Former Republican - I waivered during the impeachment of President Clinton, but positively ceased at the nomination of GWB in 1999. Now, firmly independent as I believe both parties are inherently corrupt and only serving the monied interests.
I am a social liberal, fiscal conservative (you know, the old "give a man a fish, but teach him to fish also so you don't ever have to give him another fish" kind of philosophy).
Middle aged, happily married, 2 young sons. My family is blessedly healthy, housed, and fed. Born and raised in Indiana, I have lived in Ohio, Texas, California and currently Maryland. I make my living in hi-tech, and each passing day scares me more as we are losing our ability to invent and build things at an astonishing pace.
