The reason Obama gets such a high Black vote is that almost all blacks are against the war -- they are voting -- as a group for the anti-war candidate. At least they started doing that once they thought a black man had a chance to win.

1. Your interpretation of history and the triumph of the West in Vienna is so simplistic it makes my teeth hurt. Who knows what might have happened if Islam had moved further West. Maybe it would have had a Reformation and it would have been liberal by now. Maybe if that had happened, a "Christan" nation like Germany might not have slaughtered 10 million people in WW II. Revisionist history is a tricky biz.

3. For Americans to stay in a Middle Eastern country that we invaded for any longer than necessary is just plain stupid. I think that, no matter how uncomfortable it is, Obama had to end up addressing "class." This issue hurt Kerry and many other Dem candidates.

Second, read Barack's first book -- that tells you more about Obama than Hillary has revealed about herself in all the years she has been in public life. Hillary has always been about "hiding" and "holding back." How else could a woman stay married for so long to a serial adulterer?
