How can you *possibly* compare a fight against a country who attacked us on December 7, 1941 and against a man who was steamrolling over Europe and murdering Jews by the millions to a discretionary war for oil and Halliburton? As Olbermann would say, how dare you, sir? How dare you! Those men died in WWII so that Europe could be free and to make sure that those who died that Sunday morning in Hawaii did not die for nothing. Each and every soldier who fought on both fronts deserves much more than what your twisted worldview gives them. Much more.

What FDR showed is that democrats can fight a war when the cause is honorable and just, and the US has fought no war more honorable and just than WWII since the 1770's. It was not fought because the VP was a former CEO of a major military contractor, it was fought because the fate of an entire continent hung in the balance.
