdoch are incapable of change. That's the main reason why I don't care to waste the time tuning in to the two-dimensional right wing mind set.

Do not allow the f_scists to twist and distort the truth. General Clark must hold firm against the wave of extremism. It is expected. And it will get much worse.

The people who bend an ear to fas_ism can't be reached and it's a waste of calories to try. What America needs right now is unity against fas_ism. Otherwise the screamers, deceivers, and criminals attacking our country will win. They'll win by shear volume and anger and violence because that's how the right communicates. They're like overgrown children having tantrums until they get their way. Their anger always precedes them.

How dare the MSM defend McCain, when from the perspective of a true military leader, he is certainly not qualified to manage a presidency. McCain is a militant corporatist and a liar. Those two characteristics alone, taken at one tenth strength, disqualify McCain.

General Clark is right and should not retract a single syllable of his statement. Shame on a distorting media that has shown a deadly fondness for fa_cism and a total disrespect for honesty.

Senator McCain's $1,300 Lapel Pin

Treating our Flag in such a way is to defile it. Patriotism to the conservative is nothing more than a catch word, and a tool used for conning the not-too-particular. The entire Bush junta glistens with red, white, and blue, and, as any Fa_cist entity has shown, defaces that which our Founding Fathers and tens of thousands died for.
