Olbermann To Bush: "This War Is Not About You...Shut The Hell Up!"

Keith has been telling it like it is for many years. Sadly, a majority of the American people haven't been listening. Thanks, Keith, for saying it out loud!! posted 05/15/2008 at 09:05:34

Clinton's Open Letter To Obama On MI and FL

Write the DNC now and tell them the rules should NOT be broken mid game. Do NOT seat these delegates or the Party will never have control over the primaries again. Please write - we need to deluge the DNC with our emails. posted 05/09/2008 at 09:20:10

Florida Dems: Plan To Seat Delegates Almost Complete

We can all send an email to the DNC re: this issue. Tell them that changing the rules will subvert any ability to control the primaries in the future. This should not even be an issue - the rules are the rules. Please contact them now. posted 05/09/2008 at 09:06:56

George McGovern Switches To Obama, Urges Clinton To Drop Out

I so agree, metalpipe. It is time for someone who can promote idealism and who better than the youthful Obama? Yes, he may be inexperienced, but let's take a look at the last eight years and evaluate what the "experienced" politicians did for this country and its people. I will not recite the unending list beginning with a war we can't win and 1000's of our soldiers dead, etc. And for those who compare Obama to Carter - perhaps Jimmy Carter will share his wealth of experience with Obama to help him avoid the mistakes he made.
It is time to move forward. Last night, Obama reconnected with his message of hope, and in today's world, that is what we all need. Don't look to him to solve the problems. He will be looking to the American people and a host of experts to get us out of the mire of the last administration. And we must all be willing to commit because we allowed ourselves to be deceived and run over for the last eight years. These are tough times, America, and we will have to dig deeply together to get ourselves right again. posted 05/07/2008 at 12:10:40

Why Couldn't Hillary Close the Deal?

I would not be happy to know that my Obama contribution went to pay off Hillary. Per blogger, altohone, Clintons have enough money to pay their own debts. That might not be the high road for party unity, but I'm an Obama supporter, not a Kool Aid drinking "party at all costs" (no pun) supporter. posted 05/07/2008 at 08:39:41

Hillary Clinton Loan Suspected, Campaign "Close To Broke"

Clinton Camp Says It Will Use The Nuclear Option

I think it would behoove the Obama campaign to bring this "change of heart" out to the voters. After all, is this a map of things to come if HRC is president - changing her mind when it suits her??? posted 05/05/2008 at 14:42:13

Clinton Gas Tax Holiday: Hillary Attacks Economists

Clinton only cares about Clinton. Seems like we have been here before (say, the last 8 years?) Does it surprise anyone that so many Americans can't see through the veil of illusion? I've been in recent discussions with people who still think Iraq caused 911!!! Until people start taking responsibility for their own education and actions, we will be stuck with a pandering, lying and cheating, deceiving government whose basic interests are self-promotion and big corporations. Go Obama!!! posted 05/05/2008 at 09:17:27

Clinton-Backing Senator Bemoans Media's Scandal Coverage

I have been emailing the cable news stations this am, expressing my disgust with the blatant bias they direct toward Senator Obama. Just look at the headline on CNN.com. I suggested, as we all should, that they run a story on Clinton v Paul - or better yet, start reporting the news. How refreshing that would be.

The Big Picture

You said it, Walldog. While I was a news junkie three months ago, I have sinced ceased watching CNN and am also on the brink of tuning out MSNBC. (I stopped watching national and local channels a long time ago) Reading HuffPo gives me badly needed faith that there are "thinking" people out there who have shared my sentiments for the last eight years. Thank you for your post. posted 05/01/2008 at 09:21:01

You are not the only one fed up with what they call cable "news". I have written msnbc every day. THEY are the ones keeping the Rev. Wright fiasco alive. But where is the news on healthcare? Or the profit of Iraq's oil industry last month while WE pay the bill for restoration. It's pathetic. I'm ready to hit the speaking trail myself. Look out Norma Rae!!! posted 04/30/2008 at 21:45:33

Was Race a Strong Factor in Clear Clinton Win in Pennsylvania?

I have to agree with the author that race is the issue. The average blue collar worker is still bogged down in prejudice. Unfortunately, that means 4 more years of McBush. Hillary will not, cannot win in the fall. That is why the Republicans are pulling out the race card in North Carolina today. They can't wait to put her away in the fall.
It is beyond my comprehension how the majority of Americans can evaluate the state of our country and still select the establishment. posted 04/23/2008 at 08:33:21

Thoughts on Pennsylvania, Clinton and Obama from a "Realisticrat"

Why do you think the Repubs are speaking to the North Carolina press today? They are setting Barack up to lose and Hillary to win because they know they CAN beat Hillary. And they will - your logistics are good, but it's 4 more years if Hillary gets the nomination. posted 04/23/2008 at 08:47:10

Where Is the League of Women Voters When We Need Them?

Whatever excitement and hope I had at the beginning of this campaign has waned considerably. Bombings kill nearly 60 in Sunni areas of Iraq

How do we say it any louder? I have tried the democratic way, writing my Congressman, my Senator. I spoke my mind before the war - those within my own family wouldn't listen. I have written Bush - over and over and over. My bitterness....my frustration is rooted in exactly what Obama has said - there's NOBODY listening.
