As you may have guessed, the name I use here is a derivation of "shock and awe," a popular phrase nowadays. The "magog" part comes from the Biblical Gog and Magog. I learned of Magog in 1975 when I first listened to The Firesign Theatre's "Everything You Know Is Wrong" album. That's probably the extent of my Biblical knowledge. I live in Signal Hill, California, USA, and is survived by a wife and cat.
