Questioning Hillary Clinton's 'Victory' in Pennsylvania: The Rush Limbaugh Effect

So disingenous...but what is new.

Yes, R.L is having fun. So what.

If the dems allow an open primary, then expect someone to take advantage.

But to assume all the republicans are voting for HRC because of what Rush says is disingenuous.

There are republicans out there as well as independents that actually prefer HRC to Obama..and McCain.

I find it sad that when republicans vote for Obama- it's wonderous, but when they vote for HRC they are slimed as repugs by some Obama supporters.

A new kind of politics..I don't think so. posted 05/05/2008 at 23:02:43

On My Switch From Clinton to Obama

Very sad.

Although both are good people, Clinton is far the better candidate.

If we lose in Nov with Obama, you will have no one to blame but yourself.

Just add another name to the list: Dukakis, Gore, Kerry...Obama.

Most aren't buying Obama's Wright excuses- for someone so bright, how could he be so unaware.

Politics as usual. posted 05/01/2008 at 18:32:58

Clinton: Afghanistan needs more US attention

I think it would be great to see a debate a la a Lincoln-Douglas format.

Obama and Clinton have only debated 4 times sans Edwards et al. And if I'm not mistaken, there was an uproar from Obama's camp about what wasn't discussed at the last debate.

I would like to hear an in depth debate about their healthcare policies.

And it is important to understand their foreign policy differences- the world is ever-changing requiring vigilant reevaluation.

The economy is tanking...and people are losing their businesses and homes. I'm sure a lot of people are dying to hear who is going to fight for them.

Although Senator Obama is in the lead, that lead is tenuous at best. And perception is all important...as we've come to see in the last few weeks. If Obama declines debates it may be a wise move to protect the current lead and push Clinton out of the spotlight- but it will also undermine his candidacy. He will be painted as weak, scared...feeding into the effete elitist tag he's been given.

And the superdelegates are watching. posted 04/27/2008 at 12:37:19

Obama Donor Received A State Grant

Both Clinton and Obama are great candidates- but when you place yourself above the fray..and inspire to change the status quo...you better not appear to play the game.

Roll your eyes if you must- whether it's fair or not such blips feed into the perception "What else don't we know about Barack the candidate?" posted 04/27/2008 at 12:59:13

The Importance of Black Voters, and the Stupidity of Ignoring Them

Clyburn has shown his own cards- he supports Obama without officially stating so- a la Carter and Sharpton. It's a very nefarious approach- nail the opponent, support your candidate...and your candidate isn't responsible for your actions. It's interesting that just before Carter met with Hamas he stated he would not endorse a candidate. Sharpton admitted that he could help Obama more if he didn't formally endorse Barack.

I am intrigued by the Lincoln debate offer: Imagine these two speaking extemporaneously sans moderators. At a time when the race is essentially a dead heat, I can't imagine not debating.

In the end, it's about electing a great president.

Obama needs to start winning, he should debate (Otherwise he will be painted as weak and afeared) and he must try to settle the Florida and Michigan fiascos honorably (If not, there will always be a question mark about the race).

Clinton has to keep winning, speak from her heart (Forget about talking points and triangulation), and she must be truthful (Another boneheaded "Bosnia" and she's out).

These are two amazing candidates. I, for one, am still hopeful for an O/C or C/O ticket.

I believe parsing the demographics, weighing voter import etc... is wrong. Every vote is important. Or, did we learn nothing from the 2000 election? posted 04/26/2008 at 23:37:00

Keith Olbermann's Idea For Beating Hillary: Literally Beating Hillary

MisogynyNBC

Imagine if this were said of Obama- god forbid, Henny Penny.

There would be analogies to lynching, racism etc...

Clyburn would be screaming about how bizarre it was.

Considering the source..and the line-up of Matthews, Shuster et al , why is anyone surprised?

Nevertheless, kudos to Olbermann if he really is sorry for the remark. posted 04/25/2008 at 17:56:17

Media Jump Ship From Obama To Clinton

Pleeeeeeaasssseeee

After the recent OpEd hatchet job on Senator Clinton, I find this article more than disingenuous.

Senator Obama has had a relatively free ride so far- and when pundits and journalists begin vetting and questioning, we hear such hyperbole from Ms. Huffington et al.

This has been a tame election-fasten your seat belts for the general election. You ain't seen nothing yet. posted 04/25/2008 at 09:21:08

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean May Intervene In Dem Primary

Yikes- imagine those three deciding anything.

The "can't do" congress leadership has not a whiff of credibility.

And after what Brazile and Dean have done to Florida, I care not an iota what either has to say. posted 04/24/2008 at 17:53:19

Keith Olbermann: Most People In News Are Not Smart Enough For Analysis

Umm, this one is tooooooo easy.

Yes, Mr.Olbermann, you are finally correct- example 1a- Keith Olbermann.

The hubris is breathtaking.

Along with the other Obama minions at MSNBC, KO has lost his cred...and is slowly losing his viewers.

I NEVER thought I would see the day when I had to admit that KO is more like Bill O than Murrow. posted 04/24/2008 at 17:42:58

Carville, Richardson Continue Catfight On Larry King Live

Richardson met Carville- because it was on TV.

We in NM know what a egoist Richardon is- so NO surprise there.

Although I'm not a Carville fan, he cleaned Richardson's clock.

Governor Richardson isn't the sharpest tack in the box- and he's a woeful debater.

But what was up with Richardson? The facial tic with his left face...and the mutterings under his breath made him look a bit unbalanced. posted 04/24/2008 at 18:06:19

Excerpts from Rev. Jeremiah Wright Interview with Bill Moyers

Unfortunately Obama's candidacy is a mess. Despite a bye from the press and genuine excitement from the voters, he slowly but surely becomes "just another politician."

And that is too bad. posted 04/25/2008 at 09:30:02
Wright is a nightmare- Obama's nightmare.

The problem is that pure unadulterated hatred is exactly what Senator Obama says he is against- and yet his spiritual leader, friend and confidant is spewing such vitriol in a church of all places. I can't imagine sitting through such a sulphuric sermon...let alone letting my children hear such tripe.

Middle America won't vote for Obama if he is defined by Rev Wright and his most recent bitter statements. posted 04/24/2008 at 18:26:43

Pennsylvania Primary Results: Latest News, Video

"Silly" Headline...as Senator Obama would put it.

Senator Clinton had a great night- another big state win. But of course Huffington Post couldn't be forthright and give her her just rewards.

The mean-spirited low road of some of the Obama supporters is quite sad. Mendacity has been an issue- but not just for Clinton. It's hard to believe that Senator Obama didn't know what Rev Wright was espousing. Considering his concession speech tonight, why wasn't his conscience offended by Wright's vitriol? Oh, and wasn't that Obama's handwrighting on that bill- even though he denied it in the debate. And what happened to the straight shooter when it came to gun control- he bobbed and weaved...and it was Senator Casey the next day who correctly owned up to Obama's policy (One I happen to agree with).

The pundits just don't get it. There are many in this country who initially pled Obama's case...who now drift away... because the more we learn the less comfortable we are with him. posted 04/23/2008 at 01:04:35

Obama: Clinton Using GOP Playbook

Once again- the vitriol from Obama and his supporters undermines Senator Obama's original message of change and hope. No wonder more and more Obama supporters like me have drifted away.

Not much difference between Obama and Clinton with regard to their policies. I prefer Clinton's Health Care Plan to Obama's- otherwise, it's a toss up.

Unfortunately , Obama is revealing himself slowly but surely...and not in a good way.

And it's Senator Obama's own doing. posted 04/14/2008 at 20:51:48

Obama 'Small Town' Comments Draw Fire, Support

THE AUDACITY OF ARROGANCE

Once again the Obama minions bitterly lash out at any criticism of Senator Obama. No wonder they want the race to end- before Senator Obama is vetted.

BO slowly but surely is painting himself as the 2008 version of George McGovern. He may well end up winning the delegate count as the Dem's nominee...but I don't see any way he can win the general. He will not win many (if any) swing states- especially after the Rev. Wright fiasco, Michelle's remarks, and the flat-footed faux pas made by the candidate in San Francisco. It ain't gonna play well in middle America.

As a one time Obama fan, I lament the arrogance of his followers- and the utter disdain they show for others.

New Mexicans just shake their heads watching their cigar-smoking/back-room bargaining/womanizer of a governor pull such a stunt. Many in NM government know the truth- if you don't grease Richardson's palm, you don't have a chance.

Senator Leahy To Clinton: Drop Out

Hmmmmm Senator Leahy......win at any cost. It sounds almost Rovian in scope and conceit.

Forget Florida and Michigan. And while you are at it, let's take out PA, NC, Puerto Rico etc...

The suggestion that Senator Clinton bow out this early is ludicrous- I am offended that Senator Leahy would put winning at any cost over the people's right to choose.

It ain't over till it's over.

A Few Unanswered Questions About Bill Richardson's Obama Endorsement

Yes, Bill Richardson's endorsement of Senator Obama was a blow to Senator Clinton's campaign.

And I'm sure the Obama campaign strategically planned the announcement to move the news cycle along (As a good politician should)- further away from Rev. Wright and the "typical white person" statement...especially since the passport story can no longer be used to claim foul solely against Obama.

Give Bill Richardson his due. Always the opportunist, he must see the end in sight. A gifted politician is he, no one can deny. Not the sharpest tack, however. Moreover, from friends and neighbors that have worked for and with Richardson, this is not Obama's ilk. Senator Obama, despite his misjudgments and less than candid acknowledgments about his pastor and church, is usually a stand-up guy. Bill Richardson is a back room, cigar smoking, grease-my-palm pol. I'd be very wary of any association with him. posted 03/21/2008 at 23:39:51
