grew up in the SF Bay Area... Bachelor's in Political Science & Int'l Relations from SCU, magna cum laude, phi beta kappa. i have more gold stars available upon request. (i used to really care about gold stars.) i found my true home in Toronto, Ontario, before being banished to the OC by what i can only assume is bad karma. currently enjoying (though not enjoying the benefits-of) dual citizenship. married, no kids, Progressive left-of-Democrat. recovering Xtian. massage therapist by trade. i was a Kucinich girl who came over to the Obama camp after the primaries. i don't know what i would do without KPFK, Pacifica radio.

integrity and intellectual honesty are ideals that i strive for, but it's funny how we all have blindspots. Thomas Jefferson is a good example of this and a personage that i find utterly fascinating. i love sociopolitical discourse because it forces me to really clarify where i stand on issues that i say are important to me. justifications are a waste of time, as is passing judgment on others. ad hominem attacks are lazy and boring. generosity of spirit is magnetic; meanspiritedness is gross.

like most human beings, i don't fit comfortably into pigeon holes. that being said, stuffwhitepeoplelike.com makes me cringe and laugh at the same time. make of that what you will. ;)
