Lewinsky Questioner: I Was Surprised By Chelsea's Response

I am no Clinton supporter, but asking Bubba's daughter about her fathers impropriety was RUDE. And to call is rude is to be generous. I would be much harsher, but I don't know who might be reading this thread.

Samantha Power Unapologetic About Iraq Remarks, Hints At Return

Kim445588, your comment is so enlightening. I feel as though I know so much more about you. Thanks for the insight.

As for Ms Power, she said nothing that Senator Obama has not said from the start.

We will be as careful getting out as we were careless getting in.

It does not take a Harvard graduate to figure out that means he will not remove troops if it means it is unwise at the time.

No one, however, can doubt his commitment to bring our troops home. posted 03/26/2008 at 20:24:36

Hillary Clinton Compares Jeremiah Wright To Don Imus

At least Rev. Wright while wrong about some of his contentions did not intentionally deceive his audience.

I thought Senator Clinton was running against Senator Obama, not his pastor.

Mmmmm, anybody got any tapes of Senator Clinton and her pastor? Does she even have a pastor?

What religion is she anyway? posted 03/26/2008 at 20:29:40

"The View" Heats Up Over Racism, Whoopi Declares, "This Is A Racist Country"

Duh, with good reason. They ALL have a well deserved reputation for being vacuous and shallow, not very good typists (all ways painting their nails) and worst of all, most of them aren't even REALLY blond. posted 03/24/2008 at 20:21:40

I could be wrong, but It seems that since Obama has reached over 1 million contributers and no longer has any need for corporate funding his coverage by the corporate press has become increasingly hostile. posted 03/24/2008 at 19:46:18

Another Bill Clinton Moment On The Campaign Trail

anger does not equal hatred.

Don't make the mistake that ancient china did about Japan. Waring factions that have much in common have no problem coming together against a common foe. posted 03/22/2008 at 15:30:17
Anger is not hate.

Anger is not bigotry.

Anger is not racism.

When faced with injustice, when faced with OBVIOUS "perceived" wrong and/or danger ANGER is not only appropriate but its absence would be bewildering.

I admire men (and women) who do not stand by and say nothing when they see things happening that they think are wrong. I even admire them when they themselves are mistaken. It takes the courage of a MARINE, to take a stand - right or wrong and accept the consequences.

It is easy to understand what Obama sees in Rev Wright. It is not so easy to see what Hillary supporters see in Bill Clinton. posted 03/22/2008 at 14:09:36
I think it is time for Hill and Billy to just come out with it and endorse McCain.

I can't think of anyone out there lately that has done more to support his campaign. posted 03/22/2008 at 13:08:08
I have not seen anything that would suggest that the snippits we have seen repeated every hour for the last week was a regular part of the sermons at Obama's church. In fact the one sermon that I watched in its entirety (the one after 9/11), the one where he used the chicken statement. I think that most informed americans would be inclined to agree with what Rev. Wright was saying.

If america is going to rely on FOX news for all its soundbites, we might as well get used to the idea of another Bush term in the Whitehouse. Most americans do not want that to happen, and you can make no mistake thinking that FOX and there friends are hard at work to do anything and everything possible to prevent the majority of americans from getting the representation they need and deserve.

Turn on any news channel, wait for 45 minutes and you will be treated to a picture of Rev. Wright in the background.

Clinton had an opportunity to reach out to a fellow democrat that she will either be endorsing in the fall or expecting the endorsement of in the fall. Instead of defending a fellow democrat we get what has become the typical Clinton speak.

"He gave a good speech"

And then the silence until now when we hear from Billy.

I think it is time for everyone to see Hill-Billy for what they are.

Oops, does that sound like Hillbilly? My mistake I did not mean to disparage the reputations of my family from the Ozark mountains. posted 03/22/2008 at 12:35:55

What Barack Obama Could Not (and Should Not) Say

For some reason, Americans are some of the most religious people in the world. While I make no judgment about this being a good or a bad thing, I do think that in a republic where so many of its citizens have a deep rooted belief in god, that you cannot simply dismiss those beliefs.

I have often said that it is not enough to be right. Humans are social animals and as such without consensus, without getting people to work together, you will accomplish nothing.

In fact, you can get more accomplished doing things the wrong way with everyone working together than you can doing things the right way with everyone at odds with one another.

My point is that if you do not respect religion in a country with a broad base of religious belief, you won't get very far, and you won't get much done. posted 03/23/2008 at 21:32:54

Obama, Clinton And McCain's Passports Breached: Two State Dept Officials Fired, Investigation Underway

Don't worry, Fox news has already reported the story, pronounced it dead on arrival and started playing the Rev Wright video every 5 minutes, just in case you have not seen it yet.

This happened to Clinton and there was a special investigator assigned to the case.

Yes, it changes the subject again.

Changes it from the economy, health insurance, the mortgage crisis, inflation, the war in Iraq, climate change ...

Lets all forget about those things, lets ignore what the candidates are saying and spend all our time looking at their supporters.

Lets distract ourselves with anything and everything, EXCEPT the things that effect our daily lives and the well being of our children and grandchildren. posted 03/20/2008 at 21:11:00
