I struggle to write something meaningful about myself (here), as I also do like the element of anonymity and complete freedom of expression, apart from well meaning moderators. I sometimes wonder if Big Brother is paying any attention to our expressions in the blogs . . . Who knows? Do THEY even care about us? being so busy torturing, casting war on others and amassing great (stolen) wealth . . .
Background: Grew up in upper middle class family. Father (a MD), Mother (a nurse) and two sisters (both nurses). I did not follow in the family footsteps, the medical field. I struggle with basic aspects of modern medical practices, with much research and life practice, prefer a balance of traditional, holistic and integrative practices. I sometime wonder if I should have completed schooling for the health care field.
At times, the politics of (present) corporate world sucks nearly as badly . . .
as the insurance, politics and nature of healthcare system in general.
That said, I choose creative media in the arts including facets of newer camera, video-camera, computer for much of my career. My work has evolved over many years I worked in the graphic arts and photography, now I am closely involved with imaging technology and marketing side of things. you might say that I support the creative and storytelling process, rather than doing creative work and process. I work for a Global - International fortune 100 company which is among the top 10 most recognized brand names . . .
How DID I get here to Huffington Post? I while reasonably sophisticated
(I can reason many things in life), I am NOT particularly good with economics, finance and politics. Never really have been. I like an idiot trusted the system, put meaningful (but admittedly, regretful) amount of money into 401K. I would entire bypassed the entire 401k / Retirement / Ponzified Stock Market System and could have paid of a house or had multiples of Mercedes(s) or Porsche(s) in the garage. I would rather have pissed the money away on my own. I am bitter about this
My perspectives have increased after I started reading, spending A LOT of time in news blogs. My partner, has often said that she would like to see me more actively interested in the NEWS. I was absolutely fed-up with MSM drivel. Bought and paid for by *the system* that is consuming everything in site.
We are not getting real news - it was mostly faux news
and programming, useless infotainment, fluff....crap!
Even the ABC, CBS and NBC primetime totally sucks.
Will not even watch faux Fox for anything . . .
Reading the BLOGS here has nearly been life changing, certainly MAJOR perspective shifts have occurred with the collective awareness, perspectives and opinions that are prevalent here. I owe great thanks to a great many here sharing their ideas, enlightening others here. And to think that I nearly just happened across this forum.
Looking back, I HAD always considered a republican, the Bush (crime family) Administration(s) single handedly changed that for me, FOREVER. I am completely disgusted with the majority of things that make up the current Re THUG Lick Can't party. They have grown pathetic.
