Traces of who I am and what I value color my writing.
My life has taken some curious turns, but a rich vein of constants keeps me grounded and grateful for each moment, each experience. I'm in awe of Nature having grown up in the shadow of the Sierra Nevada (which also makes me a devotee of John Muir) and have a great respect for Planet Earth. Although my spiritual home is California, my native state no longer serves as the lens through which I view the world. My lens has become a kaleidoscope, and not one of illusion either.
Perhaps it's one of whimsy. :)
A Berserkeley alumna, I eschewed hairy armpits and legs (my own) while in college, and to this day retain an aversion to patchouli oil. I'm still a vegetarian, however, and probably always will be.
My screen name is simply a combination of my favorite flower, and my work...
I am a harp therapist.
My best friend is a Scots-Canadian SW with big feet and an even bigger heart (I love you, Scottie dear), and I am doing my best to raise my children to be compassionate, loving, courageous individuals.
Currently, I'm working on a website for harp therapy. I travel where my harp and my heart take me.
"When you begin to touch your heart or let your heart be touched, you begin to discover that it's bottomless, that it doesn't have any resolution, that this heart is huge, vast, and limitless. You begin to discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, as well as how much space." ~P. Chodron
