Bio
Born 1947. Educated in in both the Catholic/parochial, military dependent, and public school systems. Father was WW2 and Korean veteran and career officer having served in the RCAF and RAF as a Bomber pilot and in the USAAF in N. Africa completing 30 consecutive months of combat service. I served my four years in the USAF after getting my BA in European history.

I have a masters in teaching English as a second language and am on the final leg of my work towards a PhD. I have taught undereducated adults for 18 years.

One set of parents was blue and white collar and the other upper middle class both sets working in the tire and Rubber industry. I come by my liberalism honestly raised by socially conscious parents and nuns who stressed social equality.

At middle age I have been through the trials of the 1950's fears of atomic bombs and middle class fears of a hippie nation undoing progress. My views have been shaped as much by the Sputnik uproar in education as they have been after watching the South trash Black Americans' struggles for equality in the 5O's and 60's.

Under the strict tutelage of my first wife and her friends I had my consciousness "raised" during the early Women's Liberation Movement.

I have worked both in business and industry and government contract service as a photographic technician. I have traveled both to Japan and Europe.

I read extensively in philosophy, both Eastern and Western religions, Science fiction, and history.Married twice, I have become philosophical about human relationships.

My family entered the US in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries as immigrants.

I consider myself a Kennedy Democrat and support the idea that government should work towards the betterment of the human condition through collective action. I believe that business can be predatory and should be regulated against abuses, but that those who can work should and should fulfill their duties as responsible adults and citizens.

I believe in the US Constitution and believe that religion should be left at home and in personal conscience. I also fear that in our ignorance we will allow Fascism to become the form of government we accept in our desire to be left alone to let the military-industrial complex run the country while putting in place puppet presidents to keep the facade of democracy in place while they rob the nation of its honor and treasure, not t mention blood in wars for global resources.
