Bio
An avid writer, performer, and musician, Kym pulls from an extensive background in fiction, poetry, and technical writing, event production, environmental activism, editing and public relations. She completed her first novel (AMAZON QUEEN) after living on a 63 foot houseboat offshore from Sausalito and has continued to find work as a word smith from her home in Sonoma County, California. Kym is a full-time single mom of two outrageously cool kids. She currently hosts the weekly Feisty Females radio show at KOWS 107.3 (www.kows.fm from 11am to 1pm every Friday) out of Occidental. For 13 years, Ms. Trippsmith worked as the Editor-in-Chief for the Global Investment Research Corp., pumping out countless manuals and seven hardback books (published by John Wiley & Sons). Previously she worked as a technical writer and editor for the Resource Dynamics Corp. creating until her job was outsourced to India promotional materials for various energy-related clients including Pacific Gas & Electricâs/Amory Lovinsâ ACT2 project. Returning to her roots as a solo artist, Kym Trippsmith writes songs with fearless lyrics, with the unique ability to communicate a variety of social issues with upbeat humor and genuine spirit and is just about to release a new CD called RISE UP! (www.feistyfemales.net/mamazon.htm). She is the host of the âFeisty Females,â a collective of amazing West Coast female singer/songwriters who perform together in various combinations at festivals, nightclubs and special events. Kym graduated from the Evergreen State College in Olympia WA in 1982 with a double major in theater production and environmental science. She currently runs a rainwater harvesting and graywater garden installation business (www.aprainwaterharvesting.com) while raising two outrageously cool kids Kym is a catalyst for all who meet her. She has and always will be passionate about life, music, dance, and the environment that sustains us all.
