Swimmers ear is mostly caused by ecoli and other bacteria in the water getting into the ear and the immune system not quite prevailing--- it doesn't actually have anything to do with whether you sit in the sun after you swim or not, poetic license notwithstanding. Since they don't actually have sun or swimming in London, I guess we can be forgiving of a certain level of imagination on the entire subject from this particular source. Nurtra Biotics grapefruit seed extract in eardrop form (you can get it at Whole Foods... if you live in California where we actually do have a lot of swimming and sun) or heated olive/garlic oil in the ears are the best home remedies I have run across in years and years of swimming in public pools. Tea tree oil is fantastic for curing Athelete's foot and helps with insect bites as well You can get little applicator sticks at Trader Joes... (if you live in California). iPhone Frenzy, This Time Around It's About the Apps

The iphone is actually LESS than a phone, as far as that goes. It sucks.its slippery and totally dangerous to use in the car, requiring 2 hands and sustained eye contact to use. so i don't. turns its own ipod on for no apparant reason (their tech support knows about this but hasn't got a solution) and runs the battery down. Adds every single contact in my computer whether I want it to or not. Loses phone numbers I put into it when i sync it. Says it works with my outlook calendar (one of my conditions for buying it) but actually doesn't. Crashed my entire system when I first attempted to activate it. Intermittently downloads email but then content of the message is not there. Doesn't work overseas. Cannot survive being dropped so I have to be ultra careful of this slippery little thing. The ONLY thing I like about it is that I can make the screen big enough to see. If a blackberry could do that- i would change in a heartbeat, even though it is a lot of work to change over to anything new. I might anyhow. Should Airlines Give Bottled Water to Flyers?

my idea is- have free filtered water taps at all the gates or restrooms with bottles available for those who don't have an empty one they brought thru security (they will mostly let you hang on to an empty). This would reduce the bottles, yet make filtered water available. Then the only hitch is for a really longggg flight. Then you need a few and where would you put them?
