Tennessee GOP Attacks Michelle Obama, Obama Camp Hits Back

Can't waif for the MSM to interview Joe Watkins and all the other right-leaning people of color. I wonder how they will respond? If they take the Repubs to task on this, they Repubs will show them the exit from the big tent sans their contributions. I don't care which party it is, right is right and wrong is wrong. This is wrong. For all their sybolism and displays of disingenious patriotism, they villify an American because she is honest enough to admit the times when she has not been proud of her country. I am 54 years old. There's a difference between surviving a struggle and being proud of a system in a nation that makes that struggle so hard you lose pride in your country right along with your own. There is a difference between loving your country and not feeling proud. What makes the Repubs feel they have the market cornered on what constitutes pride? posted 05/15/2008 at 16:31:54

Bush Uses Holy Land Pulpit to Launch Smear Campaign

Not a fan of Begala but he speaks for me on this one. There are so many of our current elected officials and "public servants" who need to just call it a day. Trust me...this nation and its inhabitants can and will survive without you. posted 05/15/2008 at 15:27:57

Bush Compares Obama To Nazi Appeasers

I have every confidence the voters in this nation will rescue us from these idiots by electing a Democratic President. I am independent. Why don't they just realize the whole workd is watching us. Many are making some of the most insane arguments for their actions and statements. No wonder the Repubs are slowly being swept out of office. Now we being assured of remaining in a state of war until at least 2013 when an aged man promises he will find and kill a terroist who should have been the prime target even before 9/11. No wonder many of us at the grassroots level have no confidence in our government. We are being held hostage by a coalition of self-absorbed, immature hacks (on both sides of the aisle, who pander to special interest groups and their own egos. Joe Lieberman is perhaps the biggest embarassment. I look for him to officially cross over soon. Character, integrity, honesty, responsibility, etc have been eclipsed by secret agendas, misplaced loyalty, veiled criminal activity, and covering for one another. Is it any wonder most Gen-Xs are so desperate for change? Can't wait for Inaugration Day. posted 05/15/2008 at 13:34:32

Edwards Poverty Campaign Met With Media Blackout

As a hard-working, under-paid, non-degreed person of color, with two daughters in college, journalist and physican, who has never found the "bootstraps" the Repubs keep talking about...this is a quid-pro-quo I can get behind. I'm tired of being depressed, hungry, stressed, and oppressed. I am politically savvy, despite all of this. WE NEED CHANGE! Go Obama/Edwards! posted 05/15/2008 at 15:02:41

Union Leaders' Clash Over Dem Endorsements A Sign Of Racial Polarization

So many of you do buy into HRC's comments abouts hard-working Americans...white Americans. Well, there are many hard-working people of color, Asians, Latinos, African Americans, who pay dues to labor unions...all of them are green. If the weren't so much fear of the Clinton machine, this particular union would have waited, like the UAW and the IAFF, until the nomination process was complete. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize the Dem nomination process was going to go the way it has. If McEntee wasn't so focused on his own personal agenda, he would have been astute enough to recognize the Clinton machine was running out of steam long before this electiojn cycle. Its not like having access to the Clintons was empowering this bargaining unit to make things better for the rank-and-file. Our municipal employees get screwed all the time. People of color are not leavinbg this country. It belongs to all of us. The sooner it is accepted and we all look out for one another, the better off will be as a nation and perhaps our reputation as a true superpower will be restored. But then, you can elect McBush and we can keep sending our husbands, wives, sons, and daughters to fight an unnecessary war. posted 05/15/2008 at 14:02:01

Even The Racists Are Deserting Hillary

Sometimes we meet individuals of an ilk that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck, you know a scary person of one sort or another. Never have met Billary. Observed them from a grassroots level. HRC's conduct in this campaign has really scared me so I decided to grab a book about her which she hadn't written. Did my best to get an objective one with reliable sources, "The Truth About Hillary...What She Knew, When She Knew It, How Far She'll Go to Become President.". Many are involved in her current campaign: McAuliffe, Ickes, Carville, Williams, Penn. There are several references to her playbook,(1) Never allow yourself to be a victim, (2) If somebody hits you, hit him or her back harder, (3) Stay in control of your own destiny. There are a lot of people who owe Hillary, there are even more people who are afraid of her...really afraid. Voters should not be afraid. We should not have to be afraid for those who made a conscious decision, long ago, to place themselves in her line of fire. If HRC didn't have the presence of mind to add "you can fool some of the people all of the time, all people some of the time, but never, all people, all of the time to her playbook...her bad! She may steal this nomination from Sen. Obama. The Repubs are not afraid of her. They are of the same ilk. posted 05/15/2008 at 14:46:11

West Virginia Primary: Good Morning America Meets An Uninformed Voter

A prime example of why there are so many comments of the ignorant, backwards, inbred nature in that region. Now, I ask you, why should Sen. Obama have gone into W. VA more than he did? Many of these people are not going to consider voting for Sen. Obama under any circumstances. Sen. Obama is not Mr. Bojangles. He does not have to dance as fast as he can for the entertainment of people who don't even consider him a human being just because he's a person of color runnung for President and they hold a vote. Some things should not be compromised. If there are those who believe he is not worthy of their vote because he chose not to reduce himself to begging people who would have stopped short of spitting in his face or because, once again, Hillary Clinton decided that's what he should have done to prove himself the better candidate...I don't think most of those in their ivory towers that could survive in the real world... down here with all us hard-working....people of all colors with pride and dignity. posted 05/15/2008 at 16:04:10

Tavis Smiley Reportedly Quits Radio Show Over Obama Hate

Tavis probably has more access to info about the Clintons than most. I have never heard him question Billary about Peter Paul Franklin, the secret donor list, Columbian President Aribe. I have never heard Tavis question Billary on why Sen Obama is responsible for the rhetoric of Rev. Wright. I have never heard him question why he believes it is acceptable for Billary to treat Sen. Obama as it he is some steppin' fetchin' Mr. Bojangles and they set the standard and qualifications for him. They have redefined patriotism as it relates to Sen. Obama just as Slick Willy redefined "is" and "sex" for our nation's youth. Was it "patriotic" for a sitting President to conduct himself in the White House with a twenty-something female in the manner he did, yet expect the public to coddle his 20-something daughter.? Did he express disdain for the inferences that have been made by her supporters regarding his name? The media continues to assign us to candidates. Vote for whom you choose. Some will vote for Sen. Obama primarily because he is black. There are numerous voters who support HRC because she is Caucasian and wouldn't vote for a color of person if their life depended on it. It is notable that the African Americans who support Hillary are portrayed somehow as more astute and worthy, unlike an African American who supports Sen. Obama. Why is that? posted 04/12/2008 at 00:35:44

Bill Clinton To Obama Campaign: "Let's Just Saddle Up And Have An Argument"

Bill and Hillary "saddled up" a long time ago. Their arguments have consisted of sensationalism, lies, half-truths, and most despicable of all, racebaiting. Hillary's latest "I misspoke" excuse is beyond explanation. She and Bill are little more than reprobates. Let's argue about their involvement with Peter Paul Franklin and the pending civil lawsuit against them in Los Angeles Superior court. It is baffling that they are such meglomaniacs that they believe they control the entire Democratic party. The FL and MI delegates should not be seated at the convention. The electoral college is for Presidential elections, not the Dem nomination process. She needs to go sit down and shut her mouth. This nation will be a long time recovering from the racebaiting and racially-coded rhetoric on the campaign trail. He sense of entitlement is the result of her husband's philandering. She had a choice of husbands...she should have dumped Bill as opposed to believing her tolerance would be rewarded with the Presidency. It is unfortunate that many women in America can only find validation for supporting HRC by deferring to the "stand-by-your-man" school of thought. Are we to define this as the new forgiveness to our children and young adults? I, for one, refuse! posted 03/26/2008 at 17:23:24

Hillary Clinton's Bosnia Story A Hit On YouTube!

Everyone should Google "Peter Franklin Paul". Take a look at the million-plus civil suit against the Clintons i Los Angeles Superior court. Why won't one of the Clinton-enabling media members out this? posted 03/26/2008 at 17:27:49

Hillary Says She 'Misspoke' About Wrestling Bin Laden

I cannot believe the media continues to cover Bill and Hill's deplorable and despicable behavior during this campaign all in the names of ratings and sensationalism. Has anyone in the media taken a look at the civil lawsuit playing out in Los Angeles Superior court involving the Clintons and Peter Franklin Paul? Why is no one taking a look at that? I am out here in the Midwest and friends from LA are calling and emailing me for over a week. I encourage my fellow bloggers Google "Peter Franklin Paul" and look at that. We need to hold HRC's feet to the fire. It is obvious Sen. Obama is commited to remaining above the "politics as usual" by attempting to not go negative. The media is allowing HRC to continue to set the standard for this campaign. As a mother of 20-somethings I am deeply concerned they may revert back to apathy or cynasism due to the tone of this campaign set by HRC. But, there are those of us who are experienced with these types of campaigns. Let's all empower ourselves by shining the light on Bill and Hill's shenanigans. posted 03/26/2008 at 17:08:50
