Why Jeremiah Wright Is Willing To Destroy Barack Obama; This Campaign Really Is Generational

Amen. Rev. Wright is old school. And he deserves a measure of respect, as the old school always does. But he's seriously flunking out of the New School. In fact, he should be expelled. Everyone who clings to identity politics will be passed over for something new.

It's true, these horribly unjust divides still exist, there is no doubt in my mind that if Sean Bell had not been black he would be alive today. But racial divisiveness is not the way forward. The way forward is Barack Obama. His message IS who he is. I am not a black man. I am not a white man. I am not as divided as my race(s) suggest. I am new thing. And so much of this globalized world is in fact made up of that new thing.

Let's empower this new era here in America today.

If not, America goes the way of the Dodo.

Islamic fundamentalists, evangelical christians, racist cops, good ol' boys, disconnected Bubbas, Soccer Moms, ALL OF THEM (us?) have their identity politics too. We must evolve.

The msm is clinging to their last rites too. Let's usher them out and their last gasping bursts of rabble rousing ratings-mongering talking idiocy. The space between commercials will not be revolutionized. Time to turn off the box.

Seriously people, in the words of James Brown, "We got to GET OVER, before we GO UNDER!"

No Laughing Matter: Obama Has Real Problems With Voters He Needs in November

This is an increasingly difficult problem, both Obama and Clinton are not so popular with key demographics that they both need to win in November.

The main question is what to do about it. A few things as a given: 1) Clinton can't win the nomination, it's out of her reach in so many ways. (So what, in fact, IS she campaigning for? 2) Obama can't just sit by and lose Ohio, PA and Florida in the General to McCain.

What to do? It seems clear that the democratic leadership has to do this TOGETHER. Bush wreaked such havoc on us for the last 8 years we really have to all get in this fight. Obama, Both Clintons, Al Gore, everyone. Not a single one of these people can stay home for a day from July until November. They've all got to be out there as a coalition campaigning their guts out. We need them all and we need them all to get their acts together and kick ass.

I really hope that the Clintons will see this (as well as seeing the mistakes they made early on in caucus states-- underestimating Obama's Grassroots campaign and their problems with campaign budgeting, leaving them broke or vastly behind in key areas as their own fault and not something to hold against the Nominee) and roll up their sleeves for all of our good. posted 04/26/2008 at 14:59:15

Hillary Get Your Gun

I'm an Obama volunteer. I can attest to the fact that his and our attempts to reach out to PA voters who were undecided WAS working. We saw a big swing in his direction last week. The economic message was starting to take root. There was a fragile base of people daring to actually start to be optimistic again, after so many years of being totally ignored. Now, I fear they are all going to swing back to the politics of fear and division.

Now, Obama should have just said, it IS working. And left it at that instead of trying to explain how republican wedge issues have made voters take sides against their own economic interests. It was badly worded. But this attack from Hillary is terribly damaging to all of us on the Democratic side.

Hillary Clinton has brought is straight to hell.

I can't believe the cold calculating cynicism on display here. I always liked Bill and Hillary, I have to admit. But not anymore.

Please, my fellow PA voters, see this for what it is. An attempt by an amoral power-hungry political family trying to play at your fears to get your votes.

That move to Obama last week was the right one.

Watch: Obama On Annie Oakley

That is simply not true.

We cannot allow duck hunters and small towns to continue to hijack American progress via Karl Rove "wedge issue" politics. If we do, we're totally lost for sure. We need to grow up.

If duck hunters and small town mindsets continue to steer this nation (as they have for the last 8 years) it will continue it's descent into a place truly not worth living in. Obama lifts the debate out of the mire. We deserve it.

And I live and vote in PA. posted 04/14/2008 at 01:04:43
First Hillary is ducking snipers and now she's sniping duckies!

What's with all this pandering?

Let's MOVE ON to higher ground.

Clinton Becomes A Gun Lover

This is turning out to be a real referendum on the state of America, not just PA. McClintoncain vs someone who actually speaks the truth.

Other things that could beat McCain in Nov include:

An old sock
A blown spare tire
A can of lard
A wood tick
A worn out shoe
A marshmallow peep
A piece of navel lint
Some old wierd fuzzy stuff at the bottom of a closet
A dead trout
A moldy tomato
A half eaten fig newton
A wicker basket filled with notions
An old cow
A young cow
A middle aged cow
A piece of dirt

There, that made me feel better. posted 04/10/2008 at 01:59:14
